Loved this place. It is such a pikes place institution! I got the mushroom dumplings but could kick myself for not trying more. It is pretty much self serve, but you're really there for the food not the experience. I'd highly recommend stopping by just to try this place if you're in the area!

The first time I came across this hidden gem was two years ago. My cousin and I were just wandering, exploring every nook and corner of Pike Place Market. It turns out I had bookmarked this spot a while back and found it completely by accident, it was meant to be! Of course, we had to come back this visit because I still think about those fresh dumplings! Consistently delicious, I just couldn't get enough! I'm veggie and they have several options for me, which I love. Hidden just off one of the side corridors of Pike Place, Seattle Dumpling Co. is one of those gems you could easily walk past, but don't. Follow the aroma of freshly steamed dumplings and you'll find this cozy little space tucked by the glass windows leading to a patio with bright umbrellas. Their mushroom dumplings are flavorful, juicy, and packed with umami, exactly the kind of comfort food you want while exploring the Market. I also tried their veggie spring rolls, perfectly crisp on the outside and light on the inside, making them such a great combo with the dumplings. The dipping sauce adds that perfect tangy-savory punch to tie it all together. It's the perfect quick bite between exploring the chaotic market so comforting, delicious, and surprisingly peaceful once you sit by the window or out on the patio. There's a little wait, but I promise it's worth it! Definitely worth stopping by if you're wandering Pike Place and craving something warm, savory, and satisfying!

First time trying out Seattle Dumpling and I'm thinking of retrying them again when it's less busy. It was the typical Friday lunch hour rush and the line to order stretched out to the door. This is a very small spot and only has a limited amount of bar top seating. There's available seating in the small plaza just outside the shop and benches in the alley. Their menu is diverse. They have dumplings springs rolls, ramen, pho, banh mi, pork soup xiao long bao, and other items. Pricing is cheap and food is no frills street food. The ordering process is done through a kiosk. I ordered a couple of the 10-piece pork shrimp dumplings and a Coke and waited just outside the door for my number to be called. My order was ready in a just a few minutes. They don't have pre-packaged sauces, however they do have mini sauce cups and a condiment center. I was able to select and mix my own dipping sauce. First bite of the dumplings and they are lukewarm. Flavorful but not heated through. The chili sauce and black vinegar suddenly became the star of the meal. I'm willing to give them another shot. Perhaps during a slower period and see if it's any different.

Was walking through and decided to try some dumplings. This place was named on a few food network shows. We ordered shrimp and pork dumplings. When you sit down, they have black vinegar, chili crisp, and napkins available. The dumplings were SO flavorful and juicy. Just the right amount of dough to filling. It definitely was one of the best dumplings I've had.

What a cute location at the bottom of Pike Place! To order, go to the kiosk located outside. When your order is ready, they'll call your number. There are about 5 seats inside alongside the window, with a few tables for outside dining. Spicy Wonton Soup 4/5: I'm surprised there were lots of wontons. Didn't count but seems like there's at least 10. The wrappers kind of long but it's smooth with a good amount of meat. The soup was kind of bland. Pho 4/5: I'm surprised how good the pho was. Very flavorful! The noodle was smooth and didn't have that old rag smell I usually taste at other place. I don't think it has that authentic pho taste too it but it has the right amount of saltiness/flavor. The downside is there wasn't a lot of meat (see picture).

Small little restaurant hidden away. The meat was good, the portions for the price were good and I'd probably be back to try another item on their menu. There was hardly any seating side, it's quite small. Better to grab and go.

The pork and chive dumplings were hot and delicious, freshly prepared! My daughter had the clear wonton soup and said it was so savory! Highly recommend!

I would say 3.5 but since we can't do half stars - 3 it so. Very limited seating - as in only maybe 6 seats along the window bar. The dumplings were good especially on a cold day. The vibe is little strange because you are sitting a few feet away from the people making the food and it's very quiet except for other customers possibly talking. Maybe it's better to take away and eat on a bench outside (if it's not raining)- But then you don't get all the vinegar/soy sauce etc. So it's a mixed reviews. Good dumplings and it was nice to have a different food option from the other nearby shops.

