    After dinner drinks menu

Holy smokes! Best meal of my life. This place is phenomenal. The views. The steak and sides. The cocktails. The STAFF! My sister and I were in town and treated ourselves... I can't even describe how perfect our dining experience was. The hostess was lovely and welcoming. Our red-headed server was fabulous, an absolute wealth of knowledge, she helped us curate the most incredible meal with cocktails and dessert. Her recommendations were spot on, we had an incredible evening. We shared a the funeral potatoes appetizer, wedge salad, ribeye, creamed corn, and pumpkin butter cake. Each dish was beyond amazing. And I live in Vegas - steakhouses are everywhere - and I've dined at the best of 'em. Basalt is next level. Be ready to be wowed. Trust your server.

Spoil yourself here! We did and don't regret it. We loved our dishes we chose both nights we dined here. I had the Butternut Squash Gnocchi and the Sea Bass the following night. My husband had the filet and ribeye. I didn't know seasonings could dance in your mouth so well! Let me tell you, get the Tallow Fries! Those were excellent! Our favorite server was Maxwell. He was attentive and so friendly and knew his stuff! Thanks so much!

Great experience! Everything about this place was 5 stars. We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess, and had a server that went above and beyond. The food was beautifully presented and extraordinarily delicious. No complaints here!

The food was amazing!! Such a great atmosphere and our waiter, Jonathan, was top excellent. He was so helpful and knew the menu so well! We will definitely be back! Get the creamed corn!! Best thing I've had in a while! And the crème brûlée! The bread was also delicious. Warm and the honey butter. Chefs kiss.

Cream corn with bacon was 5 stars - NY Strip was excellent

This is the new restaurant at the Black Diamond resort - first the bad - we waited until 8:00pm for our reservation at 7:30pm - their team made up for the wait by giving us appetizers on them - food was amazing and service was behind but made up for it as the evening went on - super memorable dinner for a hefty price

You can see how the bill should been split.

Warning--I Will Never Go Back. This is a difficult review for me. I almost never slam a restaurant with bad reviews, but this is one of those experiences. This is the second time coming here, first time was great, decor, professional service, and food and presentation were very good. I wrote a glowing review about it. Tonight we went there with 2 other couples, and dinner was similar in many respects. Each couple had different appetites and whether they drank alcohol or now. Our server was fantastic, she was attentive and elegantly described the menus and dishes. Our table was beautiful. We had a wide variety of drinks, wine and food, all I would rate 5 Stars as well, but when the bill came and they refused to split the bill other than evenly 3 ways. Even though I worked out how much to put on each of our cards, they refused because their policy was that they could only split the check evenly. One couple only had appetizers and split an entree and no alcohol. Their portion of the bill was only $154 while mine was $323. Forcing them to pay for my much more expensive dinner ruined the mood for all of us. I ended up paying the entire $725 bill because I did not want to put our friends out, BUT THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR GOOD, I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

We came to Basalt to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, and sadly, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. When our server greeted us, he asked if we were celebrating anything. After we said it was our anniversary, his response was, "I've already had seven anniversaries today," in a tone that made us feel like an afterthought rather than welcome guests. The service continued downhill from there. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to ask three separate times for it to be decanted. Our server later apologized for a "salad delay," even though we hadn't ordered salad. Fifteen minutes later, another server arrived with a salad for our table, only to shrug when we told him it wasn't ours. After some back and forth, it was finally clarified that we had ordered the crab cake. When it eventually arrived, it was heavily over-seasoned and overpowered the taste of crab--definitely not a dish I'd recommend. At this point in our experience we had been seated at our table for over an hour without food. The confusion didn't stop there. A manager came to our table to apologize for running out of a ribeye steak entrée and offered to upgrade us to a more expensive steak at the same price--except we hadn't ordered the ribeye steak. She left to figure things out but never followed up with us again. Our entrées finally arrived: my diver scallops were bland with undercooked Brussels sprouts, while my husband's Wagyu steak was just okay--nothing special for the price. The one highlight was the creamed corn, which was absolutely delicious. To end the meal, our server cleared our plates and simply brought us two desserts we hadn't ordered (a crème brûlée and lemon cake). We would have liked to see a menu and choose for ourselves, but I overheard they were out of several items. The desserts were fine, but nothing memorable. After 2.5 hours of mistakes, confusion, and underwhelming food, we left disappointed and honestly relieved to be done. At one point, while waiting for our appetizers, we debated just paying for the wine and leaving, and in hindsight, we wish we had. For what's billed as a fine dining experience, the service and food quality were far from it. We will not be returning and cannot recommend Basalt.

Hamachi ceviche. A bit heavy on the sauce but fish is fresh and delicious.

Way over priced. Food was so-so. They try too hard to be professional with their service, it's all slow lotion movements. I do not recommend

After finding Cliffside and being sold on the view we were not disappointed. We sat outside b/c although we got there at 5pm opening time, they only had space for us on in the Cliff! From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She didn't just provide excellent service--she made our night. Our family has been through a lot, including the heartbreaking loss of my sister. Father's Day hasn't always been easy for my sweet dad since then. This evening gave us something precious: a new happy memory together. Parthee, thank you for your compassion and for helping create a beautiful moment for our family during a difficult season of life. We are so grateful, and we will never forget it.

We placed our appetizer and drink orders and later dinner. We simply ordered the trout, crab Mac and cheese and I ordered the duck. The Water Mellon Pork belly came out first. The pork belly was tough and hard not like times past. We really needed a steak knife and 1/2 of the 2 portions we ordered was not edible. The trout and crab mac came out and I waited and waited not 10 min but nearly 30 minutes for the duck. I spoke to our waitress and I think the manager and they kept saying it takes more time to prepare. At about 25 minutes I canceled my duck as my wife and friend were done with their meal. I was given just excuses and no explanation. I suggested that since they KNOW the duck takes longer to prepare they should have started that first. I was told by the two I spoke too that they put in the order and it's started in that order so my duck was last. So the so called Chef's who should know the duck takes longer blew it along with the wait staff. In every restaurant setting I've been in, the chef would to start what takes longer first so the table of two or more would be served at the SAME time. But not here at Wood Ash Rye. As mentioned this was one of at least four other times here. But in our years absence, the familiar faces were gone, the so called Chefs looked like line cooks and the wait staff was clueless on how to make things right. Sad....we won't be back.
