First, they responded to my call promptly and explained to me what services they provide, what to expect from them and their rates. The guy on the phone was polite and helpful. Second, two guys showed up with their truck right on time and they were wearing masks, gloves and were practicing social distancing. Third, they did a great job and made my moving very easy. They had all professional moving tools what made my moving faster. Also they took care of my furniture wrapping them with blankets and plastic to make sure everything is going to get to the destination safe. Could not have had a worse experience. Hired 3 people from this company to pack and move my belongings. 1) The last time I hired 3 people to pack and move my belongings was 2 years ago (from Sunset District in San Francisco to Jack London in Oakland) it took about 3 hours and cost $550, with tip. This time, I moved from one side of Oakland to the other (15 minute drive) and it was 5 hours (same amount of belongings, shorter trip), costing over $800 with tip. 2) They charged me for their lunch break. They charged me for their cigarette breaks. Even though I selected the "I'll provide my own materials" option, they used their packing materials (I wanted them to use the fucking bubble wrap I bought specifically for this move and gave to them to use but no, they used heavy duty Saran Wrap which is a bitch to get off of your belongings, especially when your movers hide your goddamn scissors. They also used my GARBAGE BAGS to pack half the stuff instead of any of the moving boxes I gave to them. 3) Opening the boxes was a blast. Half of the liquids they packed weren't properly secured so I had the pleasure of cleaning bleach, hand soap and hair supplies off of my belongings. The other half were improperly or insufficiently labeled. I spent half the night last night holding back tears going through these boxes. How do they get such good ratings? They beg for it, saying the owner pays them extra for Yelp reviews. The way they persist, makes me wonder how little the owner is paying these guys to begin with? Pay on your credit card in case there are any issues. Their manager Logan told me he would be refunding me in full for this shit show and almost a month later and I don't have a check or a reason from Logan as to why I don't have a check. So now I get to take a day off from work to sue them. Yay. read more

This was the most expensive, horrific, slowest, and most inefficient move of my life. I am so sad we went with these folks. The day began with the foreman explaining that I should only speak with him because the other two movers didn't speak English - this was a bid for control, as the other two movers were helpful and perfectly pleasant. The foreman took many cigarette breaks, and so often throughout the day it felt like we had only hired two movers. He also explained to me that the other two men were angry with him and there was drama going on, and that he was the only one that understood Americans. He then proceeded to tell me that he was sick, but that I shouldn't worry, and consistently had his mask off throughout the move, so now we feel like we must quarantine and test because of the poor vigilance around mask usage. Aside from personality issues, this was a painfully slow, extremely expensive move that ended up costing 1k over what we were anticipating spending. Please consider going elsewhere. I am so disappointed. It also sounds from reading others' reviews that we might've gotten a bad apple - and that the other movers this company hires might employ. To make matters worse, the move ended after midnight. We have two young children so my husband was anxious. As my husband was frantically helping to unpack, the foreman told him if he emptied boxes he would charge his less, but then switched which boxes he would take back after my husband was unpacking. read more

I hired a 2-person team for a move out/leave for bulky trash pickup a few days ago. I was moving from Oakland to SF and knew it would be a long day. Valentin was awesome and jeez, that guy moves fast! There were no unnecessary breaks from him or his partner, they made the drive time quick, and the biggest holdup during the move was not anyone's fault - the freight elevator was out at my new place and nothing to be done about it. The move cost me way more than I budgeted, but that was due to the elevator and nothing else. Valentin knew we were going out of my budget and did the best he could to make everything happen quickly. I was generally unimpressed with the service I received. This service sent two movers to move my one bedroom apartment to a new place just one mile down the street. This seemingly small move took the movers 8 HOURS to complete. You would think they were being very meticulous and careful ...but no such luck. They managed to damage the wooden legs of a lounge chair and my beautiful West Elm bed frame due to a sloppy disassembly and packing. In retrospect, maybe I should have micromanaged the movers to make sure their packing is done right...but then what am I paying for? This business gave me a partial refund after I complained about the service. That was generous of them. However, I still payed hundreds of dollars for a move that was agonizingly long and resulted in two of my favorite pieces of furniture being damaged. So overall, I'm feeling unimpressed and I can't recommend this company. read more

I moved from my old apartment on McAuley St, Oakland. Fortunately, Yelp provides Quote service, where you can get useful information about you future move from many movers companies. And the best quote I got from MoveMe24. It is super easy to book their service, just provide some information about your apartment size, etc. On the move day I got a call from movers in advan, they told me the exact time they will be in my place. It is very convenient and you can be prepared for everything. These guys, Genya and Slava, were very friendly and smile. They were super fast, especially with my big couch. You could see on my picture how cool my furniture was wrapped. I was trying to help these guys and even was wearing my work clothes but it was not necessary, everything was done in 1 hour for my 1 bedroom apartment by 2 guys. I should say these guys are fully equipped. I was afraid that I need to pay for blankets for my furniture, wardrobe boxes for my clothes, disassembling a few of my shelves and reassembling back in my new place, shrink and tape, but it was absolutely free. In my new place, I was very surprised by the nice service from movers. They were asking me where to place every piece of my furniture so I wouldn't move it by myself later. Everything was in the right places. The total time for my move was 3 hours. It is their minimum time, so I didn't pay even pay more than I expect (312$ for the whole move). I can't sing enough high praises about Diego and his crew. I found out last minute while in another state that I had to move in a couple days. A friend of mine referred me to Diego and after a quick phone call they set me up for the following day. On the morning of my move, I received a phone call confirming the time and location. Sure enough they were on time (if not a little early!) and ready to get started. My move was quick and painless. They even went ahead and reinforced my 100 year old bed, pulling out a square to make sure everything was secure. Also they had a couple little boxes for me to use with my final remaining items I didn't have time to pack beforehand.
