Worst service I have ever had in my entire life. The waiter failed to bring my food. The manager had to get involved. The waiter said he had forgotten to turn my order in. Forget? The Calamari was unededible. By the time my food finally arrived hers was stone cold. I told her to go ahead and eat, but she was trying to be polite. This restaurant should NOT be in business. I would suggest that you find another place to dine. This place is atrocious. read more

This is my go-to spot for fish and a taste of Southern cooking! I've been coming here for years and still can't get enough. I usually go for the catfish or shrimp basket--the catfish basket comes with four huge, thick pieces of fish that always taste fresh. It even includes a few hush puppies, which is a nice touch. Now, if you're expecting the full Southern experience like you'd get in LA or Mississippi--raw onions, crackers on the side, and a wide selection of hot sauces--you might be a little let down. They only offer Tabasco for heat. Their main attraction is the crab and seafood boils, which always look amazing, but since my family isn't into seafood or Southern food, I usually come solo. The portions are too big for one person, otherwise I'd be all over them. The service is top-notch. Ask for Spasa--she treats you like royalty every time. It can get a little loud since a lot of the food is served family-style, but I don't mind it. Honestly, it just adds to the vibe. read more

Spasa was the best server EVER!!! And the food was good too. We enjoyed a Cajun boil and the grilled shrimp - all delicious!

Very pleasant clean and delish. Had the Cajun pasta and it was yummy. Husband had the catfish po boy and it was fantastic. Our waiter Kasey was outstanding very talkative and friendly will be back again real soon read more

Had a wonderful lunch of crab, shrimp, crayfish and sides. Our server, Krista, was pleasant and fun. The seafood was amazing! Didn't expect such good quality seafood in a desert town. The beignets were warm and yummy. As a side note the crayfish tails are about 1/3 of their body size. Casual dining atmosphere. We will be back, the prices are very reasonable. read more

I don't leave reviews often but the food and service were both phenomenal here. The spice blend on our seafood boil was addictive (get it crazy style if you come!). I will be thinking about how to recreate this for the rest of my life read more

The taste was wonderful but I was cheated out of money on my order on the crawfish and most of the crawfish body was broken had a bag full of legs no body parts was very upset about it but over all very tasteful over priced of course I think they should offer better deals and boils especially bein that a lot of people travel and pass through the portion size/price for crawfish is actually ridiculous read more

Rusty Crab Daddy - Crawfish special - Cajun/Creole Near Me - St. George, Utah

We are so glad Yelp pointed us in the right direction for a birthday dinner. We were staying in St. George while we spent all of our daylight hours hiking in the parks nearby, and weren't sure how seafood was going to go in a landlocked state. But because we were celebrating, it seemed appropriate to go big and get our hands dirty. My whole family is pleased with our experience and can't wait to come back again. We went with the holiday special (Crab Daddy Special seasoning, spice level hot), since the regular house special seemed like a bit too much food for us. The seasoning was really rich and the spice level was exactly what I expected for being the third of four heat levels: I like a lot of spicy but had one person who doesn't eat much spicy food, and we were both satisfied with the heat being not overwhelming but still present. Potatoes were tender, sausage and corn were cooked great without going rubbery, and the HB eggs were something I've never had in a boil before but am going to add to my homemade ones moving forward. The seafood selection was done well for the most part. Headless shrimp were easy to peel, crawfish were large enough that we could peel them without much struggle, and the snow crab clusters were just okay. They did feel over-boiled as the shells weren't cracking, and I wrestled with most of them when the cracker just smushed the shell. The lobster tail was nice, but at MP, I wouldn't get it as ours was fairly small. The only downside is the butter started to congeal as we slowed down, and it got to be kind of gross. But I think this is only an issue when it's 40 degrees outside. We also got a platter of grilled flounder with Cajun rice and broccoli because we wanted a bit of fish, and there wasn't an option to do a boil with fish. It was worth the addition, since it complimented the saucy boil well. Everything came out hot, smelling divine, and rather quickly considering how most of the tables were filled at 7pm the day after Christmas. We asked for some lemon wedges and they were brought out so quickly, and the staff sang to my dad and brought out a platter of beignets to help him celebrate! It was a great way to end a big birthday day. read more

This was very unexpected during my business trip to Hurricane. My colleague and I were looking for something local and possibly a seafood theme. Rusty Crab Daddy is a locally owned restaurant situated in what looks like a renovated fast food restaurant. Brightly lit with furniture typical for quick service restaurants. Our server was Holly who did a great job explaining how it works. I would compare this restaurant to the franchise Hood & Reel Cajun. You place your seafood order and it comes out in a sous vide bag. You first decide which seafod you want and how much. You then decide the type of seasoning and heat intensity. I ordered the 1/2 lbs of snow crab and 1/2 lbs of headless shrimp (you can also get shrimp with heads for a bit less). I ordered the Crab Daddy's Special which is mixing all sauces together. I did it medium since I wasn't looking for too much spice. It was perfect. Great seasoning/sauce with plenty of minced garlic. They serve bottled beer as well. I had the Pacifico for $5.50 each. Soda is $3.50 ea. read more

Great tasting seafood but when i asked to trade broccoli for a small salad they wouldn't do that. Poor service for a large price.

