Meh. What I'd say is it's really not for me, but may be for someone. The bbq is a hard pass. What came out was no where near the classic take. It was like remnants of bbq pork past, heat up, and sent out with no classic condiments of ketchup, sesame seeds, and mustard. There was mustard on the table, but it was kind of dried out and questionable. Apps came out super quick. Like minutes. Main entrees took 15-20min. I think the chow mein was a greasy ok attempt. The rest of the food was also mid but... Like it does give the vibe that you may get food poisoning or you may not. *I did not get food poisoning but was definitely worried throughout the night. Today I wanted Chinese food, not the typical authentic type, I told myself I wanted the Whitest, most Americanized Chinese food that White people, Hispanics, blacks go and patronize at. And here is the verdict! **Did not Disappoint, Did not Disappoint, Did not Disappoint** This is where I'd go if I went to Bryce Canyon, Zion for the day and came back in town! This is where I'd go if I wanted to sample Historic Hong Kong style Chinese food before China took over the San Gabriel Valley and each town outside of the Coastal China Towns only had 5 Asians in each town. So here I am, in St. George Utah, with a 24 Hours overlay en route to delivering Costco's Kirkland Signature Paper Towels out of Anderson South Carolina ( Your Welcome, you can now search for who manufactures Costco Paper Towels, and it ain't Charmin). So anyways, this restaurant. After getting out of my Uber, I walk into probably what we call a relic-- the signage outside is worn out, it's nowhere located near a main street, but tugged away up hill in the back of a Denny's. As I enter, wow, it's like walking into a Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill time capsule of the 90s, that feeling where you visit Vegas when it had one Chinese restaurant back in the days. Nostalgic! I am greeted by friendly Filipino staff members... Interesting... seated down, and within minutes they take my order, Thai Style Curry Chicken with brown rice and hot and sour soup. Hear me out that's not Chinese food, but ok, I did order the service person's recommendation also: the House Fried Noodles, typically a Cantonese American dish where chop seuy style vegetables, various meats are tossed together in a brown oyster sauce and served on a hot plate. 5 minutes later, everything is served. Talk about efficiency! The Chicken Curry is a blend between Cantonese style and Thai style, and it BLOWS Banana Bay Rowland Heights Panang Curry out of the water! I probably had two servings of rice with this dish. The Fried Noodles Hot Plate, is what some out of state Chinese restaurants call Triple Delight, a mix of broccoli, canned baby corns, water chestnuts, carrots, mushrooms, tossed together with shrimp chicken and beef in a Cantonese brown sauce. And here the interpretation to take it up a notch put them on a sizzling hot plate over Hong Kong Crispy Egg Noodles, and BOOM, fireworks. This here although unauthentic, is what everyone out in Los Angeles should come out and try. It's where the Lakers team members like Robert Horry would sit down and order food such as at the Twin Dragon on Pico Blvd in Los Angeles, and he'd share stories with the old school Cantonese manager there about how Kobe can make any shot he wants. This is what defined America's Chinese Food scene back in the days. Maybe I'm nostalgic, and having worked in various out of state Cantonese run Chinese restaurants in small town America, this is what I'd go to have a meal, if I wanted something more than a PF Chang's and not a low quality China Buffett. read more

Coming from San Diego and visiting Utah for the holiday. Craving for Chinese food and we check Google review and they have decent 4 stars. I'm giving 2 stars since the cashier was fast and efficient. We ordered to go and the food is very disappointing. I never had a horrible Asian food in my life. Their pad thai is just a noodle and chicken, no tamarind seasoning, no chives, no limes, no peanuts, no eggs and no sauce. Worst pad thai ever existed in Asian restaurant! Orange chicken was so bland Appetizer Barbeque pork was so bland and very tough like jerky. I would not recommend this place for Asian food I try to support small business restaurant and avoid chains restaurants but I hate wasting my hard earned money for crappy food as well. We end up throwing 70% of our food after trying to eat it but it's not consumable and just a waste of calories to eat it. read more

