Guava Matcha Latte
Tiffany Y.

I got the iced guava matcha latte and an iced strawberry matcha coldbrew. Both are good overall! The guava puree is more unique and interesting! It definitely tastes like the pink guava and adds to the matcha. The matcha itself isn't the most amazing tasting matcha, but the puree + matcha = yummy!

Loved their new galaxy drink collection even though idk what it was inspired by. They were running a BOGO so we tried two different ones. The server was helpful in making customizations to the drink too which was helpful. The vibes were upbeat and there were few seats open on a late weekend afternoon. Glad they're doing well!

With all the other matcha spots in town, I would not recommend Junbi's matcha lattes as I believe they are inferior to a couple other matcha cafes due to their watered down taste, BUT I DO recommend their matcha cold brews! I am so in love with the guava matcha cold brew and I feel these are a much better harmony and ratio of matcha flavor. The fruit purées give them the delicious and unique sweetness that make these drinks so stand out to me. They are also a much better value with more drink per dollar than other shops, almost twice the drink for the equivalent price! So yea, take my recommendation and get the guava matcha cold brew with adorable Miffy sleeve. Also the staff here are all super nice!!

This is chain-level matcha - it's nothing artisanal but it's got the history of being a matcha chain that's been around for years. Huge menu and they have cute collabs.

Good drinks! I'm not one of those big matcha fanatics but I do really enjoy matcha, and this spot was great. I like how bright the space is, and there is a decent amount of seating inside too. I got the guava matcha cold brew, which was guava puree with the matcha cold brew on top. The guava flavor was spot on and prominent, but it did dilute the matcha flavor a bit. I liked the concept of the cold brew, as it was light and paired well with the fruit flavor. I'd come back to try their larger menu when they have a grand opening!

Heard a lot about Junbi and finally went to their Seattle location. I ordered the BT21 Galaxy Matcha Latte (black sesame, sweet potato, milk, and matcha). The flavors were interesting, but the matcha texture felt a bit grainy, which isn't my preference. Service was quick and friendly, and the store itself is really nice and welcoming. Overall, a decent experience, just not my favorite matcha.

Welcome Junbi! After all the pop ups, super awesome to have a brick and mortar. Very familiar with Junbi as a chain and they're fairly consistent. Friendly staff, great vibes, and a nice ambiance, 5 tables inside and a window counter. Three outdoor tables. Wifi available. Seattle's matcha scene continues to blow up and Junbi is the latest addition to the chaos. Drinks here are more affordable and valuable (more volume for the price) compared to the recent hits, but that does come at a cost. At Junbi they have the standard tall cups which means more drink but the ratio is a bit off compared to competitors. Matcha is lighter or watered down in a sense but lasts longer because there's more to drink. On the flip side, they get bonus points for serving boba, having decent boba, and being open earlier than all other boba spots. Matcha Latte - matcha was very faint and I'd say there was too much milk. Ratio felt a bit off but I've most recently been to the other matcha spots so I can't recall if this is standard at other Junbi spots. Would skip the basic matcha latte here in favor of their more special drinks. Strawberry Matcha Latte - their mixed matcha lattes are a lot better. The fruit and matcha harmonize well and make the light matcha less obvious. I appreciate that they don't overload on the fruit jams compared to a typical boba spot because it helps the matcha shine. Green Tea with Milk w/ Boba - matcha being fine green tea means a matcha spot likely has good green tea! Junbi offers solid alternatives to matcha and their tea is solid. i like that it's "green tea with milk" rather than a "milk tea" because it implies a focus on the tea with a splash of milk for balance. Boba was solid with a lovely chew and actual flavor from being marinated (I think honey).

My favorite matcha! I'm so glad I can buy it in person now. Service is fast and friendly. Chill and relaxing cafe vibe. Great spot to sit and catch up with friends. Seating is best for small groups. Limited drink options right now but everything is delicious. Street parking only.

Family and friends of mine have been supporting this place along with me when they were still doing popups, so now I'm excited that they finally have their location in Cap Hill! I went here with my sis on the day after their grand opening to no line but a fully seated inside. This place is an interior of yellow walls, along with some green which reminds me of their superb matcha. They even have an attractive backdrop for photo ops inside too. As for ordering drinks, servers were very particular on asking questions like sugar and ice levels, whether we wanted a tea or latte and other things. This was a big plus, since it shows they don't want to get anything wrong for an order, unlike other places that skip over those questions. I got myself their strawberry matcha latte, and my sis got their guava matcha latte. Both drinks came out around 10 minutes. It was almost hard to tell which was which until I remembered that I had the guava matcha latte before; it was a noticeably more orange color than the strawberry. As for taste, strawberry matcha latte is total perfection even at less sugar and less ice. Matcha quality is superb here and ranks really high for me, if not at the top. I could taste it when I had my drink; strawberry normally overpowers matcha when I have it, but this one didn't. Strawberries were fresh too, as I could taste some of the seeds. This location is very close to Life on Mars and not far off from ComeBuy Tea and Neighbors. I'll definitely come back again, even if it's for the same drinks. They just do it so well!

