A high end restaurant serves a maraschino cherry in their old fashioned cocktail. Unbelievable. Can they not afford luxardo cherries?

We celebrated our 4 year anniversary here and it was so nice! The decor and ambience is so cozy and elegant. We had the best waiter. He was so fun and social and very attentive. The food was very delicious and so worthwhile. We like having a few fine dining places where we can go for nice food. We know it'll be more expensive when we go there but we want that sometimes for a finer experience and this place was that for us. We still felt satisfied with the portion sizes and quality for the price. They have seasonal menus so the other thing is you won't get bored with the options since they change. We will be coming back.

We had such a beautiful dining experience at Painted Pony. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance completely pulled us in--it felt like stepping into a refined, old-world English pub with an upscale twist. Warm, intimate, and absolutely charming. We started with the mussels, which were incredible--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. For our mains, we had the mushroom tagliatelle with jumbo prawns and the crab cakes, and both were outstanding. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and well-balanced. The service really tied everything together. Our waiter, Will, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Overall, such a memorable experience. Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and top-tier service. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

While visiting Utah, I stopped by this place for lunch. I ordered the crab cakes and a Beet Salad with Salmon. The crab cakes were moist, seasoned perfectly, flavorful and packed with real crab. The salad came with two thick slices of beets and a large portion of goat cheese. Without question, the crab cakes were some of the best I've had. Both dishes were amazing as was the plate's presentation. The restaurant is beautifully designed and the decor goes well with its overall vibe. Kudos, to my server Dominic. He had a great personality and was very honest when asked about his recommendations. He definitely understands and values the importance of providing good customer service.

We stopped at Painted Pony during a road trip through St. George and were so glad we did. It's a beautiful, classy restaurant without feeling over the top. I had the beet salad and pumpkin purée soup, both were fresh and full of flavor. My cousins loved their French onion soups. The service was superb, attentive and kind. Such a great spot if you're passing through and want something a little elevated.

The ambiance is on point -- classy and high-end. Started with an Aperol Spritz -- a bit bitter at first, so give it a stir, then it's perfect. The beet salad was phenomenal -- the goat cheese between the beets and the sauce were unreal. Easily a must-try. They served fresh bread that paired perfectly with the salad. The grilled tenderloin steak looked amazing and tasted even better. The seasoning and butter were to die for, and it melted in my mouth. The asparagus and mashed potatoes tied it all together -- smaller portions but just right. Paired it with an Obsidian Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley -- divine with the steak. Overall, an elevated dining experience I'd absolutely recommend.

I'm actually flabbergasted. I ordered the ribeye with a char and it is unbelievably good. I came from Vegas for a solo trip for some R&R and I eat at strip restaurants often! This is hands down worth the trip alone! Will was my server and he knew the menu like he was announcing the dishes as the Chef! Service was beyond exceptional.

We had an incredible lunch at Painted Pony! Kaylee was absolutely fantastic, attentive, personable, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. She was energetic and you can tell she loves what she does which is rare. Every recommendation she gave was spot on, and it made the entire experience even better. The food was outstanding, but Kaylee's service truly set this visit apart. Painted Pony has officially become our new go to lunch spot, and we'll definitely be requesting Kaylee every time we make a reservation. Side note, I've always thought this to be a dinner spot - don't miss out on a great lunch too. Highly recommend!

Lovely meal at the Painted Pony. Sweet and caring serving staff. We asked about the coffee and she had never had coffee but told us about it. Food was great. View was charming. We were passing through but would 100% recommend it.

My son and I were visiting town and wanted an upscale dinner out. The Painted Pony came highly recommended and has been a staple in town for decades, so I figured we should give it a try. We had a reservation for a patio table, and when we arrived they let us know that they'd booked an additional table indoors for us so we could choose which one we wanted (the weather had turned bad and they wanted to make sure we were comfortable.) I appreciated that extra effort to look out for us and we opted to sit indoors. That turned out to be a wise decision, since we watched the storm roll in from the window. The service was fantastic and I was especially pleased with the accommodations they made for my dietary restrictions. (The chef must really like cheese since just about every dish had some sort of cheese ingredient in it.) The main dishes were ok. My son had a steak which he enjoyed. I had the Braised Lamb Shank which I found to be a bit overwhelming. While it was cooked well, the sauce was so strong in flavor that I could only have a few bites. Perhaps I'm one of the unusual guests that enjoys flavor but prefers it not to punch me in the tongue. Not a big deal, I'll order something different in the future.

We always enjoy our meals and service here, the menus are well thought out, dishes played well and the servers always willing to answer questions about food intolerance needs. The ambience inside and outside is simply beautiful. We always find this restaurant to be a relaxing and peaceful place to dine. There are a few gluten free and dairy free options, I recommend reviewing the online seasonal menu in advance or calling ahead. The food is always incredible (except maybe the gf bread given with the oil and vinegar, that is the only thing that needs some work). The mocktails and drinks are incredible too!

Great place to fresh seasonal food in an incredible atmosphere. Went for lunch waiter was super fun and very knowledgeable/professional. There is something on the menu for everyone here and I'll be back!

