Our main dishes took over 30 minutes to arrive, and it felt like they only came out because we actively hunted down staff to ask. On top of that, our Caesar salad was missing. After waiting another 15 minutes for the salad, we finally caught a server and explicitly asked to cancel it. 10 minutes after canceling, the server brought the salad out anyway, saying it was on the house. By that point, we were already finished with our meal and turned it away. Kitchens get busy, and guests understand that. But setting expectations upfront ("Hey folks, the kitchen is backed up about 30 minutes today") or proactively offering a small courtesy early on would have changed everything. Leaving guests in the dark, ignoring a cancellation, and then offering an unwanted item at the very end isn't good service. I'm normally a generous tipper, and frankly, a tip wasn't deserved here at all. I left $2.00 strictly out of habit, but the front-of-house service severely let down what was otherwise a great meal from the kitchen.

When I made our reservation, I asked where the best seating was for a romantic evening? I was told the patio was very nice and it was shaded. The patio was 3-umbrella-tables with cast iron chairs with weird fabric chair covers with no padding, crammed between two buildings. It reminded me if an office break area. We could have moved inside but it was so smokey from table-side hot rock steak searing that we could barely breathe. Staff attempted to clear smoke with a portable fan and an open door. Did I say attempted? Attempted and failed. Our server was very nice but in the middle of taking our order she excused herself and dashed off! When she returned several minutes later she explained she was the only bartender and another server was frantic they forgot to submit a drink order. Oh my! Quick note servers, don't abandon your guests to address the mistake of another server. She recommended the Chef's plate - pork chop in a mushroom gravy with Italian Parmesan rice. We chose that and a ribeye steak opting for the kitchen to cook the steak - if I wanted to cook, I wouldn't be at a restaurant and if they screw up the cook, I can send it back. We were also told we would be receiving free cheesecake for our anniversary. The pork, which we imagined to be a thick juicy chop turned out to be two cutlets about 3/8" inch thick, dry and very salty. I tasted a blob of something under carrots - it was a horrid, salty, grainy mash of something I could not identify. Our server said it was the rice. Yuck! My steak was flavorful but quite tough with a lot of tendon - it was hard to cut with a steak knife. The carrots were mush and the rosemary mashed potatoes were missing the rosemary and were dry. On top of bad proteins and sides being inedible, every dressing and sauce tasted canned or bottled. The best thing were the dinner rolls. We had a few bites and decided to leave. But our server had completely vanished, I'm sure doing her primary job as the only bartender. We finally flagged down another server to ask for the check - it was another 15 minutes before she finally delivered it. $100 for that mess. Our server offered to put the cheesecake in a to-go box and we made our way out through plumes of smoke. When we got home, we discovered the cheesecake was one tiny smidgeon of a slice, which was OK cuz it was consistently terrible. It's a pass on the Anasazi for us.
