We were in town for a guys trip and saw the Crab Daddy come up on our search. It did not disappoint. First off, the service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. Some of the group hadn't been to a boil before, but they were told how things worked and the options. Four of us ordered a boil and the rest had various other choices. The house platter boil was perfect for four of us to share and gave us all something to enjoy. I recommend the Crab Daddy Special for the sauce and we were given some spice to add if we wanted so every one could their own level. We also had a birthday that they sang for and gave our table extra beignets because of our group size. Again, everyone was so nice and polite with great service. If I make it back to the area I will definitely be back! read more

This place exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting it to be as delicious as it was. The shrimp, the muscles, the sauce everything was cooked perfectly. Not to mention the service here was quick!!! I got my food within 10 minutes of ordering it. Definitely coming back when I'm in St. George again read more

Rusty Crab Daddy - Cajun/Creole Near Me - St. George, Utah

Really good atmosphere and fresh fish, best catfish in southern utah. Quick and friendly service.

The server that helped us (her name is Canyon) was super kind and patient with us since it's our first time here. We ordered the Crab Rangoons as our appetizer. Hands down the best we've ever had. So light and crispy and the sweet dip gives it that certain je ne sais quoi. The butcher paper with the logo repeated as the tablecloths and the decor in general are on point. We also ordered the crawfish boil special and the chicken tender po boy. Both were super fresh, flavorful and amazing. We will ABSOLUTELY be coming here again! read more

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Shout out to Angie, she was an amazing waitress, drinks were never empty and we were checked on frequently. For the food, we had the "house platter" (meant for 3-4, it fed all five of us) medium with the Crab Daddy seasoning. It had the perfect amount of heat, not spicy but a lingering heat. We subbed out the crawfish for 2 extra pounds of shrimp, we didn't feel like fighting the crawfish. The snow crab was sooooo good, and the lobster was really good as well, not overcooked or anything. Also had the hush puppies and beignets. Hush puppies were a bit on the small side but full of flavor. Beignets were hot and fresh, with tons of powdered sugar (we may have gotten in to them before I took the picture ) The bad: I got nothing, it was great! read more

Holly was awesome and great food! Better plan on getting greasy but worth it. We did the shrimp boil and great flavor. Serve beer which is nice and clean place considering all the boils they put out. You don't have to do a boil, they have plated options as well. We will be back. read more

Inedible gumbo. Tasted like the roux was burnt, way too spicy for Cajon gumbo and 350% too much salt....and I like spicy and salt ...but like I said inedible read more

FOOD the seafood boil is "light," so i wouldn't say there's a strong cajun flavor (despite being the flavor we got). i'd also say the same applies to the fries--they were just regular fries; HOWEVERRR, it was a good kind of buttery, so we enjoyed it :) ALSO WELL-PRICED BTW SERVICE there are a lot of servers moving around, but our server never forgot about us! so we were able to get everything smoothly AMBIANCE there are a lottt of tables inside so no need to worry about that ! + there's lik 4 tv's playing different channels, so i thought that was pretty cool LOL ultimately super cute w super cute decor too read more

We stopped in St. George for a few days on our drive to/from California to SLC and I read great things about Rusty Crab Daddy so we decided to give them a try. We went about 5 PM on a Monday evening and it already had quite a crowd in there. We were welcomed with a smile and promptly seated. We ordered a crab boil to share with an extra cluster of snow crabs and added mushrooms. The boil came with potatoes, corn on the cob, crawfish, shrimp, and crab and we chose the Crab Daddy special sauce. It took about 15 minutes for it to come out and it was delicious! The restaurant has booths with paper lined tables as well as open tables and chairs in the center of the dining room. Our server was courteous enough but did not go above and beyond for us as some others have mentioned about other servers, hence the 4 stars. However, the hostess/server was wonderful, she came by to check on us, and even went to get us a side of drawn better. We ordered beignets for dessert, which were okay, but definitely not the quality of café Du Monde. All in all we enjoyed our meal and when we are back in St. George visiting family, we'll definitely stop in again! read more

I love Cajun crab boils and seen this spot on several trips to St George but was always hesitant trying a restaurant like this in this town. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The service was top notch, from the moment I stepped in, the hostess was super friendly and seated me right away. The waitress was super attentive, checked in on me and refilled my water on a good cadence. The gumbo was tasty, with real crab meat, shrimp, and crayfish. I got the crayfish special which came with a cluster of crab legs, crayfish, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes. I did the rusty crab daddy seasoning which combines all the seasonings in a hot level. Tasty, piping hot, good quality ingredients. Everything comes out in an inflated bag and the waitress shakes it up and pours it out onto your platter for you. Put your plastic bib on get ready to get your hands and face messy lol. This place would stand up against most spots in salt lake. Don't be like me and avoid coming here thinking St George can't do seafood boils right. read more

Once again back in St George and out trying new places. My wife and the rest of the group wanted seafood and this place has it all. When we arrived the lot was pretty full and we got the last 2 spots. Once we walked in we were greeted right away and a table was available. We were seated promptly. The table and restaurant were clean and comfortable it wasn't too noisy even though it was busy. Our server Bryden came over right away and got our drinks going. Shortly after we placed our orders. There was some confusion with wanting to sub out shrimp due to a shrimp allergy but we worked it out. It did seem off that you couldn't sub something due to an allergy but what can you do. I'm not a seafood person so I got some chicken and fries. It was ok but this isn't a chicken joint so I wasn't expecting perfection. The huge boils came out and were massive. There was plenty for everyone and nothing was left behind. Everyone really enjoyed all the different morsels and I don't think much was left. Overall the service was good as well as the food. We would definitely visit again. read more