First time ever having a seafood boil and all I can say is wow! This place exceeded my expectations. When we walked in, we were greeted by very friendly employees. We were seated in a comfortable booth shortly after. Our waitress was attentive and very kind. She helped answer a lot of our questions, as this was our first time at this type of restaurant. We settled for a boil of clams, headless shrimp, and crab. We got the Cajun seasoning with mild heat. We ordered the hush puppies to start. They were just like I remembered while living in North Carolina! Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Our food came out shortly after and it looked incredible. Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted even better. The garlic and the seasoning was sooo good. It was so yummy to just dip everything in it. I loved the sausage and potatoes as well. The shrimp and the clams were my favorite. Everything was fresh and just delicious. We were just so impressed and can't stop talking about how amazing it was! We will definitely be back!! read more

My wife and I returned to Rusty Crab Daddy, this time to celebrate Father's Day. Once again we were not disappointed. Our server, Holly was very cheerful and really added to the overall experience. The food was amazing. We enjoyed the shrimp and crab boil adding an extra half pound of shrimp. We were stuffed. This is one of our favorite places an St George and are never disappointed. Shout out to Holly for making our experience so amazing. read more

The things I love about this place is the fact that what you pay for ends up on your plate--not paying for ambience. The portions are very generous. Service is friendly. To properly set your expectations, this is a Cajun place with the attendant spices. That isn't anything I care about. Still, my dungeness crab was on point. I recommend this place highly! read more

This is such a fun and yummy place! It's is super clean inside and decorated in a fun way as well to match the theme! We got an order of hush puppies, an order of onion rings, a side salad, and 2 of the Crawfish Special Boils, 4 sodas, and our total was around $115. The hush puppies were served warm and were delicious! My husband and kids loved the boils - you can add your own spice level or flavors for it to be cooked in and the fact that you get a bib, gloves, and tools too make it a lot more fun! Our waitress was fantastic, she kept our drinks filled and checked I. On us regularly! read more

My friends and I recently visited Rusty Crab Daddy in St. George, Utah, after finishing our hikes at Zion. We were looking for a good time, and Shantelle (I hope I spelled that right!), our waitress, made sure we had one. She was incredibly attentive and friendly, and she even noticed that I wasn't wearing my shoes (my hiking shoes got wet). I'm so sorry if I misspelled your name, Shantelle! I'm sure you're a wonderful person, and I don't want to start our relationship off on the wrong foot lol. Overall, we had a memorable meal at Rusty Crab Daddy, thanks in large part to Shantelle's excellent service. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, and we'll be sure to ask for Shantelle by name next time! read more

Diner style restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Tables are covered with a butcher paper for cleaning reason. The seafood served here is the draw, we came for a snow crab and headless shrimp boil special. It contains one pound of headless shrimp, one snow crab cluster, 2 potatoes, 3 sausage slices and 1 corn on the cob. You can add additional potatoes, corn, sausage and seafood. We chose the garlic butter on the side and a medium spice level boil. They serve it right out of the boil with extra boil sauce for dipping, perfect for the shrimp. They give you a great crab cracker tool and a pry open tool to get every piece of crab. A plastic bib is a necessary accessory to keep your clothes clean. The boil flavor was perfect and sharing between two of us was the perfect amount of food. The highlight of the meal was our server Krista, she welcomed us, got our drinks and explained the menu. She never let our drinks run out and offered drinks to go when we finished. She gave us the proper level of attention and answered any questions we had. Ended up buying Rusty Crab Daddy T-shirts (very reasonable at $15 each) and she recommended upsizing since they were 100% cotton and will shrink. Also ordered the beignets for desert, great yeasty deliciousness with powdered sugar. They have a napkin dispenser at the table and provide you with a large cleaning wipe at the end of the meal. If you love shrimp, crawfish or crab, this boil is a must try. read more

Do not come here at all if you have a dairy allergy. Table host got their gloves covered in butter and dripped butter ontop of my food. Also it looked like there was cross contamination anyway pior to that. I stupidly ate it anyway. Have symptoms 12 hours later. Table hosts/waiters need to listen when a customer indicates a food allergy or sensitivity. read more
