Saigon Drip has been on my list of places to go for a very long time! However, the fact that they close at 5:00 p.m. on weekdays makes it challenging unless you live/work near Pioneer Square! It must be that there aren't that many folks around here for dinner time, but I'd love it if they were open until even 6:00 p.m. on week days or just one day a week at a later time. I came down for some World cup festivities on a week day around 4:00 p.m. and utilized the opportunity to check them out! We shared the Banh Mi Drip, which is their most popular item, and for good reason! So much juicy tender meat and the caramelized onions just added depth and flavor. The bone marrow dipping broth makes this next level (and akin to a French dip, although WAY better in my opinion). I'd recommend eating this in store vs. getting to go as it can get soggy pretty quickly. Still tasty, but will be better in person, fresh. I didn't eve realize that it had pate on it (but after reading the description, that now makes sense why it was so flavorful). It was huge and enough for me to share (or for one person if you are very hungry). You order at the counter via a screen/app but there is staff around if you have a question. It's a casual spot but sufficient seating. They also have some Vietnamese coffee drinks which I would have gotten had it been morning and not afternoon. I want to come back for the weekend as I understand there are some different menu items!

Nut allergy friendly: I didn't even ask, just assumed a banh mi wouldn't have any problems, and I didn't have any problems. Time to Order: 7 Minutes for a to-go order placed at the counter. They're pretty quick! Parking; Difficult, we parked a few streets away and walked. It's a small shop, but don't let looks fool you. You enter a very modern interior with small fun decorations like a Taylor Swift cutout and a selfie booth. Orders are self-service at two kiosks, and a team works to make orders very quickly. It was packed when we went, already a good sign. We got our banh mi to go and got them pretty quickly. I initially balked at a $17 banh mi, but the concept seemed interesting enough and it was very hyped up by a good friend of mine. The banh mi drip opens up to a baguette packed with onion, beef brisket, and some cilantro. They give a container of pho broth wide enough to actually dip the banh mi, which I appreciated. It stayed decently crispy with a 15 minute commute, but I'd definitely recommend it fresh. Really, it looked more like a French dip than a banh mi. Anyway. It's a genius concept. It's delicious. Probably in my top five meals I've had in all of my Seattle trips. It really begs the question - what else works as a dip? Can we do baos dipped in tonkatsu Ramen? It's like they took a birria taco with consumme and made it even better. It was really, really good. Unfortunately, we also tried their regular pork banh mi and I found it great with the veggies, but very short on the meat. (2.5/5). Skip it. Just get the dipping banh mi. That's carrying their entire score. Would love to try their bun bo hue hot pot. I'd let these guys cook.

Saigon Drip Cafe is one of my favorite spots in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle. Not only is their logo cool, but I'm a fan of their free stickers and tote bag they give away with to go orders. They make delicious Banh Mi's. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their fillings, but I usually get the "Piggylicious". They also make mean Fresh Rolls. Shrimp is what I typically gravitate towards. They make tasty drinks, too. Yep, they drip in both style and the food they serve ;-)

The first time I had the Spam Slammin Egg was at a catered work event & I knew I had to have it again at Saigon Drip. It's truly so delicious and I've told multiple people about it. One of the best Bánh Mì's I've ever had... it may be my favorite ever. I appreciate the efficient, counter service vibe and tables inside. I'm truly a fan of Saigon Drip and will continue to revisit!

I absolutely love Saigon Drip!! The customer service here is truly top-tier. From the moment you walk in, they treat you like family and make you feel genuinely welcome every single time. The environment is always incredibly clean (even their kitchen) and comfortable, which I really appreciate. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their restaurant. The food is also consistently great. That's one of the things that keeps my staff, family and friends coming back. Everything is fresh, flavorful and always prepared the same way every time I visit, which, to me, says a lot about their ownership and staff. Honestly, this isn't just one of my favorite Vietnamese and pho spots in Seattle, it's one of my favorite restaurants overall. If you're looking for great food, great service, and a place that makes you feel appreciated as a customer, this is definitely the spot. Highly recommend! Easy 5 Stars

Parking: paid street parking only unless Sunday. Honestly it's overpriced. We served ourselves - cleaned up a dirty table when we arrived and bussed our own dirty plates after. Ordered via a tablet and there's no service or free water. It's limited tables/seating inside. We both ordered the beef brisket Bahn mi. The broth was luke warm, not hot, and too salty. The brisket would have tasted better if it came with pickled veggies. And it's a little sweet. We wouldn't come again.