Went on a Thursday evening and the place was packed. Still got seated quickly by friendly staff. Plenty to choose from including non seafood options. It would seem pricey but two people can easily share one bag of the seafood making it very reasonable. My son, whose birthday we were celebrating was very happy. The seafood wasn't fishy and the spice was great making it overall a great meal! read more

Outstanding service and fantastic food. We ordered the shrimp crab boil and fried flounder basket. Tons of food, all of it was delicious! Shrimp were large and well cooked. We visited St. George this past week and were looking for places near by to try. Saw the reviews on Rusty Crab Daddy and decided to stop in for lunch. It was the BEST experience all around. Food was unbelievably delicious, crab and shrimp were so fresh and flavorful. Perfectly seasoned! The staff, Kacey was our waiter, were phenomenal. So polite, accommodating, and attentive. Definitely some of the best service we've ever received. Our food came out fast, cups were never empty, and price was incredibly fair. Would come here again next time we come through Utah. We had dinner at Rusty Crab Daddy tonight, and our waitress Spasa absolutely made the evening. She thought of everything before we even had to ask -- from extra napkins to perfectly timed to-go cups -- and she took such genuine care of us the entire night. It was my friend's birthday, and Spasa made her feel happy, celebrated, and completely cared for. Her kindness felt effortless, and her attention to detail was impeccable. I've eaten my way through more restaurants than I can count, and I truly believe Spasa might be the best waitress I've ever had. Rusty Crab Daddy is lucky to have someone who brings this much heart to what she does. We'll be back just because of her. read more

We were on vacation in St. George and it was my brother's idea to try this place. We loved it! Fun decor and atmosphere. Our waiter was really nice and gave good recommendations. We tried the gumbo and it was way good and a decent size. They have lunch specials that were reasonably priced. I got the fried tilapia basket off the lunch menu. It came with 4 pieces that were a decent size. All baskets come with hush puppies and a choice of of another side. I got Cajun fries with mine. The tilapia was crispy and delicious. They gave me a ton of fries and I also enjoyed the hush puppies. The meal was very filling. I will for sure be back. read more

I'm pretty sure this place is half of the reason my dad moved to Utah... Who knew that the best seafood boil I've ever had would be in St. George!! My dad and I stopped here on our trip out to Zion (he looked at me like a crazy person when I suggested a seafood boil in Utah). We did a custom boil with all the spices, lobster, crab, corn, sausage, and potatoes. While the vibe of the restaurant is a little tacky... the wait staff is fantastic, and the food is phenomenal. Can't wait to visit this place again when I visit! read more

Interesting spot. Basically we had oyster po boys and various fish & chips, etc. but the main attraction are the boils - immense and more for sharing but it was packed. The reality is we're from east coast and seafood that's fresh in Utah? Hmmmm suspect to me but folks likes it. read more

This is probably one of the best restaurants in St George. After a year of living here I finally decided to try Rusty Crab Daddy, They did not let me down. The service was excellent. The waitress was so friendly and helpful and quick, and also about 8 months pregnant. The quality of the crab and mussels I ordered were top notch. Big thick snow crab legs and big mussels. And the crab daddy special mix sauce was delicious. We also tried the fried calamari and some onion rings and both were perfect. My aunt ordered the gumbo and said it was wonderful. When we finished our meals, the waitress brought over a free order of beignets, they were so amazing.. I'll be coming back for sure , very soon. I Rhighly recommend this place. read more

Who in the world would drive from the California coast to Utah and order seafood? This guy. You can't get good southern style food like this in Santa Barbara. I really really wanted a shrimp boil but went with a broiled seafood platter instead to keep my gout from flaring up. It came with a heaping pile of serviceable fried rice and tasty steamed broccoli. The halibut and shrimp were both very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Good prices, friendly staff, and a clean interior. They're awfully close to five stars, make it 4.5. read more

Rusty Crab Daddy - Baked Platter - Cajun/Creole Near Me - St. George, Utah

After reading so many positive reviews, we went against our better judgement and tried a seafood restaurant in the desert. It's not a fancy place, but it was clean and decorated in a way one would expect for a casual restaurant in an old Pizza Hut building. Wow, it was so bad. I am no stranger to a low country boil, which is what my people call a sausage, corn, potato and seafood feast. They are usually delicious, but this one was not. We had clams, lobster, and crab in ours. The lobster was so stuck to the shell that I was unable to get much of it out. This is probably caused by it being cooked too slowly, allowing the flesh and shell to react and bond together. That's why lobster is supposed to be cooked in boiling water. I don't know what they did here, but it wasn't cooked properly. The clams were on the small side and seemed overcooked. The crab was just OK, but not great. Our "boils" also contained two small potatoes, a few pieces of sausage, and a half ear of corn that was so old and gummy we only had one bite of it. It was all coated with Cajun seasoning that was way too salty. The only good part was the service, which was friendly and professional. In summary, it was $75 for a truly sub-par meal. read more

Ambience: terrible Food: off the charts! Service: very very good The St. George restaurant served us sodas and kept them topped off. The food was amazing, and was exactly what we had ordered. Not hard to mess up, because it is a chain restaurant, but this place really does serve some pretty darn good and fresh seafood boil. We've been here twice, and we really like the place. We don't mind that it's not a refined fancy restaurant, it has exactly somebody on the carnivore diet wants: lots of protein and healthy fats. Heaven read more

Worst service I have ever had in my entire life. The waiter failed to bring my food. The manager had to get involved. The waiter said he had forgotten to turn my order in. Forget? The Calamari was unededible. By the time my food finally arrived hers was stone cold. I told her to go ahead and eat, but she was trying to be polite. This restaurant should NOT be in business. I would suggest that you find another place to dine. This place is atrocious. read more
