Yum. I asked a customer where to eat and he mentioned this place. The place is bright with tables and benches for seating. The lady taking the orders was very friendly. I usually order Loco moco when I go to Hawaiian places but I went with the mini teri beef which you get choice of white or brown rice and mac or cucumber salad. I did white and mac. The beef was very tasty, a little on the sweeter side but tender. The mac was yummy too with carrots added for a little crunch and color. I wish they weren't so far from home. read more

So this was our backup Hawaiian lunch option since our favorite was closed for the day. Surprisingly pleased by the sesame chicken (the sweet non spicy version of the garlic chicken). Kids and I both enjoyed our meals. Mini size is perfect size not to overeat and I love that they have cucumber salad as an option for a side, a little healthier than the normal Mac salad. They also have mini malasadas...the dough wasn't quite right for a real malasada it was more like a sweet stuffed bread than a doughnut. Staff was apologetic for the delay in my husband's food and added a little extra protein in to make up for it. Overall solid Hawaiian food option for St. George. read more

We stopped by to try them out. I ordered the garlic chicken. The sauce was a sweet chili sauce which I wouldn't consider a garlic sauce but it was still really good. My son was being difficult so we ordered him a burger and fries. The fries were amazing and his burger was exactly what he wanted. I've been a long time fan of Hawaiian plate lunches, and a loyal fan of Mo' Bettahs. Finally the curiosity in me won out.. why was everyone saying go try Honolulu Grill and insisting it was better than what I had tried? I made the trek over to Honolulu Grill. First impressions did not wow me. While the place was clean, it looked like I stepped into a time warp into the late '80s or early '90s. Honolulu Grill's website looks equally dated compared to the interior of the restaurant. Prices are a little higher here when taking into consideration portions given at Mo' Bettahs. When you consider the specials/reward perks at Mo' Bettahs this place is a LOT more expensive. I convinced myself the added cost must mean they just take more care in the food. It is technically made to order here and they have a much more extensive menu. I ordered the BBQ chicken to compare one of their more popular chicken items to what I order at Mo' Bettahs. I was also intrigued with the coconut shrimp, because I'm a huge fan of coconut shrimp. I ordered both plates with rice as well as macaroni salad. The food was super hot, the wait was a little longer than expected considering it wasn't overly busy during my visit. Staff were polite, but I wouldn't consider the service anything over the top. Food wise, the chicken was ok, but it definitely didn't taste BBQ'd, more like baked (there wasn't a single grill mark). The coconut shrimp was a complete failure.. do not order this. Not only was the coconut shrimp excessively greasy, it was basically shrimp tempura covered in a coconut sauce. The coconut sauce on the shrimp tempura didn't give it much of a coconut taste, all it managed to do was make the shrimp soggy and more greasy tasting. The rice was average, and I actually didn't care for the macaroni salad. Sorry to say, the macaroni salad and chicken is better at Mo' Bettahas.. and way more reasonably priced. No, Mo' Bettahs doesn't offer coconut shrimp, but I'm willing to live with that... considering this coconut shrimp was a complete let down and quite expensive for what it was. My recommendation would be skip this place, go to Mo' Bettahs for better prices and quality in spite of their smaller menu. read more

Some of the best Hawaiian food around! The teriyaki chicken is moist and falls apart because it's so tender. The pork is melt in your mouth. Definitely the best meat option. I seriously don't think I've ever had better in the stage. The rice and sauce is good too. The macaroni salad is tasty but needs just a little more seasoning. I enjoyed the texture of it though. Thank you Yelp for showing me this restaurant upon my St. George search! For 4pm on a weekday, there was a pretty decent flow of people and for good reason! The service staff was genuinely very friendly, and you get a great amount of food for the price. There were definitely some more standpoint dishes among my family's picks, as below. All of the single plate dishes come with a heaping scoop of mac salad and two scoops of rice. The mac salad and the brown rice were tasty, solid pairings. The meals also comes with gravy atop your rice if you'd like, which is very sweet in flavor, and the consistency and sweetness reminds me of cinnamon apples (without the cinnamon or apples LOL). Singles Plates: Teriyaki Chicken - 3.5/5 - Juicy, served with the same gravy that's placed on the rice. While the meat was tender like a rotisserie chicken, the overall plate wasn't at all savory, with the sweet gravy smoothing the individual flavors of each part of the meal. Katsu Chicken - 4/5 - Tasty! Pretty standard chicken katsu & katsu sauce. Great crisp and for most of the pieces, ideal proportions of chicken and breading. Bar-b-que Chicken - 4.5/5 - So tasty! Thank you to my brother for letting me sneak bites. I've never had Hawaiian cuisine before and was pleasantly surprised at how great it is! I ordered a mini plate of garlic chicken which came with Mac salad and rice with gravy. Everything was made perfectly and was sooooo good!! I'm really excited to try the chicken katsu as I've seen many reviews raving about it, so I'm sure it's good! What a great little place to get some really good Hawaiian food from! It has an older mom and pop feel too it but is totally inviting and comfortable to sit in and eat at! The food was so delicious and there is a lot for the 2 meat plate. Like seriously plan on taking some home. My only complaint is that the Garlic Chicken might have been slightly a tad overcooked. The sauce is excellent but more on the sweeter side so if you're planning on the usual tangyness you won't get that with the dishes we got. Katsu chicken is always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They take great pride in their food - during our meal, they asked if we needed anything and how the food was. Such a great place to eat! The prices are great for the amount of food that you get. I ordered the chicken katsu single plate and I wasn't able to finish everything! My meal came with chicken katsu, katsu sauce, two scoops of rice, and a macaroni salad. The chicken was nice and crunchy with not too much breading. I've had chicken katsu at other places before and it was thin and over fried. The katsu here is perfect! We decided to dine in and out food was out within 10-15 minutes.
