I didn't realize at first, but you do need to order off the QR code instead of with a server. The server brought water quickly and was good with refills. Decided to try Dough Zone on a Monday for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. There is paid street parking, if not there is a paid parking lot right behind the restaurant. The staff were friendly and we were seated immediately by the window. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean; the bathrooms are right outside and need a code to get in. There are some hits and misses. Xiao long bao: these tasted delicious and they were piping hot. The wrapped is slightly thick and held the soup inside. Not the prettiest soup dumpling. Spicy wonton: it was more salty than spicy. The wrapper of the wonton was thick and clumped together. Potstickers/dumplings: these were good! Had a nice crispy outer skin. Spicy beef shank: this was absolutely delicious. Beef brisket soup noodle and green onion noodle: both just didn't have enough flavor and they weren't hot. Both were kind of bland and have reminiscent of flavors of what these dishes are. Cucumber: super delicious and I can eat a ton of this. It wasn't cut as nicely though as the pictures. Overall, it was okay. Dough Zone is cheaper than Din Tai Fung which is nice and they have more locations. But DZ has less variety and I wish there were some rice dishes on their menu.
