We were in town for a guys trip and saw the Crab Daddy come up on our search. It did not disappoint. First off, the service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. Some of the group hadn't been to a boil before, but they were told how things worked and the options. Four of us ordered a boil and the rest had various other choices. The house platter boil was perfect for four of us to share and gave us all something to enjoy. I recommend the Crab Daddy Special for the sauce and we were given some spice to add if we wanted so every one could their own level. We also had a birthday that they sang for and gave our table extra beignets because of our group size. Again, everyone was so nice and polite with great service. The server that helped us (her name is Canyon) was super kind and patient with us since it's our first time here. We ordered the Crab Rangoons as our appetizer. Hands down the best we've ever had. So light and crispy and the sweet dip gives it that certain je ne sais quoi. The butcher paper with the logo repeated as the tablecloths and the decor in general are on point. For the food, we had the "house platter" (meant for 3-4, it fed all five of us) medium with the Crab Daddy seasoning. It had the perfect amount of heat, not spicy but a lingering heat. We subbed out the crawfish for 2 extra pounds of shrimp, we didn't feel like fighting the crawfish. The snow crab was sooooo good, and the lobster was really good as well, not overcooked or anything. Also had the hush puppies and beignets. Hush puppies were a bit on the small side but full of flavor. We stopped in St. George for a few days on our drive to/from California to SLC and I read great things about Rusty Crab Daddy so we decided to give them a try. We went about 5 PM on a Monday evening and it already had quite a crowd in there. We were welcomed with a smile and promptly seated. We ordered a crab boil to share with an extra cluster of snow crabs and added mushrooms. The boil came with potatoes, corn on the cob, crawfish, shrimp, and crab and we chose the Crab Daddy special sauce. It took about 15 minutes for it to come out and it was delicious! The restaurant has booths with paper lined tables as well as open tables and chairs in the center of the dining room. Our server was courteous enough but did not go above and beyond for us as some others have mentioned about other servers, hence the 4 stars. However, the hostess/server was wonderful, she came by to check on us, and even went to get us a side of drawn better. We ordered beignets for dessert, which were okay, but definitely not the quality of café Du Monde. All in all we enjoyed our meal and when we are back in St. George visiting family, we'll definitely stop in again! read more

I love Cajun crab boils and seen this spot on several trips to St George but was always hesitant trying a restaurant like this in this town. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The service was top notch, from the moment I stepped in, the hostess was super friendly and seated me right away. The waitress was super attentive, checked in on me and refilled my water on a good cadence. The gumbo was tasty, with real crab meat, shrimp, and crayfish. I got the crayfish special which came with a cluster of crab legs, crayfish, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes. I did the rusty crab daddy seasoning which combines all the seasonings in a hot level. Tasty, piping hot, good quality ingredients. Everything comes out in an inflated bag and the waitress shakes it up and pours it out onto your platter for you. Put your plastic bib on get ready to get your hands and face messy lol. Once again back in St George and out trying new places. My wife and the rest of the group wanted seafood and this place has it all. When we arrived the lot was pretty full and we got the last 2 spots. Once we walked in we were greeted right away and a table was available. We were seated promptly. The table and restaurant were clean and comfortable it wasn't too noisy even though it was busy. Our server Bryden came over right away and got our drinks going. Shortly after we placed our orders. There was some confusion with wanting to sub out shrimp due to a shrimp allergy but we worked it out. It did seem off that you couldn't sub something due to an allergy but what can you do. I'm not a seafood person so I got some chicken and fries. It was ok but this isn't a chicken joint so I wasn't expecting perfection. The huge boils came out and were massive. Went on a Thursday evening and the place was packed. Still got seated quickly by friendly staff. Plenty to choose from including non seafood options. It would seem pricey but two people can easily share one bag of the seafood making it very reasonable. My son, whose birthday we were celebrating was very happy. She thought of everything before we even had to ask -- from extra napkins to perfectly timed to-go cups -- and she took such genuine care of us the entire night. The waitress was so friendly and helpful and quick, and also about 8 months pregnant. The quality of the crab and mussels I ordered were top notch. Big thick snow crab legs and big mussels. And the crab daddy special mix sauce was delicious. We also tried the fried calamari and some onion rings and both were perfect. My aunt ordered the gumbo and said it was wonderful. After reading so many positive reviews, we went against our better judgement and tried a seafood restaurant in the desert. It's not a fancy place, but it was clean and decorated in a way one would expect for a casual restaurant in an old Pizza Hut building. Wow, it was so bad. I am no stranger to a low country boil, which is what my people call a sausage, corn, potato and seafood feast. They are usually delicious, but this one was not. We had clams, lobster, and crab in ours. The lobster was so stuck to the shell that I was unable to get much of it out. This is probably caused by it being cooked too slowly, allowing the flesh and shell to react and bond together. That's why lobster is supposed to be cooked in boiling water. I don't know what they did here, but it wasn't cooked properly. The clams were on the small side and seemed overcooked. The crab was just OK, but not great. Our "boils" also contained two small potatoes, a few pieces of sausage, and a half ear of corn that was so old and gummy we only had one bite of it. It was all coated with Cajun seasoning that was way too salty. The only good part was the service, which was friendly and professional. In summary, it was $75 for a truly sub-par meal. read more

Not hard to mess up, because it is a chain restaurant, but this place really does serve some pretty darn good and fresh seafood boil. We've been here twice, and we really like the place.
