I love a good Japanese Steakhouse and Sakura was a great find while in St. George. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have some really nice private areas with good views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great and the food was even better. I really enjoyed the Miso soup and the Hibachi lobster. The only disappointment was their fried ice cream that they coated in breadcrumbs so the texture was really weird and the taste of the bread was off putting. Usually fried ice cream is coated in corn flakes so it was different and I didn't really enjoy it. However everything else was great and I plan to return

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful! The pink Japanese trees, the outside water feature, the floor to ceiling metal design of the door is all very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The refreshing foyer with water all around, light colors and spacious but laughter and chatter in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are two dining options: hibachi and traditional dining. We chose traditional. The bar for fresh sushi and the chemistry of the chefs brings additional enjoyment. The traditional attire was an added touch The sushi options left no one out. Whatever you could think or image was available as well as the appetizers. Yana serviced us with excellence and his robot assistant was cute.

A typical hibachi restaurant. Sakura is run like a military operation with an army of employees: servers, cleaners, hostesses, chefs, and even a robot. However, with so many employees, our time at Sakura felt incredibly rushed. From the fast live-cooking performance, to the waiter quickly bringing us the check and continuously glancing at our table to see if we were wrapping up--all of that rushed service was just for average food. The sashimi was thick; I've never seen sashimi so thick before. The fish didn't melt in your mouth, though it tasted good enough. Skip the potstickers, as they tasted like any frozen bag you could get at the grocery store. The steak and filet mignon tasted good but were drenched in soy sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The hibachi room was overly loud, making it hard to hear anyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would skip Sakura if you're looking for a more Japanese styled restaurant for sushi unless you're in for a hurried show.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Side note: While this didn't affect us, it was surprising to see the chef use the same tools to cook the raw meat, fish, and vegetables. This is a major health concern, especially since they didn't ask about any allergies or dietary restrictions at the beginning.

I've been to Sakura many times but this was my first time at their new location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's beautiful, they have the sushi separated from the hibachi which is kind of nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We loved every roll we ordered but the deep fried oysters? I've had better. It's a little spendy but the atmosphere and the food are top notch. Our bill came to $213 with tip. We ordered 4 rolls, 2 or 3 orders of potstickers, edamame, crab rangoons, fried oysters and 2 salads. That fed 6 adults and two children. Can't wait to go back and try the hibachi!

I've been going to Sakura for many years and they've been great! Whether I'm eating in or phone ordering it's a great and pleasant experience. They do get busy and the wait time can get pretty long but it's worth it and they have Plenty of parking as well

Oct 4, 2025. Early afternoon dinner. No waiting for a hibachi table. No reservations taken 3 adults and 2 young boys that have adventurous palates. My daughter ordered 2 sushi rolls. Dan and I had the hibachi filet mignon and the bits both ordered salmon hibachi. Our waitress was quick and efficient We all liked the onion soup but I would refer normal noodles not those hard wheat ones. Our chef had a good attitude did a good show. However the last squirt of soy sauce on the rice by daughter felt was too much and she was right best too much soy sauce flavor. Overpowering. More vegetables are needed. It's only mushroom, onion and zucchini. How about some peas, some broccoli. Or more. The fried rice also needs peas or more egg. It was just tiny bit of egg and no Veges. The filet mignon were perfect. The salmon was fresh and fantastic. No oily taste. Amber said her sushi rolls were ok. Not as good as what we get in California

Absolutely fantastic experience! The atmosphere and vibe here are beautiful, such a fun and lively spot for dinner. We went for hibachi, and everything from start to finish was spot on. We started with edamame, which came out hot, fresh, and delicious. I ordered a Blue Hawaiian, served in the cutest mermaid/fish-scale style glass, such a fun touch! For dinner, I had the filet and lobster with fried rice, while my husband had the filet with fried rice and noodles (yes, you pay extra for fried rice/noodles, but it's 100% worth it). We also got yum yum sauce (called shrimp sauce here), and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted so fresh. Our chef was personable, funny, and really made the dinner feel like an experience, not just a meal. Since we mentioned it was our anniversary trip, the staff surprised us with a chocolate-drizzled cheesecake platter, so thoughtful and a perfect sweet ending. Overall, Sakura was a fantastic stop: excellent food, fun atmosphere, great service, and not overpriced. We'll definitely come back when in St. George. Five stars all the way!

Service was good. Wait staff was friendly. We were seated with a couple around 830pm. Fried rice was ok. So then some concerns. The couple seated next to us had ordered salmon. The cook put the raw chicken, salmon, shrimp and steak right next to each other. The cook was using the same tools to turn over the raw meat and then would touch the vegetables right after. That's not good nor safe. The salmon got somehow fused with some shrimp and the smell of overcooked salmon permeated the air. Unfortunately the shrimp was not edible as the fishy salmon was stuck all over the shrimp. We didn't eat the shrimp a the head person there asked us if there was anything wrong and I said I just didn't like it. She did offer to remove it from our bill but we declined (we didn't ask for it to be removed). I appreciate the attempt though. Fee birthday desert was nice.

One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very modern, beautiful decorations, relaxing ambient music, everything you would expect from an upscale Japanese restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was very attentive, and when we said that we were in a bit of a rush and couldn't spend much time, the manager came over to us to let us know that they were putting a rush/priority in our food -- extremely considerate action that was totally not necessary but greatly appreciated! The sushi was phenomenal -- fresh fish, good flavoring, melt in your mouth. I really enjoyed the Las Vegas roll -- would seriously recommend.

