If there's one thing I don't skip when in town, it's a meal or two at Mo' Bettahs. I literally look forward to their plate lunches every time, and they never get old! I was overly thrilled that early this month they offered a buy one get one free regular plate - what a treat! (hoping they do this more often) I always get the chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki with rice and macaroni salad. Their macaroni is hands down the best I've had other than my own, and the rice super consistently delicious. This time around I had Arielle serve me who was a manager, and wow! What a fantastic person who embodies everything the company stands for. She was training when I arrived, but made sure to make sure the food I got was top notch. The katsu had been sitting for awhile and if I was able to wait a few minutes, she offered to make a fresh batch. I have to say, nothing beats fresh katsu. Thank you Arielle for making my visit extra special! ------ I just wanted to add a side note. After reading everyone's reviews about Honolulu Grill, I thought maybe just maybe there was a place that did it better. I second guessed myself one night and gave it a go. Not only was Honolulu Grill more expensive (more details on my review over on that page), the service didn't come close to this place, and no one can beat Mo'Bettahs food. Big Mo Bettahs family here. We were disappointed with this location. Our sides of veggies were so drenched in pepper and seasoning it's like they thought they were breading chicken . We rinsed them off and they were still barely edible. They took forever because they even messed up the first batch so we were stuck waiting for the sides. I realize you don't go here for the veggies but it's rare to make something inedible. Will go to other locations in the future. read more

The food is average tasting at best. We received a $20 gift card for Mo'Bettahs from another business as part of doing business with THEM. The card would not work. He said they often don't. He also could not key in the card number. Said it didn't work that way. I thought it might be empty but he had no way of checking the balance, he said. We used our own money to buy lunch and it came to almost $40 for two people. They had run out of the chicken I wanted. I returned to the business we got the card from and related the story. He apologized for all that and said they'd had problems with Mo's and their card and were trying to change to another place. He handed me a $20 bill for our trouble. He didn't need to do that but it was a great gesture. It was 1230 pm during the lunch rush at Mo's and we were the only people there. I'd give it one star but the kid was polite. read more

The Customer Service was GREAT! Chris explained everything and made suggestions! What a fantastic employee! He even told us he loved his job !! Teriyaki Chicken was both mine and my husband's Favorite! I Loved the salad. It has mandarin oranges and crispy wontons!! The rice ( both brown and white) was a little mushy! Mood- Chantilly Cake Ok so I will admit. I am a very spur of the moment, very inspired by good pictures type of person. I called this restaurant inquired re: the cake, and had them to hold me 3 slices. And yes jumped in the car and made the drive. Upon entering was quickly greeted with great customer service. Asked if I had any questions re: the menu. I didnt. My only questions were " Did you save my cake" they all laughed and said they knew it was me and yes my cakes were waiting. You order at the counter, get your food, and find seating. So driving this far way ordered the big boy plate - The Ekolu Plate. Kalua Pig, Teri Steak, Teri Chicken & another Teri Steak, Pulehu Chicken, and Katsu Chicken. The lady adding the sides put down 3 heapings of rice and Mac Salad. So much confusion set in, as I knew I wasnt in Vegas anymore with those portions. I was way to excited for all of this food. It was all perfection. I had so much food to eat there, and take home to eat in the middle of the night too. Interior is really neat, all south shore beach style ( Actual pictures from Sandys ). Everything was very clean. Several table and chair arrangements. It is large enough to hold decent sized groups of people. Would most def recommend- pricing was beyond reasonable for the portions. I am still shook by this. It was good. It's fast food Hawaii but done well. The I wish the macaroni salad had way less Mayo but that's personal preference and not a knock against the establishment itself. I got the pull pork and sadly I got 50% fat "uneatable meat" and 50% actually meat, but I think that was just the luck of the draw. I wish they had Hawaii rolls to go with the meal but again that's personal preference. This is fine if you're not intentionally going to eat here. In other words, if you go with the flow with the company you keep its okay to eat here. Just get the child's plate minus the macaroni. The macaroni is the worse part of the menu as its tasteless and won't do anything to help your craving. At the point its empty calories that don't benefit you whatsoever. you may be better off eating at the Thai restaurant across the street. read more

Terrible service. I submitted an online order for Teri chicken at 8:44pm. We arrived to pick up around 9:10 (within our pickup window). The staff said they had "just received the order" and that they didn't have any chicken available. It's hard to believe that they had just received it. I'm guessing the staff just hadn't checked the online orders until we arrived to pick it up. So likely it's a staff training issue. All of the other meats don't sit well with my stomach, so I couldn't replace it. This is the 3rd time Mobettah's (different locations the other times) has done this, where they didn't have Teri chicken available. Incredibly disappointing. Will avoid in the future. read more

I LOVE this location. I have eaten here several times and it's always great. The food might take a little time but it's consistent. I told a bunch of people about this place and then made the mistake of taking them to eat at the Bluff location in St George. Don't mistake them as being the same quality. For fast food Hawaiian, the food, service and cleanliness of the restaurant were all wonderful. Even the cookie I got at the end was delicious. A very efficient place.