I came here during their grand opening weekend and oh my! the lines were long! They were giving out freebies and bogo specials, which made it worthwhile to wait. While in line, one of the workers were giving out free samples of their matcha soft serve which we appreciated while waiting in the heat. Line moves pretty smooth. The workers had a system down to keep the flow going. We only waited about 40 minutes. The store layout reminds me of a coffee shop with a few table seatings. There's also a wall of merch for purchase. We ordered both a strawberry and guava matcha. The drinks were very refreshing and perfect for a hot day. The matcha was strong but not bitter. Who knew matcha paired so well with so many fruits. Really glad Junbi finally has a store location in Cap hill area. Will definitely come back again for some matcha fix!

Junbi Matcha is a great addition to the growing Matcha movement in the Seattle area. I would definitely say they have flavors that you won't find in other matcha cafes. They have a tropical touch to their drinks. They had a bunch of alternative milks and during the soft opening I ordered through a window. The inside portion seemed to be closed off for the time being but there was a small seating section. I've tried this for the first place in Hawaii and there was nothing like the Guava matcha latte. Staff: nice (5/5) Sanitation status: (5/5) Strawberry Matcha Latte (4/5) The strawberry flavor was really refreshing in this. You can tell that it was fresh strawberries used since there were some seeds in the drink if that's something you might not like. I found that the matcha complimented the drink but I've had stronger matcha forward lattes. Guava Matcha Latte (5/5) I'm a big fan of guava so I had to give it a try. The flavor is very unique and I like the sweetness of the guava combining with the the matcha and mellowing it out more. I would definitely get this if you're debating on a few choices.

Cute cafe, no line interestingly and a lot of open tables. I ordered the hojicha latte w/ oat milk and it was a little too milky for my taste. I would have wanted a stronger tea flavor, so was a bit disappointed. Soft serve was only avail. on weekends - another disappointment b/c I was craving soft serve today :/ I might come back to try something else on the menu though (matcha perhaps?).

Cute matcha place. They are close to Phê where the crowds gather so there wasn't much of a wait in this one. They have cold brew matcha and lattes with many flavors. The matcha is good but a bit weaker than I usually like. They come in bigger sizes so the price is justified. They also have discounts if you donate food or supplies from their list.

The grilled cheese was made to perfection the bread was fresh, thick, and delicious, and it was packed with cheese! The tomato soup was also delicious with a unique flavor. My only (very minor) complaint is that it was served in a cup, which made it hard to dip the grilled cheese. A bowl would've been much better for dipping! Overall, this café was a quiet, cozy spot with pleasant employees. I'd definitely visit again.

Because you never turn away a delicious PNW Salmon dish. The place is cute, mainly wooden, lots of plants inside (my allergies were killing me here hehe). Plenty of sitting areas and window views too. I got lucky to seat by a window to just enjoy the rainy view. Their Salmon toast was delicious! I asked for the cream cheese on the side because I cant have lactose but I still wanted to try their dish with all ingredients. So I dipped the slices a few times to try it all and omg its so perfectly paired. I totally recommend it! The coffee was ok. I had their gingersnap latte seasonal drink. I asked with only 1 pump of sweet and alternative milk. I was not impressed. I prefer black coffee haha but if you enjoy sweet drinks you may enjoy this one. I still finished it, so it wasn't terrible just not something I'd order again. Also, Idk why my coffee was served on a to-go cup. Maybe that took some of the joy of it? Overall, I recommend the this spot. Staff was friendly. The menu is vast. Sitting arrangements are great and cozy. Within walking distance from the convention center and a couple of the hotels in the area.

They sell themselves around being a holiday themed shop which isn't a bad thing, but when it's not the holiday season, the charm feels almost mismatched. All that to say, I love the idea, the space, and the vibes here but have often looked past it because of my perception with the branding. However, I will say their menu is great and the holiday joy is more of a supplement rather than a cover up or gimmick. I would comfortably visit Jollidaze for their drinks and get a working session. Wifi available, washroom (restrooms) available, and outlets available. Ube Phe Latte - rich, creamy, ube foam on top of a strong ca phe! There's also some ube milk, so a three layered drink. Both parts of ube were nutty, sweet, and paired with the ca phe amazingly. Strong Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk always hits but the ube mixture is a cherry on top. Up there with the other ube coffees around. Strawberry Matcha - honestly a simple no frills strawberry matcha. Smoothly whisked matcha, lightly sweetened strawberry puree, and a cup to be mixed in. Maybe more jam than other spots, which can help sweeten the drink and add some texture (chewiness), so might have to say above average.

We tried the latte flight, which comes with four adventurous, creative flavors--including a miso latte! Overall, they were a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but very fun to try. The pour-over, however, was phenomenal: deep, rich, and full of berry notes. For food, we had: * Almond Croissant: Perfectly crispy on the outside. I loved that the filling was distributed all the way to the edges, so you get some in every single bite. * Chicken Avocado Salad: A wonderfully light meal featuring grilled chicken breast and a light dressing.

However, I did end up trying one of their seasonal menu items - the Sakura Blossom Cloud Latte. I customized this drink with oat milk, even though the foam has to stay as dairy. The oat milk added a nutty creaminess that I particularly enjoyed. There were notes of the sweet Sakura syrup with a slight saltiness from the cream foam that gives the drink its perfect balance. It was a refreshing drink for a pick-me-up and they only had it for a limited time! My only thing is that I felt some coffee beans at the bottom that may not have been grinded as finely but other than that, the drink was amazing and I would recommend as a good backdrop for a spring walk!