I really enjoyed this place. It was our first time trying it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It had a very cool atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had one of those robots delivering food and to go boxes. The food was cooked to perfection. It was very flavorful. We enjoyed all of it. We will definitely be back.

Sakura Japanese is hands-down one of the best restaurants in town! The food is absolutely incredible -- everything from the sushi rolls to the hibachi is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can taste the care and pride that goes into every dish. It's rare to find a place where consistency, quality, and hospitality all shine at this level. But what truly sets Sakura apart is the owner. They care so deeply about their customers and their craft -- it shows in every single detail. The owner is one of the kindest, most genuine humans you'll ever meet. They remember faces, go out of their way to make guests feel special, and treat everyone like family. It's not just a meal here -- it's an experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Warm atmosphere, phenomenal service, and food that keeps you craving more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd give it ten stars if I could. If you haven't been to Sakura Japanese, you're missing one of the brightest spots in town! Favorite rolls to try. Zion. Mango tango calamari roll. & the Jackie

We were in the area for a wedding and decided to stop in for dinner. Even on a busy night the wait was fast and we were seated in less time than the hostess predicted. I can't say enough great things about our experience. The sashimi is some of the best I have ever had. Super fresh and huge pieces! You definitely get your moneys worth. The wide variety of rolls is impressive and the two we had were exceptional. The service was wonderful. From the hostess to our waiter we were completely taken care of. Everyone was extremely polite and accommodating. I will absolutely be coming back!

I ordered a to go meal while visiting St George and will definitely be back!! The portions are large and we enjoyed every bite! Food we ordered: - 2 piece shrimp sushi - 2 piece salmon sashimi - Philly roll - shrimp teriyaki with miso soup, salad, and steamed white rice. The food quality was fantastic and you could definitely tell that the fish was very fresh. Our only complaint was the packaging with the sauces was not very secure so when we brought the bag back, there was sauces leaking all over which was a bummer and difficult to clean up. They have plastic containers. I wish they would've used instead of Styrofoam to help fix this from happening again. The food was ready at the time. The staff was super friendly when we called to ask about gluten friendly options. All in all this place was fantastic and we will come back here next time we are in St. George.

Every topping on the Rich Rich ramen, the tender pork, the veggies, the egg, tasted fresh and perfectly balanced, and the noodles had that perfect chewy bite that makes you want to keep going even when you're full. The fried chicken on the Chicken Tatsuta was crispy and full of flavor that really complemented the broth. The beef fried rice had that deep, savory flavor you only get when it's cooked just right, every bite had a mix of beef, veggies, and egg that made it feel hearty and comforting. It wasn't greasy, just super flavorful and satisfying. The cream cheese wontons were crispy, golden, and filled with warm, creamy goodness. They were the perfect mix of crunchy and soft, and dipping them into the sweet sauce made them even better. Honestly, they were addictive. On top of all that, the ambience made the whole experience even better. The restaurant felt welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully put together. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I ordered the Garlic Chicken & broccoli. We shared an order of Rangoons. If I'm being perfectly honest the food was just ok IMO. I purposely ordered my dish with no sauce bc I don't care for my food to be swim in a sodium, sugar & oil mixture masking whatever flavor the protein & veggies present on their own. I actually WANT to taste them. I didn't expect my mind to be blown by my dish for that reason. I knew what I was getting & honestly my food was very good. The chicken breast was good quality, cooked nicely and cut into small bite sized pieces as was the broccoli. Just what I wanted. Now I DID want to splurge a bit which is why we got the fried stuff too. Now for the not so impressive part. The stuff that was supposed to blow my mind bc it was fried, came with sauce and lots of spice just fell flat. The Rangoons had very little flavor. They were even slightly under cooked it seemed. The corners were the only part that were crispy and the part closest to the middle was barely cooked. Not my fav. I like a very crispy rangoon. Maybe that's just my preference. I sampled my husband's pad Thai, also a bust. Hardly an spice or flavor. He ordered a 3 out of 5 and there was hardly any heat. Maybe my Vegas taste buds have been spoiled or maybe this is a different style of the Thai we're not used to. At any rate I'm only giving it 3 out of 5 stars based on the food itself. The restaurant was in an interesting looking built stone building & plaza and the interior was decorated with a pretty traditional Asian-Thai theme. This place was packed on a Sat night too! The locals must love it. There was a line of people waiting to be seated when we arrived. There are no complaints about the service. We called our order in for pick up. The man who took out order was polite and I believe he was the same host who was greeting people at the door. He was very busy but still gave great service with a smile. Again, this review is not a reflection of him. He was great. The food....just wasn't.

We told the man at the counter that we had never been there before and had some questions, which he didn't really answer. I'd never been to a poke restaurant (or shop) that didn't have the fish on display for customers to view before ordering - so it was natural that we'd have some questions. We also like to see if fish doesn't look fresh and avoid ordering those items, but we were unable to do so here. My husband and I each ordered a "1 choice" bowl, which was supposed to be served over a bed of hot rice and cabbage. When I asked for tap water, he said they don't have a tap. Really? Good thing we always carry water with us. Then, he asked us each if we wanted forks or chopsticks. He said we couldn't have both (without paying extra), and he looked at us funny when we requested chopsticks. The fish itself was fine, although there was no cabbage (it was just rice), and the portion of fish was small for the charge. One other thing that was odd about the experience. We were there for about a half hour, and while they had a steady stream of customers, I was the only woman. I don't think I've ever been in that situation before, and it felt really creepy. While that's probably not the restaurant's fault, I was so uncomfortable that I don't want to go back, and I especially wouldn't go back if I were alone.