WHOO this place was CROWDED and rightfully so! This was my second time coming here, the first was for a yelp event, and I was soooo glad I came back. We came around lunchtime so the place was packed but people rotate in and out pretty quickly so I was able to find a seat just as my food was ready. They are great with making sure their staff is nice and full so the service was quick despite the crowd and they were all so friendly and helpful. I love the vibe of this place and seeing it during Christmas time was cool. The food was SPECTACULAR as always. I was trying to suppress the delightful sighs that wanted to escape after each bite of sandwich, melting in my mouth, and each sip of bone broth. 11/10

Came here for some comfort pho based on great reviews. Ordered pickup and I was there before it was ready, hotel was 5 min drive and the pho was cold. I paid extra for rare steak and it wouldn't even cook!!!. I valet my car so it was literally 8 mins to eat. Horrible experience and overall the food wasn't good or authentic. Family is Viet and the pho went to waste.

Such a cute, swanky, place with an ode to Vietnam. I love the art, plants and recycled code container canisters! I ordered from their computer screens but there were people there to help if needed. Delicious Tofu Bahn Mi!! Well balanced flavors and textures. Strong Vietnamese coffee, mine could've used a little more sweetened condensed milk but that could be just my taste buds. I've only gone once but definitely want to try their pho or pho dip with my sandwich!

Came in for the ribeye pho hotpot and a grilled chicken bánh mì. The hotpot was a showstopper.... generous portions of ribeye in a rich, flavorful broth with a huge basket of fresh accompaniments (noodles, bean sprouts, herbs, cabbage, lime, chili). Great for sharing.

I had a 24 hour layover in Seattle and decided to yelp the area for pho. After reading the reviews, I had to check this place out. It did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is not big but I love the energy and the set up. There's enough space if you came with a group but you don't feel awkward if you do decide to come alone. There's smaller tables that make it easy to dine by yourself. I came for the pho but the reviews made me order the bahn mi drip as well. It was delicious! Very meat heavy so if that's what you enjoy, you will love this! I wish I ordered pickled vegetables to balance the sandwich more but you definitely get your moneys worth with the amount of meat in the sandwich. The pho was SO delicious that I swear I didn't use any sauce condiments. I truly didn't need any of it!! I was tempted to ask to take out just the broth so I could have it later. Ordered a bunch of the teas/coffees to go and tried them at home. Most delicious milk tea and Vietnamese coffees I've had in the states. The Thai tea was a little too much for my personal taste but the rest of it was amazing. I will be back the next time I'm in Seattle!

Saigon drip was not worth the hype. I got the bahn mi drip, and there was too many onions for how much meat there was, the sandwich does not hold its shape because the bread disintegrates, and it was too single dimensional in flavor. There are much better places for a sandwich in Seattle, this just doesn't make the cut for me.

I've been meaning to come here since they opened and I finally made it today. Came with my friend and we both ordered the bahn mi drip and shared an order of the fish sauce wings. For such a cold day, a sandwich with a hot broth as a dip hit the spot in ways I can't describe. I can't say what I got was very vietnamese - the bahn mi was closer to a philly cheesestake than a traditional bahn mi and it kinda felt like a french dip. But was it delicious? Very. And their wings, while on the pricier side, were also amazing. Crispy, fragrant, saucy. Basically, everything was great. Word of warning though this is a messy meal. Stopped by here midday on Sunday. Tried many places in downtown Seattle. This isn't your standard Vietnamese Pho or Banh Mi joint. It's a bit creative and jam packed with flavors. Their satè made in house is good too. Had the brisket pho, banh mi dip, wings, bo la lot, and some beers. Really enjoyed the Banh Mi dip which is like a French dip meets Banh mi. Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee. Meal was served hot and excellent taste... Their vietnamese coffee is top tier. I've never ever tried that such a good of coffee before. I ordered their Pho and the Dip banh mi, I was so impressed with it. Growing up in vietnamese cuisine, never knew this kind of Dip banh mi was existed. It was bomb, period. The owner and the staffs super friendly, the food was wholesome, fresh but fast, super duper tasty. I'm glad that I gave it a try and found out the best viet restaurant plus coffee shop in Seattle. I visited my cousins in Seattle last weekend and they have been raving about this spot. So our first order of business upon arriving was to eat here. We arrived during the Thursday lunch rush but they move pretty quick. We had the Banh Mi dip, Piggylicious banh mi, the fresh rolls, Pot stickers & iced coffee. This family-owned fast-casual eatery is a great addition to the pioneer square food scene featuring an uber hip interior and a great selection of viet food. Had the pork rice and Tofu summer rolls...ingredients were incredibly fresh and flavorful. They also have a wide range of canned drinks both American and Asian to choose from. This place has the most amazing modern take on banh mis I have ever had! I'm more of a traditionalist when I get a banh mi at your local mom and pop shop, but Saigon drip offers such quality food (the banh mi drip is my favorite but the slamming spam is great too) The service and ambiance is great, stop by if you can! read more