From the moment we arrived, every dish was exceptional. The salad was fresh and beautifully prepared, the pork belly was absolutely outstanding, and the steak was cooked to perfection with the most incredible seasoning. Every bite was memorable. The biscuit was unreal--warm, comforting, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. What touched me most was the homemade ice cream. One spoonful instantly brought me back to childhood memories of my dad making homemade ice cream for us when we were kids. It was such a special and unexpected gift to relive those moments. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our server, Parthee. She was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made us feel so welcomed and cared for. 45+ Minutes in 100° Heat, Passed Over Repeatedly, Then Offered a High-Top for a Toddler…read more Our experience at George's today was so bizarre, frustrating, and poorly handled that I am still trying to understand how a restaurant could treat a family this way. We arrived as a family of three--two adults and our toddler--and were told the wait would be approximately 15-20 minutes. We were added to the waitlist and waited outside in nearly 100-degree heat. While we waited, several parties arrived AFTER us. We know this with certainty because we watched them walk in, add their names to the list, come back outside, and even chatted with some of them while we all waited. Then, one by one, those parties were called inside and seated before us. After the last of them was seated, I finally went inside and asked the front-of-house employee in the pink shirt whether we were even still on the list. She assured me we were and said we were "next." We then waited approximately another 10 minutes. By the time someone finally came for us, our supposed 15-20 minute wait had become 45-46 minutes. And somehow, that wasn't even the most baffling part. We were walked through the restaurant, past multiple empty, standard-height tables, and taken down toward the bar. We passed yet another regular four-seat table there. And then we were offered a high-top table. For two adults and a TODDLER. Our toddler had physically walked into the restaurant with us when we originally put our names on the list. There was never any ambiguity that we had a small child with us. No booster or appropriate toddler seating was offered at this high-top, either. We obviously declined. Expecting a toddler to safely sit at a high-top is not merely impractical--it creates a completely unnecessary fall and safety risk. We were then informed that if we wanted a normal table, we would need to wait another 10-15 minutes. At that point, I was genuinely stunned. We had already waited more than twice the time we were quoted. We had watched parties who arrived after us get seated ahead of us. None of those parties, to our knowledge, were forced to choose between an inappropriate high-top and an additional wait. And we could literally see empty standard tables. When we specifically asked about the empty four-person table near the bar, we were told we couldn't sit there because that server was having a very busy day and it would be another 15-20 minutes before she could take us. So let me understand this: your restaurant allowed a family with a toddler to wait outside in extreme heat for more than 45 minutes, repeatedly seated later-arriving parties ahead of them, finally brought them inside only to offer seating obviously unsuitable for a small child, and then--while empty standard tables were plainly visible--essentially told them to go wait some more? At what point does someone on staff recognize that something has gone badly wrong and attempt to fix it? There was no meaningful apology. No sense of urgency. No empathy. No attempt to problem-solve. No acknowledgment that the original 15-20 minute estimate had turned into 45+ minutes while other guests were seated ahead of us. What makes this experience even more uncomfortable is that we are a mixed-race couple. I cannot say why we were treated differently, and I am not going to make an accusation I cannot prove. But after watching multiple parties who arrived after us be seated before us, only to then be offered uniquely inappropriate seating for our family, I am left questioning why our family was treated differently. Was there some legitimate explanation that was never communicated to us? Was this simply extraordinary incompetence and poor management of the waitlist? Or was there another reason? I genuinely don't know. But the fact that your staff's handling of the situation left us even having to ask that question should concern management. We were patient. We were polite. We waited far longer than we were told we would. We stood outside with our toddler in nearly 100-degree weather and gave your staff every opportunity to make the situation right. Instead, we were met with indifference and a level of front-of-house incompetence that was astonishing. Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. Wait estimates can be wrong. None of that explains why multiple parties arriving after us were seated first, why no one noticed or corrected it, why a family visibly accompanied by a toddler was offered a high-top, or why--after more than 45 minutes--no one seemed remotely interested in finding a reasonable solution. We ultimately didn't need special treatment. We expected competent treatment. We didn't receive it. Management should seriously review how the waitlist was handled today and speak with the front-of-house staff involved, because this was one of the most poorly managed and deeply uncomfortable restaurant experiences our family has had.

The view was great, but the food and service were lacking. I had been asked ahead of time about allergies and said I am gluten-free and can't tolerate alliums. Even though they confirmed this when talking on the phone, when I arrived these were not taken into consideration. They brought bread to the table, but not the gluten-free option I had been told about over the phone. I had to ask for it, and even then it was super garlicky, which did not make a great experience for the rest of the night for me. On the phone, they also asked if my husband liked anything in particular for dessert and I said yes, he is a huge fan of crème brûlée and the person on the phone said that's what they get too and it's amazing and that they would definitely bring him that special on the house. instead, they brought him an oversized shirt that we will need to go back to exchange. It was a nice gesture, but not what they had promised. The crabcake I got was delicious, but the roasted carrots side dish was not really roasted. They were so firm and crunchy it was as if I was eating completely raw carrots. My husband got the Chilean Seabass, which he said was fine but overcooked. Our friends got to the eggplant dish and ravioli. For the price to only get four little ravioli was ridiculous. Also, the eggplant was supposed to be al dente, but it was mush. The length of time it took between getting our water and the drinks and ordering food was quite ridiculous. The staff were kind but not attentive or very knowledgeable. In fact, we almost got served another table's food and when they brought our food to the table, they did not know which plate went to whom. This is not the type of service I expect from an establishment like this. It's a good thing our friends and I had a lot to chat about because we were there for 2 1/2 hours. I have been to several fine dining establishments where the service and food were much better so my expectations were higher. At least the view was nice.
