Nicely decorated restaurant and very spacious. Food was good but nowhere near great. Service was extremely slow and it seemed that our server had better things to do then take care of her customers.

My running group from Austin went to the Strap Tank Brewery after running the St.George marathon and half marathon. One of our members had done a lot of research and found this to be the best place for a post-race celebration. There was a large room upstairs, with no charge for renting it, and a good menu of food and drinks. It was perfect! I ordered the burger and fries. They were both so good for refueling after the race! The burger was cooked medium rare as I had ordered, and the fries were seasoned perfectly and a bit crunchy. We had the place for 3 hours, and there was plenty of room for our 50 members to socialize, share race stories, and show off our medals. The restaurant is decorated with motorcycle memorabilia.

First time coming here ! This was a recommendation & so glad we stopped here. Staff super friendly, beer was good and the southwest salad and queso and chips were delicious!

We come in a couple times a month, I don't know if this place is undiscovered or a hidden gem... but fail to understand the lack of customers here. The dining space, upper & lower bars, great service, DJ...that's not even to mention the great menu. We love to travel & really appreciate local spaces & flavors, this place is IN YOUR BACK YARD. What are we missing! Love to dance? They've got it. Enjoy good food & creative flavors? Got it. Friendly faces & customer service? Got it. Seriously? If you're in the area or visiting... GO! We just had the ENTIRE place to ourselves! The two of us. It's shameful. Get out! ENJOY!

    Artichoke dip appetizer

Everything we tried was a hit! We ordered the artichoke dip appetizer and was one of the standouts--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, especially paired with the warm, toasted pita. The salsa on top was a good addition. The fish & chips came out perfectly golden and crispy, with hearty fries and plenty of sauces to mix and match. The Southwest chicken salad was another pleasant surprise. The chicken had a really flavorful, well-seasoned marinade that made the whole dish feel fresh and satisfying. Generous croutons and a tangy dressing tied it all together. I also tried the spicy margarita, which was good and had a nice kick, though it could've used a bit more bold flavor to really make it pop. Overall, a delicious meal with a great variety of flavors, & reasonably priced. Definitely worth coming back for.

It was so good!!! This is all that was left!

Pulled pork sandwich and mashed potatoes

The atmosphere is nice and clean. Our server was nice, I didn't get her name. When we first arrived nobody was at the station to seat us so it took awhile for someone to help us get seated. The food was good, the french fries were the best thing we had. The mashed potatoes were lacking flavor, they were ok. The pulled pork sandwich was good, the bottom bun was a bit soggy. My husband liked his hot chicken sandwich. The coconut shrimp tasted a little burnt, but was pretty good overall, the dipping sauce was really delicious. We didn't order any beer this time, but we will go back.

This place was great! I loved how they offered a lettuce wrap option for their burgers. I got the sweet potato fries and they were cooked to perfection. The service was great as well very fast and quick. The appearance of the place to is super cool to look at. Overall a great eat and would recommend.

I really want to love this place so I hope things change. I was waiting for Strap Tank to open ever since I found out about it being built. Im all for breweries with food especially here where there are so few. We went opening week but I knew I would wait until my second visit to write a review to be fair. That first week was wild. The waits were an hour or more during dinner and they wouldnt take reservations. Our service was good. Food coming out was slow. Beer was ok. I had the seasonal sour which had edible glitter in it for some reason. Burger is a solid choice here. I didnt care for the meatballs and cheese was sliding down on kids pizza. 2nd visit....no wait inside but we still had to wait for a hostess to come to the hostess booth. Once seated we waited for a server. We continued to wait... we saw the table that was seated after us and another table right before us all get greeted and waited on. We were all seated in the same area yet still no one to even acknowledge us. We waited a bit longer as servers passed us by and then decided to leave. I saw the reviews before my second visit and hoped our experience would be different. Pretty bummed. Im willing to give it one more try. I just have to convince my husband.

45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. Parthee, thank you for your compassion and for helping create a beautiful moment for our family during a difficult season of life. We are so grateful, and we will never forget it.

We had a 730 res, showed up 10 mins early because parking was easy and told to wait eventhough we saw 6 open tables. Once seated they had a large very drunk unruly group of guys center room screaming and carrying on. Not a giant deal until I saw they same guys being rude to other patrons and literally grabbing our server. We couldn't hear the menu explanations due to the volume of that table. Drinks. The wine was fine for my wife. I am a whiskey and scotch guy Ordered a macallan 12 - didnt have it Ordered a EH taylor -didn't have it. Ordered a Bookers Bourbon- had it however the world's largest ice block (literally sticking out of the glass) which diluted the 1 Oz $30 pour. Bartenders inexperience truly showed here. The food. For the love of God, discover salt. We ordered 4 things. Elote Scallops Crab Mac Ny strip (medium rare) Best dish by far was the elote. The scallops still tasted like the sea and were extremely gritty. The steak...... medium and on the way to well. Not seasoned. The sauces were a horseradish and a chimichuri. Neither of which saved that steak. We literally sent the crab Mac back to the kitchen. Inedible. Tasted like tuna mac that had been left in the oven too long. Our server took care of all of our concerns and saved the evening, even gave us a few sea salt chocolatechip cookies (the cookies get salt but the $60 steak doesnt?) ......until the food poisoning kicked in. So thanks for the cheap wesightloss I guess? Gave it a try, and we would never recommend it to anyone we respect or call friend

Solid Seed Oil-Free Spot in St. George…read more Cute spot off Mall Drive with a huge, somewhat convoluted menu full of plates, bowls, salads, and sandwiches. We went for lunch and it hit the spot for clean eating. I originally tried ordering the Donny Bowl but the cashier said it was unavailable, so I switched to the Power Pasture Bowl (tri tip and eggs). My buddy got the Mediterranean plate. We both selected the cheese bread. No drinks -- they have a water dispenser in the dining room. The dining room was about 25% full. Service is order-at-counter, then they bring the food and bus tables, but a few corner tables were still sitting with dirty plates from the lunch rush. The Power Pasture Bowl came out with beautiful presentation, but I found myself wondering, "What the hell do I do with this?" So I dumped the side dressing over everything and mixed it up -- turned into a delicious medley of flavors and textures. Only issue: it was missing the eggs. I went back to the counter and they quickly brought out a hard-boiled egg sliced in half. (See before/after photos.) Once assembled, it was really good. It's built like a healthier Chipotle (which, btw, loads up on seed oils), but don't expect a hot chef-crafted dish -- more fresh, layered ingredients with turmeric rice, etc. The cheese bread was a highlight -- chewy (tastes like rice flour for the gluten-free vibe) but way better than the dry-looking pita our neighbor had. Highly recommend the cheese bread. My friend loved his Mediterranean plate -- the baked falafel was delicious, everything fresh, generous portions, and nice presentation. Total for two: $35.45 (no drinks). Totally worth it if you're avoiding seed oils and inflammation. Fresh Mediterranean-leaning fare with a Whole Foods vibe. Great for bowls and plates. If you're craving something hotter, I've heard good things about Outback Steakhouse, Street Eats, and Buffalo Wild Wings -- they use beef tallow. Aubergine Kitchen has a sign saying to let them know about allergies, but missing the eggs on my bowl makes me wonder how on top of that they are. Still, overall a win for clean eating. Would recommend and go back. See attached photos (before/after bowl, cheese bread, etc.)
