Such a lovely evening, I walked to stage coach under a beautiful desert sunset and had a delicious meal. The salmon was flakey, with a little crunch on the exterior and incredible flavor. I chatted with the staff about our concerns for the world but more so the hope we still share for our future. The world is heavy right now, good company and good food make it better though. Not to mention a Moscow Mule: their ginger beer was so smooth with just the right amount of snap to it, and I swear it almost had some kind of sage ending to it. Divine. Extremely Disappointing and Heartless Business Conduct - Avoid This Place My father, Jimmie Stover, passed away just two days ago. He had been promised a 5% ownership share in Stage Coach Grill in Utah, and we traveled to meet with the owners to discuss next steps and how to honor his involvement. What we experienced was shocking and deeply hurtful. The owners completely ignored us as grieving family members. Instead, they immediately turned their attention to addressing the staff about operational needs and how to keep the business running. The owner openly expressed how "sad" he was--not for our loss--but because he was now going to be "hurting" financially without my dad's contributions. At no point did anyone offer condolences, acknowledge my father's passing, or speak a single word about honoring his legacy or the promises made to him. The entire meeting was focused solely on the owner's self-interest and the business. It felt cold, selfish, and completely devoid of basic human decency. We left feeling disrespected, dismissed, and devastated. If this is how they treat the family of someone who was supposed to be a part-owner, I can only imagine how they treat regular customers and employees. I would strongly urge anyone considering dining here or doing business with Stage Coach Grill to take their money elsewhere. This experience revealed a complete lack of compassion and integrity. My family is heartbroken, and this only made everything so much worse. Based solely on personal review, my husband chose to go to Stage Coach Grille. We arrived to a fairly empty restaurant and we thought we were going to have wonderful service. We were seated quickly in the corner of the first seating area. It took our waitress, Alisha, nearly 15 minutes to come take our drink order. She must've been busy with other tables or closing duties because we didn't experience fast service and we even Had to repeat my husband's beer order 3 times as she came back to table without it twice. Once ordered, our meals were made fairly quickly. I ordered the 8oz salmon and by husband ordered the cowboy ribeye. The main courses were cooked to order but my husbands baked potato was only hot on the bottom. All the toppings were ice cold. He had to send it back but then couldn't finish it, lol. Our food was very good once we received it. The service was good, but a bit slow. We ended up being the last customers in the restaurant, as well. Love love love! We stopped in for dinner here on our way to Kanab. When we walked it it was Déjà vu. My husband and had been here 6 years prior almost to the day. We didn't even realize it until we walked through the saloon doors. We love the welcoming staff and the food is soo good!! I had the filet and crab cake. It's obvious that this is the community hangout-lots of folks here on a Friday night enjoying a nice dinner. Even though there were lots of people there, we were seated right away. The menu has plenty of options, including burgers, steaks and even some seafood dishes. I opted for the clam chowder and a dinner salad while my dinner partner enjoyed the pork chop. The clam chowder was just ok-nothing to write home about. But the bite I had of pork chop from across the table was pretty good. Seems right-this is more of a meat and potatoes place. The service was a little off-putting. When we arrived, there were three girls gathered around the host table chatting. They weren't too eager to pause their conversation to greet us. throughout the night, we observed them behaving silly-much like I'd expect to see at the high school cafeteria. And our server did his job, but couldn't be bothered with friendly chit chat or a smile. I get the sense that tourists might be more of a burden than a support and if we were locals we might have been treated differently. My family and I came in from AZ we are staying locally and I am so happy we came across this place. Not only is this place clean, welcoming and the decor is stunning! There are horses right outside and places for to sit and enjoy the ambiance. I had the French onion soup it was great! We also had the kids spaghetti, French Dip, onion rings and a burger! All the food was great and my family enjoyed it all! Now the SERVICE!! TALON IS THE BEST! He was attentive, put in our order perfectly and got my daughter spaghetti in the fly! I ordered sunny side up eggs, and the egg whites were raw -- clear and gelatinous rather than opaque and fully cooked. When I brought this up, I was told that this is how sunny side up eggs are meant to be, which isn't true. While the yolk should be runny, the whites should always be fully cooked. I ended up sending the dish back. This felt more like a food safety issue than a matter of personal preference, and I hope it's addressed. I made reservations for a group of 8 on a Friday night. We were accommodated upon arrival. Plenty of parking, welcoming and cute outdoor seating while you wait. It was a busy and lively night. But nonetheless we were seated within 15 mins of arrival. I ordered the ahi sashimi tuna plate, it came with sautéed vegetables which were so good! I paired it with a glass of Merlot. What a great first meal in Utah. It is spring break so I get it's a long wait in a small town but they let you throw horse shoes while you wait.
