If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular at Viva Chicken. We tried the Caesar Wrap and the Tacu Bowl. The Caesar Wrap was tender and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were good but needed a bit more salt, in our opinion. The Tacu Bowl is really refreshing but the rice-to-topping ratio is way off. I'd absolutely ask for half the rice and still feel satisfied. The sauces are fun to try! We personally didn't think the spicy was spicy enough but it was delicious. Spending the night in St. George, on the way to Bryce and Zion, and popped into Viva chicken for dinner with the kiddos. For kids this is a great casual spot with fast service, affordable prices, huge portions, and, most importantly, delicious food! For 2 teens, 1 9 year old, and an adult we shared the lomo saltado (biggest hit must do), chicken tacu rice bowl (perfect mix of textures and flavors, daily special on Tuesdays), and the kids rotisserie chicken with rice. We got the passion fruit drink, and we tried all 3 sauces; mild, medium, and hot. My personal favorite was the medium sauce, which was green. We even had leftovers! We ordered the 1/4 chicken (all dark meat) with plantains and Peruvian corn salad, the Andina Power Food Salad with hand-pulled chicken, and a Maracuya (mango passion fruit) drink. The chicken was some of the best I've had--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Andina salad was refreshing, but we regretted adding the chicken since it came out a bit dry and didn't really enhance the dish, contrary to what some other reviewers had suggested. The sides were a mixed experience: the plantains were caramelized to perfection (a must-order!), while the Peruvian corn salad was less impressive. In hindsight, the beans might have been a better choice. The space was clean and welcoming, it was easy to find a table, and the staff was very friendly. We ordered chicken burrito, a limero chopped salad and half a chicken which came with cilantro rice and fries. We also ordered sweet potato fries which were really amazing. If you are looking for a side of your dish, do opt for sweet potato fries. The only disappointment was the rotessrie chicken which almost feels like the one sold at Costco. 4.5 stars! Great spot for Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. We came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch on our way to Bryce and I'm so glad we stopped by! They have a limited menu, which is great because that means they can do a few things very well. You order at the counter, get an order number and find a seat. The service is super quick. My husband went to the restroom and by the time he was back 5 minutes later, the food was already at the table. We ordered the Peruvian half chicken with fried plantains and purple corn salad, and the tacu bowl without chicken. We also got the chica morada juice. The food was excellent! The chicken was cooked to perfection and it was actually quite a bit, so we ended up eating it by itself and with the tacu bowl. They have 3 sauces available - a sweeter amarillo based one, a savory cilantro/huacatay based one and a spicy rocoto pepper based one. I liked the latter two and my husband liked the first and the third one. The fried plantains were very good - not overtly sweet, not overtly chewy. The corn salad was very interesting! We haven't had purple corn before but basically, it is much bigger corn than usual. The salad had a mix of blue cheese, beans, onions, etc and it was delicious. The tacu bowl was also very good but it definitely needed a little more seasoning. Once we added the chicken and the sauces, it was perfect. We ended up taking 1/4 of the chicken and about half the tacu bowl as leftovers. When we ate it the next day, it was excellent! The chica morada tasted like a spiced cider. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our family was staying in St. George overnight on our way up north. I had done some research on good places to eat. Viva Chicken had great ratings so we gave it a try. We LOVED it! The chicken is so tender and flavorful, spiced just right. The sides were excellent (we had plantains, cilantro rice, and fries). The atmosphere was nice, the staff was courteous and helpful. It was so good we had to return on our way home. We live in California and there are so many chicken restaurants, but nothing like Viva Chicken. Inside design and layout is really convenient for self service -- utensils, drinks and to go boxes. We ordered the family whole chicken meal, chicken is really juicy and flavorful, especially the three sauces: yellow , green ( my favorite) and red ( spicy but doable) . The sauce goes well with chicken also fries . Also like its plantains, so fresh sweet. The soup is different, kids does not appreciate the cilantro tastes but I enjoyed it, like the Haywood tastes and textures. For the salad, I think it is good but not my kind. Great service and food! We always stop by Viva Chicken for lunch whenever we're in St. George. The family meal is our go-to--it comes with a whole chicken and three sides at a great price. The chicken is consistently delicious--juicy, flavorful, and tender. The