Our server Quan provided exceptional service. His attentiveness and kindness stood out. We were seated promptly on a Monday at 10:30 and it was pretty busy. I ordered the Joe's Veggie Omelette with hashbrowns and toast, all of which were delicious. My husband tried the chicken fried steak, which he found to be just okay. We went to Bishops for a late lunch on Saturday. The food was so so but the service was really lacking. We had to keep asking our server for things that were supposed to have come with our lunch. Thousand Island dressing with my Rueben. We had to ask twice for cream for our coffee. I got a salad instead of fries but my plate was covered with fries anyway. I asked for balsamic dressing and she brought oil and vinegar. I guess technically it was balsamic vinegar but who uses that anymore. ick. We went to the "West" location. Plenty of parking and the line moves quickly. The server was fast and kind. We had the parfait and a scone. The parfait was delicious. I cut the strawberries into smaller pieces so I could easily eat them. The scone was HOT and delicious. The "honey butter" was . Maybe if I was expecting just butter it would have been ok, but I dipped my scone in it and took a bite - no idea what it was but it definitely did not taste like honey anything. OMG I already have a favorite goto breakfast place in Las Vegas it's called Rise and Shine. Now when we visit St. George. Our go to is right here Bishop's! I don't know how to explain this. This review will sound like the playoff playing head-to-head with favorite versus favorite. Rise and Shine vs Bishop's Rise and shine } closes at 2:00pm everyday Bishop's } close at 3:00 p.m. except Thursday Friday Saturday open till night time. Rise and shine } when I get the bill it's around almost 60 Bishop's } today's bill was $40 and some change Rise and shine } I love the staff there all nice people. Bishop's } high energy awesome people, Okay here's where this may sound funny. But I'm trying to be serious. We're waiting in the seating area.I was watching people leave and after they eat. It's like they're running a cowboy or mob operation lol they don't mess around in there. I saw the staff clean like it's no tomorrow. The tables, the chairs,the carpet was like spotless like if anybody drop a napkin the napkin is the enemy lmao!! It was a very cool experience here I was so full I couldn't make it to my French toast lol When they're bringing food out to the customer I saw a couple signatures that was very appealing. My wife and I went here for a late lunch early dinner aka "lupper" I was in this weird mood and I wanted breakfast, I ordered a short stack with an egg over medium. The pancake covered the entire plate. I smothered it in boysenberry syrup and it was exactly what I wanted. I was very full and very happy. My wife ordered a smothered breakfast burrito. She enjoyed it very much. I snuck a couple of bites and it also was very good. I especially enjoyed the sauce. We enjoy Bishops and love to go there. Can't be beaten for breakfast. read more

I don't have any idea how the food is here. We pulled in for breakfast in our camper towing a car behind. I parked in the back so I wouldn't take up spaces for other cars. We got out and started walking toward the restaurant and was informed by an employee that I was parked where the employees were supposed to park. There is no sign informing people of this. Short & sweet. Went to Bishop's on Sunset in St George. We had great food at fair prices. Wife had biscuits and gravy and I had a omelette and we both really enjoyed them. Our waiter, or had track marks one which was bleeding as he approached our table with hair all greasy. The food was overcooked. I hardly had barely one egg on my plate. We sat down and one waitress took our drink order delivered our drinks. Then we waited over 10 minutes finally anther waitress came to take our order. The waitress delivered our food. My wife had chicken fried steak and I had tilapia. The chicken fried steak had absolutely zero taste her mash potatoes were cold , tilapia was not a whole piece , a very small serving. I ask my wife if I could taste her chicken fried steak, it was mushy and zero taste. We both had vegetables which was way over cooked with hardly any taste. We finished and had to wait over 15 minutes to get our check. The waitress never returned to our table once to see if we need refills our ask if we enjoyed our meal. Upon paying for our check, I told the waitress that the food and service was overall terrible. In our haste I left my phone behind so I had to return to the restaurant, they retuned my phone to me, I ask the lady that retuned if she was the manager, she replied yes, I told of our experience and ask if we had reported it to anyone. I said that nobody retuned to our table to ask. The waitress that waited on our table was standing there and she said that she had come to our table several times, which was not the truth. The manager said that the next time be sure to tell someone, I just said we will not return. read more

This is a solid breakfast spot. There is a place back home that this reminds me of. Simple diner food. If I had one concern it is what they put on the toast. It was extremely yellow which leads me to believe its margarine, I could be wrong. If its butter its a lot of butter, and its not their fault. I had a weird circumstance where I had to run out while the food was delivered. If I were there I would have been able to remove the butter before it melted. After leaving from our quick weekend trip to Zion, my friends and I wanted to stop for breakfast. Our first option wasn't open on Sundays, but thankfully Bishops Grill was. The wait wasn't too bad, maybe 10-15 mins for our group of 3. The inside feels so homey which I loved. It's 100% that family owned diner vibe. The menu was pretty big and featured the usual staples. I decided to go with one of the biscuit & gravy combos. I loved the flavor of the gravy and the portion size was very generous. The only thing I wish was that the gravy was a bit more spicy or featured some sausage as well. Overall it was a delicious breakfast with very friendly service. I have been coming to Bishops for years now. Today was a big disappointment. I waited for over 15 minutes to get someone to take my name for a seat. Finally; I gave up and selected one myself for the two of us. The aged thin bus boy was cleaning the table and promptly let me know that it wasn't ready for me. He also advised that I get on the waiting list. The maitre d did show up at the podium and offered a slot for me. I declined. This place was not that busy today and usually I just go directly to a booth. I understand taking names for groups; especially during busy time. We shared the Dave's big breakfast and it was too much food for the two of us. The best of it - pancakes. They were light and fluffy. Delicious The good- scrambled eggs were cooked well, the bacon was delicious, the sausage patty was tasty, the hash browns were nice and crispy. The skip- the ham steak was just okay, the biscuit and country gravy did not hit the spot. It was cool and on the dry side the gravy was very thick, but did have a nice pepper kick. The sweet roll is HUGE. It lives up to the name and is super sweet. We did this as a take out and by the time we got to eat a bite, the outside was a little stale but the inside was still good. For our Golden wedding anniversary celebration, we call for a reservation and were told no wine was allowed , but we went ahead and confirmed because we were told that their Prime Rib is great!