Went here for a quick snack and wow was I blown away, everything from the food to the bathroom was immaculate! First restaurant I've ever seen that has mouth-wash. Perched on the edge of Pioneer Square, this place serves some amazing food. At first we were a little taken aback by the small amount of sitting space at the kiosk ordering. we got lucky to snag a table and then out came our order of a Piggylicious bahn mi, vegetarian bahn mi, egg roll lettuce wraps, and cafe sua. All were great and the egg rolls come with lettuce and other items to wrap them in - highly recommend the place. What not to like? Well, the neighborhood. They've been an indie (Cafe Hagen/Freya) that has expanded to many locations: here in SLU, two on Queen Anne, downtown on 5th, at Dexter, the Waterfront, Freya in Pike Place Market and Nordic Museum in Ballard, plus sites over in Bellevue and Kirkland. The host asked us to wait outside and said she would come get us when our table was ready. A family who was already waiting outside was called in shortly after, and we continued waiting. We saw several parties leave and many people come in and get seated right away, so we assumed they had reservations. After waiting about 25 minutes, we went back inside to check on our table. The host told us that we "didn't leave a phone number," even though we were never asked for one and were told to wait outside until she comes get us. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she complimented my shirt mid-conversation, which felt like she was trying to brush it off. The entire time we were outside, we were the only people waiting, and we even saw her setting up the outside seating as the restaurant got busier. She never once checked in with us or said anything. The food was good, and our service once we were seated was great. Unfortunately, our first interaction with the host left a bad first impression and took away from the overall experience. I ordered to-go online, and from the first moment I walked into the restaurant to pick up my food, I was met with a sweet smokey aroma, very reminiscent of street food stalls back in motherland of Vietnam herself. It took me 10 minutes to drive home, so I wasn't expecting anything wonderful from the skin. Boy was I wrong. From the first bite to the last, it was nothing short of heavenly. The chicken wings were still crispy on the outside (despite the drive time home), giving way to succulent and tender meat on the inside. The caramelization was an art form, creating a delicate balance between sweet and savory that danced across my palate. The subtle hints of Vietnamese spices added a depth and complexity to the dish, and I made everyone in my house try it out. My only regret was not ordering more. We scarved it down so fast that we forgot to take a picture, but rest assured, it was beautiful. I can't wait to return here to try the other dishes that this place has to offer. Although I didn't check in until after placing my order, the staff were exceptionally accommodating and allowed me to utilize my check-in deal for a complimentary appetizer, enabling me to sample their wings. The hot pot dishes are priced at market value; my ribeye steak pho was $38 during my visit--admittedly on the higher side--but ample enough to serve two. The ribeye was fresh and tender, while the broth was pleasant, though it failed to make a strong impression, which was somewhat disappointing. I visited around 3 p.m. and found parking right outside the cafe with no hassle. There was no line, and I was greeted right away by friendly staff. The dining room had a cozy, festive vibe with plenty of seating. I opted for a Bánh Mì Drip to-go, and while it didn't look like a traditional bánh mì, the flavor was outstanding. It had a similar feel to a Philly cheesesteak, but it was less greasy and packed with more depth of flavor. The broth was unique and really elevated the sandwich, making each bite soft and savory. Nostalgia Meets Modern! I came here with high expectations hearing from others talk about this must-try new Vietnamese cuisine and, honestly, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere reminds of me the street food in Vietnam with a modern twist. They have the Hanoi style noodles which are wider than standard pho noodles which is perfect with the amazing pho broth. Hands down, the best thing on the menu is the Banh Mi Dip. The brisket is tender, and dipping it into the bone marrow pho broth takes it to a whole new level. Vivian went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, checking in to see if I needed anything and delivering my food promptly. Her positive attitude made the whole experience even better. The pho hotpot is a fun and unique idea, but personally, I wasn't a big fan. My broth cooled down as I waited for the meat to cook, which made the experience less enjoyable. The prices were on the higher side for pho, which also took away from the overall value. Parking can be tricky, either find street parking or pay to park in the nearby lot. When we arrived, there were no open seats, so we had to keep an eye out and grab one when a table became available. Cool concept, but I'm not sure I'd rush back. read more

Beautiful lil restaurant with delicious food and friendly staff! We had bahnmi drip, porklicious, and durian coffee. Durian may not be everyone's coffee, but it is good and worth the try! It was our first time trying this place and Jasmine was so kind enough to let us try their two chicken wings flavors: honey fish sauce and sriracha (definitely squirt those limes!). If you're in Pioneer Square, Saigon Drip is NOT to be missed. Pho is a main food group for me, and here? They know what they're doing! I'm not much of a wing girl, but the wings here go hard. Absolutely love the sauce that they're coated in and they pack a punch!
