I thought the vegetarian options were decent We got a ton of appetizers. The mezze plate was good with three dips and pita The avocado hummus was ok. It tasted a little odd The truffle Mac and cheese was great too and the Asian salad was delicious The Asian salad came with some crispy noodles on top and had mandarin oranges in a tasty dressing I got the quinoa bowl - it tasted very healthy and was packed with super foods. It was a little under seasoned though I for Fries on the side too. I wish they were cooked a little more well done. They were a little pale overly salty and had gotten cold. I still ate all of them because the tasted so good The servers were really good and attentive Had an oat milk decaf latte at the end which was great as well!!

JOEY had a bit of a wait so I saw Saint & Second across the way with no wait. So our group shifted to Saint & Second.... Good decision! They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar area. They also have a private room that seats 12 people (lunch hour you have to spend $750 and dinner is $1200). If you arrive just before dinner, there's no wait but as it got closer to 6/7pm, the crowd grew. Regina was our waitress and she was outstanding! We had a party of 9 (plus a baby) and she was very attentive. She made some good menu suggestions for drinks. I'm usually a cognac drinker but since they didn't have cognac I went with the cranberry spritz (refreshing gin drink). As for the meal, I had Cesar salad and dinner rolls..... best dinner rolls in America.... I'm convinced. Served warm with truffle butter, soft and fresh. So delicious we ordered a few! My friend said the pork chops are absolutely delicious and 2 others recommend the fish and chips. Since it's located in the village Mall, the closest parking would be the south village parking structure. I can't wait to go back and try some other menu options.

Made a reservation here for a brunch with friends. Online reservation was easy. Upon arrival we were seated right away if not early, our party of four trickled in slowly but they still let us sit down. Service was attentive and helpful. We got our drinks first followed by food order. I got the shakshuka which was very good and full of flavor. There is a slight spicy kick to it. The food came out quickly and they had our waters filled frequently. Overall my friends enjoyed their brunch meals and we had a great time catching up and didn't feel rushed to leave at all. It's located in an outdoor mall space and we were able to continue our hang out in the common areas afterward. Parking was easy too especially in the morning hours.

Admittedly, when we chose to eat here we were VERY hungry so any morsel of food would have been devoured feverishly. But we enjoyed everything we ordered. The entire experience was pleasant. Food was tasty, service was very friendly and the restaurant ambiance was lovely. Our favorites were the Parker Rolls and the Mac n cheese. We would consider coming back when shopping nearby.

This is a new restaurant within this complex that is host to many shops and restaurant. Given all the establishments in this shopping mall, these places gets super busy, especially on the weekends and nice evenings. Parking can be tight...there is a garage parking lot. And parking outside of the lot as well. Best to come early to this restaurant on the weekends and nice evenings. The restaurant is hot as new. Most of the restaurant is bar seating which is indoors and outdoors. Some seats are around the bar and some high boy tables. There are seats on the patio area, including a couch space. Inside there are some tables, best to make reservations for the tables as limited. The restaurant also features a private dining area. The restaurant has an extensive drink menu. The drink menu features a long list of wines, cocktails and beers. Plus, the restaurant has a small happy hour which features a couple of cocktails, wines, beers and some appetizers. We had a couple of appetizers and then moved onto the regular menu. We settled on a 26-dollar hamburger and steak. Hamburger was solid in taste although a bit pricey. The steak was perfectly cooked! Better prepared than a recent steak that I had ruth chris which is supposed to be known for their steaks. My only gripe- was that they seemed a little overwhelmed with the crowd. Even though we were at the bar, it was hard to get service. And given how loud the bar area is and how far we are away from servers it's hard to get their attention. When you are paying big bucks, you want excellent service!

This is a new location and it seems to be poppin. My group went for out holiday gift exchange in Dec. The service was good, ambiance nice, food & drinks "okay" I wasn't dissatisfied but I wasn't overly pleased with the food. I'd probably go back not during brunch time. Parking is available in the structure.

Was in the area and looked for a happy hour spot nearby. Tried Saint and Second for the first time and it looks like they have multiple locations. This Manhattan Beach location is located in an outdoor shopping mall type plaza and looks relatively newer and very clean. Parking was easy and free! For happy hour, you can only sit at the bar inside or the lounge or high top seating in the patio. Both still look nice and the ambience is very modern yet coastal. Happy hour (HH) is 3-6 pm on weekdays. The alcohol was reasonable priced for the area. We ended up having two glasses of wine per person. We ordered 4 dishes off the HH menu between 2 ppl (half dozen oyster, fried chicken sliders, salmon taco, pork belly lettuce wrap) . Over all the food was good and it was decently flavorful. However, I felt like the pork lettuce wrap was relative small and not worth $11ish dollars. Service was pretty good and typically. We were not forgotten on the patio ! Which is a concern sometimes.

