Delicious - pricey but everything was great. Wish the fries were a little less greasy - the scones with honey butter were a great dessert.

I ate it too fast, before I could get a picture. BURP!

I had the best Reuben Sandwich here since I moved to St George. Everything was perfect. Haven't had one this fantastic since I had eaten at Jerry's Deli, in Encino, California! Though, I should have taken a picture of it BEFORE I gobbled it down.

Wanted a burger and something fairly quick. Service was fast and super friendly. It was mid day so not busy. Lots of seating. My bean burger was so so. They only had 2 vegetarian/vegan options. It didn't have much flavor. The fries were good. Crisp on the outside and still soft on the inside. A little pricey for a fast food burger. My total was over $17

We stopped in here after a hike and it was so tasty! We did catch a bit of a rush, so the wait was a little long, but totally worth it--everything came out fresh and delicious, and everyone loved what they got. The place itself is super cute too, with lots of artwork you can purchase, which made it feel really unique. Overall, we'll definitely be back and would highly recommend it as a great lunch spot!

Great spot for a cheat meal. Found this place looking on the Yelp app for a late lunch spot. The menu has burgers, breakfast burritos, a few salads, and fries, onion rings, milkshakes - the kind of spot for a splurge. The dining room is lined by displays of local artisan crafts available for sale. We arrived around 2PM and ordered, and it got surprisingly busy. Two adults and a toddler shared the Philly burger with fries, the chipotle burrito (without jalapenos), and a side of onion rings. Staff seemed overwhelmed and the dining room was full of dirty tables, they didn't come around often to wipe them down. The same lack of attention to detail seemed to impact our food. The grilled vegetables on the burger were very oily, the burrito was bland despite the plethora of ingredients and no salsa was available/offered, and onion rings were soggy. That being said, the burger was a good size and tasty combination of flavors, the fries are the lightly battered style we really enjoyed and paired well with their fry sauce, and my toddler devoured half the burrito. They have potential but quality and consistency might be better when they're less busy. Pro Tip: they have a QR code to scan at the register for free scone fries. When I joined it instead gave me a $5 off coupon that I was immediately able to use and appreciated. The next day another deal was emailed out, which is a nice touch to bring people back in.

Thursdays are the day to go! They had an awesome deal with the iconic burger and a fry only being $8! A delicious smash burger with the best brioche buns. My husband tried the Philly (it's huge!) and we were treated to a small sampling of scone fries which were tasty and not to be missed if you like a scone! We can't wait to return for this deal and to try other things!! A great new lunch or dinner spot for our family!

Going through my review drafts and realized I hadn't hit publish...this was from October 5, 2020 (yeah, I still have photos on my phone from that long ago, even longer ....). Burger and fries came out fast, too fast. The patty was already cooked :( Food and check brought out at same time but not my shake. :( I had to ask for it. Fries texture is that of seasoned fries but they are regular fries. Ignore Google when it says it's busy. Come anyway. Google told me it was busy and there were only six other people in the restaurant. Casual restaurant.

My husband and I were visiting St. George recently and decided to give Morty's Cafe a try. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a letdown for us. I ordered the bourbon pork salad. It was fairly basic, and I was a little disappointed by the small amount of pork. The carrots weren't pickled, there was no cheese, and the pieces of pork I did get were on the fatty side. I also ordered a side of onion rings, and those were actually very good. My husband ordered the Lil Buddha with sweet potato fries. He was also a bit disappointed with the tofu patty, but the texture was very soft and it kind of oozed out of the bun when he took a bite. Overall, while the service was good, we left feeling disappointed with the food.

Fantastic! The Morty's burger is an amazing little slider! When they ask if you'd like to add bacon, ADD THE BACON! They don't skimp on the bacon. Everything my party had was fabulous and the staff was super friendly. Such a great little spot and convenient to everything St. George.

Morty's has upped their menu since I've last been here - and I am impressed!!! The Philly Cheesesteak burger was awesome, the cheesesteak meat was melt in my mouth and the flavor or the peppers and cheese was perfect - 10/10 Morty's Doing it Right!! We will always be back!

Our main dishes took over 30 minutes to arrive, and it felt like they only came out because we actively hunted down staff to ask. On top of that, our Caesar salad was missing. After waiting another 15 minutes for the salad, we finally caught a server and explicitly asked to cancel it. 10 minutes after canceling, the server brought the salad out anyway, saying it was on the house. By that point, we were already finished with our meal and turned it away. Kitchens get busy, and guests understand that. But setting expectations upfront ("Hey folks, the kitchen is backed up about 30 minutes today") or proactively offering a small courtesy early on would have changed everything. Leaving guests in the dark, ignoring a cancellation, and then offering an unwanted item at the very end isn't good service. I'm normally a generous tipper, and frankly, a tip wasn't deserved here at all. I left $2.00 strictly out of habit, but the front-of-house service severely let down what was otherwise a great meal from the kitchen.

It definitely did not disappoint! I had a bit of a hard time finding this place as it's in an industrial area and kind of hiding, but it was worth the journey. For my drink, I ordered the blackberry smash, which was a mule with a fruity twist. It was delicious and much stronger than other drinks I've had in this area. For my meal, I went with the highly-acclaimed fish and chips, which did indeed live up to their hype. The fish was perfectly fried and the fries had a good bite to them. I also really enjoyed the fry sauce that tagged along with the dish. Our server was also wonderful and made helpful suggestions throughout the meal. This was a great experience and I would definitely return for future meals when I'm in the area!

Ok, for the food, the fried pickles were the best thing we had, get those. Light and crispy batter with a decently thick pickle chip inside, really good. The food, fish and chips, spicy reuben, chicken sandwich, and bbq wings. Fish and chips, decent enough, nothing to write home about, delicate batter, great flavor. Spicy Reuben...what a trainwreck, the meat was stringy and annoying to eat. The sauerkraut was sweet? Just terrible. The bbq wings were as described, so not bad. The chicken sandwich was not great either, chicken was dry and kind of hard to eat. The garlic parm fries though? Amazing. Get those as your side. We also had the Guavala and the Hef, both were really good and a steal at $6 each. They also have a small store front with no prices, frustrating. Overall, won't be back again, maybe we just came on a bad day, but once was enough.

45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.
