Such a lovely evening, I walked to stage coach under a beautiful desert sunset and had a delicious meal. The salmon was flakey, with a little crunch on the exterior and incredible flavor. I chatted with the staff about our concerns for the world but more so the hope we still share for our future. The world is heavy right now, good company and good food make it better though. Not to mention a Moscow Mule: their ginger beer was so smooth with just the right amount of snap to it, and I swear it almost had some kind of sage ending to it. Divine. Thank you all for the meal, so happy I wasn't too tired to make the trek. Legend has it that Zion is the Holy City... Perhaps these are the mountains Jesus will return to us in with the sound of horns to save us from this uncertain future. I'm willing to believe it. Keep the hope alive. read more

It's obvious that this is the community hangout-lots of folks here on a Friday night enjoying a nice dinner. Even though there were lots of people there, we were seated right away. The menu has plenty of options, including burgers, steaks and even some seafood dishes. I opted for the clam chowder and a dinner salad while my dinner partner enjoyed the pork chop. The clam chowder was just ok-nothing to write home about. But the bite I had of pork chop from across the table was pretty good. Seems right-this is more of a meat and potatoes place. The service was a little off-putting. When we arrived, there were three girls gathered around the host table chatting. They weren't too eager to pause their conversation to greet us. throughout the night, we observed them behaving silly-much like I'd expect to see at the high school cafeteria. And our server did his job, but couldn't be bothered with friendly chit chat or a smile. I get the sense that tourists might be more of a burden than a support and if we were locals we might have been treated differently. If you can fit in with the local crowd (i.e. denim jeans and boots) you might be just fine. And order the steak-it looks good. read more

Love love love! We stopped in for dinner here on our way to Kanab. When we walked it it was Déjà vu. My husband and had been here 6 years prior almost to the day. We didn't even realize it until we walked through the saloon doors. We love the welcoming staff and the food is soo good!! I had the filet and crab cake. We also had the ribs, chicken fried steak, the kids chicken fingers, Mac and cheese, Alfredo, and burger. Everything was soooo good! It was fresh hot! Our server was great too! Such a local gem! Meh. It wasn't that great. We stopped for lunch before heading to the national parks. My son had a bland grilled cheese, my daughter had some bland mac and cheese, and I split a french dip with my mom that was....wait for it...bland. I did like the french fries- they were homemade and traditional. I also liked the atmosphere, and the service was fine. But the food was meh. And the sodas were $4 a pop. These burgers were the only type of burger on the menu, which was surprising and a little bit disappointing. The burgers were OK. I usually don't leave reviews like this, but I felt it was important -- this is actually my first negative Yelp review. My breakfast was not edible. I ordered sunny side up eggs, and the egg whites were raw -- clear and gelatinous rather than opaque and fully cooked. When I brought this up, I was told that this is how sunny side up eggs are meant to be, which isn't true. While the yolk should be runny, the whites should always be fully cooked. I ended up sending the dish back. This felt more like a food safety issue than a matter of personal preference, and I hope it's addressed. I also asked for my steak to be medium and it came out well done. (Not that big of a deal, it happens). I was going to place a to go order but the server dropped off the check early. read more

What a great first meal in Utah. It is spring break so I get it's a long wait in a small town but they let you throw horse shoes while you wait. Back home this would never be allowed so it's nice to feel trusted. Place was busy but the staff was friendly and on it.