Stuffed stuffed stuffed. Great apps. the truffle Mac and cheese is a MUST. Great meatballs, rolls, and pork belly. Crispy tuna good but not better than other places. Burger and fries was solid with thick bacon and brioche bun. Cocktails were soooo good.

Beautiful and fun venue in Manhattan Beach (Manhattan Village Mall specifically) for lunch or dinner. They offer a good selection of appetizers, entrees and drinks so everyone should find something they like. Got to try many things and for me, the meatballs was the best appetizer but the Parker House Rolls didn't impress me like others. Go with the Prime Steak and Frites as your entree. Check my pics!

    Gochujang Glazed Pork Belly

I have been wanting to check out Saint and Second ever since they opened up at Manhattan Village last year. I finally got the chance to check it out during a brunch outing. Brunch is offered on weekends from 9am to 3pm and features a menu of various appetizers, breakfast offerings such as pancakes and egg dishes, as well as lunch sandwiches and salads. We started our meal with their Gochujang-Glazed Pork Belly ($19). This starter consisted of two big pieces of pork belly alongside some Korean condiments, kimchi, scallion, pickled daikon and butter lettuce. It was a good starter overall though I felt that the pork belly was not as tender as expected. Nevertheless I was fan that it was a lean cut of pork. The pairing kimchi had just a mild level of spice. For our mains, we ordered the Smoked Tri-Tip Hash ($24) and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich ($21). I had originally thought the Tri-Tip Hash would feature thin pieces of tri-tip but I was surprised to see large, generous pieces of meat. The portion size of this dish was perfect for sharing. The tri-tip was smothered with a rich chipotle hollandaise and served with Yukon potatoes, onions, bits of bacon, broccolini, two poached eggs and two sourdough breads. Though this was quite a fulfilling dish, I found the tri-tip to be a bit tough. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was also quite large in size. It came on a soft potato brioche bun that was toasted to achieve wonderfully crisp edges. I loved the crisp bread as well as the crunchy chicken patty, though I did find the chicken to be a bit on the salty side. The saltiness was somewhat offset by the peanut chili crunch, though I wish they had added more of it. The addition of Korean pickles, purple cabbage slaw, kimchi comeback sauce was also a nice touch. This sandwich also came with side salad consisting of local greens and herbs with sherry vinaigrette dressing. The salad was a refreshing compliment to the dish. Last but not least, I got a Vanilla Latte ($6.50). This drink is made out of the restaurant's housemade vanilla syrup, espresso and steamed milk. While the drink was smooth, it did not quite deliver that sweet vanilla flavor. Overall, I enjoyed Saint and Second. I did have somewhat high expectations and while I found the meal to be pleasant, it wasn't quite what I had imagined. That being said, I would still come back again to try their other dishes.

I walked into Saint & Second on a whim with a big group and it did not disappoint. The ambiance alone adds to the visit. It felt upscale and sophisticated but still chill enough for a casual meet up. The Parker house rolls were so delicious I almost didn't want to share. The Caesar salad was huge and delicious. It was perfect for sharing. Our servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and made great suggestions. This place is a gem, I'm already planning to come back to try more of the menu. See you soon!

    Truffle Mac and Cheese

The area inside is really spacious and the ambiance was serene. We got the truffle fries as a starter and it was really filling for 2 people. Our main entrees were the Shakashouka and the Tri Tip Hashbrowns. I liked the tri tip dish, it was salty with the bacon bits and glazed with a sweet sauce on top of the potatoes and broccolini. The Shakashouka was sweet and slightly sour with the tomatoes which added a nice flavor profile when dipped with the bread.

After about twenty minutes of being ignored someone came and grabbed my husbands empty glass but left my completely full glass sitting on the bar mat. Another ten minutes or so of still not being checked on and we finally decided to leave. I'm out the twelve bucks for my drink but I consider it a twelve dollar lesson in not coming back here again. Sadly, the only reason we chose to get drinks at this bar was because I insisted I wanted a drink before heading home.