plantains are my favorite side, and the sauces are great too. The yellow (aji) is mild, the green (huacatay) is medium, and the red (rocoto) is spicy--but not too hot. The medium sauce is the best and my absolute favorite! In terms of other sides, we always order the sweet potato fries and this time tried the Peruvian corn salad, which is like a pico de gallo with large, non-sweet corn kernels and edamame--refreshing but different if you're not used to it. Skip it if you don't like feta cheese. The yucca fries (not a yucca person, too starchy) and cilantro rice (which is dry and includes peas and carrots) are also not something I'd go for again. I'd also advise to skip the Naked Peruvian Wrap--it's dry and vegetarian, though you can add protein. Opt for the Inca Burrito instead. The bathrooms are clean, and the restaurant has a self-serve setup for utensils, drinks, and to-go containers. You order at the front cashier. First time here after hearing how great it was with the couple we were with. Wow, great fast food! When I say fast, we ordered a whole chicken with sides, and the avocado quinoa salad and within 5 minutes of ordering it was on our table. The place was packed so I was so surprised how quick the service was. The chicken was very flavorful, the beans good, the rice good, plantains outstanding. As for their avocado quinoa salad, I will definitely be ordering that on my next visit. I'm also going to try and create that deliciousness at home. Casual and clean, easy to order at counter, with food brought to your table when ready. I ordered the half chicken and my choice of two sides were the plantains and green beans. Presentation looked great, but I was unfortunately very underwhelmed with the dish. The rotisserie chicken lacked the flavors that I was used to, the plantains were too charred for my liking, and the green beans were inedible. The beans were topped with some kind of sauce that was soooo salty, I couldn't eat them. I should have notified the kitchen.... The Inca burrito was ok, contained more of the fillers, rather than chicken. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy. The chicken sandwich was ok as well. Good but not standout. WOW! This place was popping at 5:15 on a Friday evening. Fast casual restaurant with a selection of family size meals, bowls, sandwiches/wraps, individual meals and kids menu. The line was long when we walked in and it continued to grow on our way out. Hubs & I were quite impressed with how fast the food came out. Food was hot, spicy and very fresh tasting. The restaurant has some booths, long tables and table tops. The only downside, for me, were the Pepsi products. I'm a Coke fan. LOL. Too bad this place is only in St. George. It is a Peruvian inspired cuisine, you order at counter and sit down restaurant, but nicely decorated with a casual vibe. It had colorful art work on the walls and an open concept. Parking lot is shared but that did not seem to be an issue. It's off the main road behind another shopping area so it can be hidden. Service was good, you order at the counter, find your own seating and your food is brought to the table. They have a salsa bar with a few options. Their portions are decent so you could likely share an entree item. We ordered a Tacu Bowl w/ chicken, steak saltado and two kids meals (kids pulled chicken w/ fruit & chicken fried rice). Our total came out for $67 for all of that and for 4 people (cheap!!!)!!!! The food came out very fast and they provide you with plates and also have three sauces available! Whole chicken: delicious, super juicy and very easy to eat off the bone! Walking in on a Tuesday night and the employees were super helpful as one person in our group was highly allergic to dairy. They had the allergen list ready and was able to guide us through the menu. We ordered the family platter with shredded chicken. It was also on a Tuesday deal for about $5-6 off. We also ordered a large order (8 pieces) of fried yuca. The yuca was creamy and almost tasted like mashed potatoes. It was so tasty. Everything was so delicious, well seasoned, and the chicken was perfectly cooked with great moisture content. Ok so I always thought this place was a local restaurant but I had to do some research after I saw some people in my hotel wearing Viva Chicken shirts. I will still claim it's not a chain as this location is the only one west of the Mississippi River. Anyway, this place offers rotisserie chicken that has Peruvian spices and some fantastic dipping sauces for the chicken. I got the quarter chicken (all white meat) with corn salad and green beans. I signed up for their loyalty program and received a free passion fruit drink. The corn salad has corn, tomatoes, onions, and another kind of bean with some cheese. It was rather tasty and I would recommend. The green beans are cooked with some spices that make them very delicious. As I mentioned they also have sauces to dip the chicken into. They have three different kinds. A mild yellow one (which is bland), a hot red one (has good heat but low on flavor) , and my favorite the middle green one (this one has the right amount of heat as well as a great blend of flavors!!)