After getting off the plane in Seattle then checking into our hotel downtown, it was time for a small late lunch before our anniversary dinner! What was on the menu for a cool, balmy, overcast day? Dumplings of course, of the Seattle kind! Seattle Dumpling Co. is a tiny shop at the back lot of shops on the famous Pike Place. You can almost miss it! The menu is small but focused on two main things - noodles, and of course their specialty, dumplings! Needing some warmth and sustenance wifey & I ordered: -Beef Noodle Soup ('light' spicy) - $13.99 -Chicken Dumpling Noodle - $12.99 -Chive Pork Dumpling - $12.99 There's a few barstools on the inside of the shop, and a couple of small tables right outside for some al fresco dining. We sat outside this time, oh that beautiful air! Took about 15 minutes for our order, enough time to take in that Seattle vibe! Oh boy, you can't fight the quality of Seattle Dumpling Co.'s noodles & dumpling wrap! Can tell they were made in house - not too thick, but still with a nice bite! Noodles were great to slurp on a semi-chilly day! Can't go wrong with a plate of dumplings either! When wifey chose 'light' spicy on her Beef Noodle Soup, she was in for an awakening LOL! Their chili oil added to the broth was spicy indeed! Almost too much for her to finish it all! So be careful if choosing a spice level! Might be better just to add chili oil, vinegar, or soy sauce at your own convenience. All three condiments are available for use. Other than the spiciness she loved the noodles! Beef was nice and tender as well. I on the other hand thrived on adding extra chili oil to my bowl of Chicken Dumpling Noodles. So very good! Noodles were delicious, broth was light but still full of flavor, and a healthy amount of chicken dumplings were included in my bowl. I easily had 6-7 good sized dumplings as a serving! Let's not forget the order of Chive Pork Dumplings as well. Oh my so tasty with a dip into chili oil and black vinegar! UMAMI in a bite! So good with the pork filling AND tons of chives. I LOVE chives! I nearly finished the entire plate of these dumplings myself! We got 10 good-sized dumplings in an order, I easily finished 8 of them like Celine Dion - ALL BY MYSELFFFFF....HA! Value is there at the Seattle Dumpling Co. too - few frills, basically a takeout & eat establishment...unless you eat-in & eat fast LOL! I imaging on a busy lunch hour the place is hoppin'. Good pricing for being on touristy Pike Place! They do specialize in takeout, I think on our next visit there I'll be taking some dumplings home on the plane! If the dumplings even make it to the airport!

Best dumplings and chili oil they use is amazing. They come out fast minutes after you order and good price. Love this place

Pork bao, Dan Dan noodles

Stumbled upon this place while trying to escape the long lines and craziness of Pike Place Market. The place is small and can feel a little hectic, but ordering on an outdoor tablet makes it easy to place an order and get out of the way. Ordered the pork bao and Dan Dan noodles. Both were amazing and the wait was only about 10-15 minutes despite being peak hour at the market. Highly recommend!

Seen their sign everytime I walked by the original pike Starbuck store in pike. It's located inside the alley way after starbuck pike store. Restroom is outside. Seating area: limited indoor and outdoor seating. Parking: you know pike place market. Very limited. We ordered: Pork Xiao Long pao Bean paste pork noddle The taste were actually pretty good. Chili sauce, vinegar and soy sauce are ready on the bar seating area inside. The people that serving don't look very happy.

Beef Noodles

I stumbled upon this dumpling place around 3 PM on a rainy weekday, craving something hot to warm me up from the rain. It looks like this place rebranded or was taken over by Lin's Handmade Dumplings. The food display immediately caught my eye--especially the beef noodle bowl. It looked incredibly generous, piled high with noodles to the top of the bowl, and convinced me it would be most bang for the buck. However, when the actual beef noodle bowl arrived, I was extremely disappointed. The bowl was only half filled with noodles, with the rest completely taken up by soup. It felt deceptive--like I was cheated out of half my portion. I hope they address this inconsistency, because it really left us feeling hungry. But I do appreciate the branded utensil packet.

The store is unhygienic and tastes is just okay. I got a stomachache after eating. Tourist trap.

The udon were really good but if you let them sit for a long time they get a bit soggy and lose their texture, mainly a concern if you eat really slow though. My girlfriend and I stopped in before a flight, which in hindsight was a mistake. We ordered around 12:30 PM (niku beef udon, garlic pork udon, and chicken karaage), and it took nearly an hour to receive everything. The karaage came out first after about 40 minutes, then one udon about 10 minutes later, and the final dish close to an hour after ordering. Because of this, we weren't able to eat together unless one of us let our food go cold. On top of that, the restaurant itself was uncomfortably cold, which made the long wait feel even worse. It also seemed like many other tables were experiencing similar issues--orders coming out at different times or missing entirely, with customers having to repeatedly follow up. What stood out most was the lack of communication. There was no acknowledgment of the delays, no check-ins, and no apology--not when the food was dropped off, and not even when we left. Given that we had to pay upfront and the price point was $20+ per bowl, it made the experience feel even more disappointing. While the portions were decent and the noodles seemed handmade, the food itself didn't feel particularly special to justify the wait or cost. I truly hope this feedback is helpful. With better timing, communication, and overall service, I think the experience could be much better.

Luckily I was able to snag reservations, but you do sit pretty close to the tables around you. We didn't mind since we had a corner table. To share, we ordered the chicken curry nasi lemak, sayap ayam pedas, and kaya toast. All three dishes were phenomenal, each with its own distinct flavor. The sayap ayam pedas was a huge portion for just 2 people, but we couldn't stop eating. The combination of soy sauce and fish sauce was not overpowering at all and the chicken itself was so juicy. The chicken curry in the nasi lemak was delicious with the coconut rice. Along with the anchovies, egg, peanuts, and sambal, it was a choose-your-own-adventure kind of bite. The kaya toast was the perfectly sweet dish to balance out all the flavors. I especially loved dipping it in the poached egg for a satisfyingly runny bite. I left feeling so full, but so motivated to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!

The roti jala is an always-order, and great for sharing. The laksa is really good, and a great option for vegetarians. I personally like the nasi lemak, but just be careful not to add all of the chilis they provide you, as that can really overwhelm the flavor of the dish. The nasi biryani is good -- the beef rendang is wonderfully flavorful but not the most tender rendang I've had. Portions are satisfying, thankfully, since all the entrees are about $20 and up. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. Food comes out quickly and you feel well attended to here.

The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
