Service was not good. We had three another tables around us that got more attention from our server than we got. I understand being in the "weeds" which she was not. Age was not a factor even though she was not old enough to serve us the beers. Simply ignoring us. My sister in law ordered the garlic fries with her burger. Which she never got. Today, we had the rosemary garlic french fries, wings, chicken fingers, and the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was yummy. The amazing original sauce taste like a sweet and sour sauce. The classic Buffalo sauce was between a mild and a medium. Sid, our server, was wonderful. She highlighted and recommended the Rosemary garlic french fries which did not fail to meet expectations. Traveling thru St George and stopped here for dinner. It was hard to choose what to try because there are so so many options (almost a bit too overwhelming). We ended up ordering the shareable loaded bacon cheese fries (can't remember the official name of this plate) and burgers all around. The garlic fries were soggy and greasy as well. The blackened chicken alfredo lacked flavor & were dry as hell. The alfredo sauce itself was not smooth, more chunky like it had been microwaved. I ordered the Fish & Chips. When it came I was surprised to see long rounded pieces. Came with Fries and Tarter sauce. My wife had the Wing dinner. She had it with Cajun rub & Straw Stick Onions. Wingers has upped their game! Nice dining room, excellent food options, great customer service. Nothing that necessarily "knocks your socks off holy crap I'm going to be dreaming about this meal until I die" but still delicious nonetheless. I had the sticky finger tacos, which had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. Complete with some cabbage and guacamole, it had some yummy flavors the complimented each other well. The chips and salsa that came with it was fairly mediocre, wasn't a huge fan of the salsa BUT lucky the tacos made up for it and I left fat and happy. I had a bite of the buffalo wings and burger, both of which had great flavor as well. They changed their fries too--which was a good move on their part. All in all, great. Our waiter took wonderful care of us, the place is clean and bright, and it's nice to get out of the St. George heat and feel comfortable and taken care of. Bravo Wingers, you'll be seeing me again. So we were really hungry, it was a 25 min wait and people were leaving out with bags so it must be popular. I'm sure that if you never knew the original menu of Wingers when they were new, you might really like the food here. It used to be a favorite of mine many years ago. I don't know what they're trying to be now. Sometimes in cuisine, "fusion" just becomes confusion. I ordered the Loaded Bird*, hoping it was like one of my old favorites. The sauce wasn't anything like what I remembered: a dark and savory, lightly sweet barbecue sauce that was addictive. It wasn't much like it's predecessor. The sauce on this was a pale orangey gravy that tasted like it contained Liquid Smoke, which makes me feel a bit ill. There were two chicken breast fillets -- too much meat for one person, I think. The mashed potatoes were really good, though. The vegetables -- carrot slices, broccoli, celery and edamame-- were more fitting for an Asian stir fry. They just didn't go together. Before going in I had really been wanting a salad, but almost all of their salads have fruit and or candied nuts in them. Yuck. Salad and dessert shouldn't be mixed IMO. I know a lot of people who like that, but not me. Our server refused to give me the Chicken Finger salad with the Naked Chicken Wings, "Because of the bones." I didn't see the problem and told her so. I am perfectly capable of picking up chicken wings with my hands, even when they're sitting on a salad. But she said, "We just can't. Does that make sense?" No, I said, and ordered the entree I now regret. I miss being able to get just an appetizer of their classic wings with raw celery and ranch dressing, like I used to. They have 3 kinds of wings, one is battered and fried, another is breaded and fried, and the Naked Wings have no batter or breading. Winger's food is pretty decent but we've had a lot of bad customer service experiences at their restaurants. This one wasn't as bad as a few of the others. We didn't have to wait an hour for our food like we've had to a few times but once the food arrived, our servers dropped off the face of the earth. I also asked the hostess where I could get a booster seat and instead of helping me, she told me to ask my server, and we had to wait 5 or more mins for her to come around to our table to ask. Horrible service. My friends called earlier in the day and made a reservations for dinner later that evening. The employees looked at us with blank stares and basically told us we're crazy because they don't take reservations. When we showed up at our reserved time, they told us that they don't take reservations and they couldn't help us. When we pressed and asked more questions as to why our reservation was not held, Alexis kept repeating "I'm sorry, we don't take reservations, can't help you, etc" while my husband was continuing to ask questions and asking why their employees didn't all have the same training on their reservation policy, Alexis turned around and stormed off to the back, ignoring us. She was swearing to the other employees in the kitchen and blatantly complaining about us while we were still standing here. Seriously the worst service I have experienced in a long time. Upon entering Winger's just after noon, my party of four was given a hale and hearty greeting by the staff. The ambiance of the place is 50s diner style, and very good, complimentary buttered popcorn was immediately served after all guests were seated. I was happy to learn that Vanilla Coke is served here, so I took advantage of that circumstance, and enjoyed a refreshing vanilla-spiked Coca-Cola. Potato skins with both white and yellow cheese and of course bacon were very cheesy. Served with Ranch Dressing and individual chives or sour cream mixed with chives, the skins were very tasty but for some palates included too much potato. An All American Burger--containing a single hamburger patty, and lettuce, tomato, and onion with a light sheen of mayonnaise on a sesame seed bun--was cooked medium to medium well after a request to make it medium rare was politely declined. The burger was good but the too dry bun quickly fell apart, and a bottle of Heinz Tomato Ketchup had to be obtained from a different table since the one at ours was just sputtering. Thick battered onion rings were crunchy and excellent, but fries were too soft on the inside. And, for a short while, a buzzing fly hovering at my table bedeviled me while I tried to eat. So, there were pluses and minuses, with the pluses exceeding the minuses. Thus, I would dine here again, but not go out of my way to do so. read more