We ate there for lunch today. We ordered the General Tso chicken and the combo lowmein. I have to say the meal was almost uneatable. The fried rice, that came with the meal had no flavor, the chicken had the most gross texture to it, almost like it was not cooked, no crispy coating on the outside. This was brutal. We ate lunch there on a Sunday (11-2-25). Kung Pao Chicken & Pork Lo Mein. The chicken was....off. It clearly wasn't fresh and had a strange texture/flavor. The Lo Mein was pale in color and was juat pork and noodles which is an indication of an unserious, inexperienced kitchen. How do they not know how to prepare Lo Mein? The port was shriveled and dry. Order a 3 plates of good to split between a family of 6 and still have with to bring home leftovers. You know l probably know the type of restaurant. My favorite Chinese place in CA closed during Covid. I've spent the years since trying to find a place that even comes close. And I think I've found it in St. George, UT. Their Hot and Sour Soup is as good as I've ever had - I never thought I'd taste anything that great again. Their Chicken with Garlic Sauce (not the one with honey - though I want to try that too - the other one), I think it's called Yu-Shang Chicken was very tasty. My wife ordered the Sesame Chicken, which I'm not normally a big fan of, and it was as good as I imagine Sesame Chicken could be. I ate a lot more of it than I expected. Generous portions, Great service The original restaurant we wanted to try in St George had an hour wait time... hell no, I was starving so instead of Japanese we went for Chinese just up the hill. There were a number of people waiting in the lobby area but they were all there for take out so we zipped past those folks and got seated immediately. The staff were friendly, attentive and gave us ample time to look through the menu. In the meantime, we were given glasses of ice cold water. We decided to order teriyaki dishes from their "Taste of Asia" selection -- one beef and one chicken. The dishes came with soup, salad and rice. We also ordered vegetable egg roll [2-pcs]. We were given a complimentary appetizer of crispy noodles served with our soup. And I know it seems totally counterintuitive but a hot soup is probably the last thing on one's mind on a hot day but I just can't stop my craving for the Egg Flower Soup (hubby chose the Hot & Sour). When they brought us our meals, my reaction was like whoa! the portions were huge... it was a lot of meat. In fact, 75% of my plate was just the Beef Teriyaki Steak and same with my hubby with his Teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki sauce was separate on small dipping bowls. The salad and the fried rice each were served separately in a serving bowl/plates. The fried rice was not the best, just okay, imo. We went at the lunch hour and they were busy! They still got us seated and served quickly! I have liked most of what we ate here. We had the orange chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice, cheese rangoons and I love their sweet and sour sauce! All of these things were delicious! However we also ordered the mandarin chicken which was terrible. It tasted and looked like someone spilled half a bottle of soy sauce in it. I thought maybe something had gone wrong with my order but someone I was with said they had ordered it before and it was the same. They said they couldn't even eat it. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating, but everything else went downhill. 3/4 of the entrees we ordered were extremely salty to the point where they were inedible. I'd advise against ordering the chicken/beef rice bowls and the pad Thai, which were all swimming in sauce. My beef udon was okay at best - the beef tasted very artificial, while the vegetables appeared to be frozen and heated up. The waiter was nice enough to replace one chicken rice bowl with an udon bowl without charging extra. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience and I won't be returning. read more

Worst rendition of general's chicken I've ever had. Had a weird tangy sauce. Dark meat chicken -- got gristle 2 of 5 pieces. Side of rice had funny taste, too. Hot and sour soup and wontons were good. Fried prawn was basically panko. Server dropped off out plates and brought the side of sauce my wife wanted, and was never seen again. The young man who cleared plates and refilled water was nice and attentive. Table had communal pot of hot mustard and one of a chili pepper sauce. Sorry but that makes me nervous to depend upon the manners of the previous customers. Not particularly clean. Kind of an old grease smell. That shoulda warned me off straight away. I've been here before. I know I've eaten here in my way to California or on my way back to Salt Lake City I'm here for 3 months for work and broke my small town Chinese food rule. Who am I trying to fool. I am a sucker for Chinese food. I came in on a Sunday night at 6pm. They took my drink order and it took them 10 mins to take my order. It looks like there was only 1 server and 1 busboy. The place was really busy and I tried to call in an order but they were not answering their phone. I ordered Walnut Shrimp and the House Pan Fried Noodles. They brought my food over in less than 5 minutes. First off, the noodles were NOT pan fried. They definitely have too much sauce on the dish. The dish came with beef, chicken, and shrimp zucchini, mushrooms, water chestnuts, ocarrots, baby corn, and broccoli. The flavors were not too salty, however I did detect a little sugar which skewed the flavors a little bit. It wasn't the worse I've had and the flavors grew on me. The Walnut Shrimp was served on a a bed of lettuce which I don't like because the lettuce flavor blends into the shrimp. Once again, there was too much sauce. The sauce was not sweet enough. I added a couple packets of sugar (to the horror of the people that sat across from me) which brought the dish to life. If you do this, you have stir it in really well and let the sugar absorb into the dish. However, for over $15 for a dish I had to alter and with only 12 shrimps, it is a little pricey. The fried rice that came with the dish did not have any flavor and came with egg and peas. Overall, I ate all of both dishes. The flavors are not bad with the two dishes I tried. I will most likely come back and try other dishes. read more

Okay not really, but I was craving Chinese food and saw this place had decent ratings. It was pretty good, I got the Mongolian beef and chicken and vegetables. Mongolian beef is above-average, and the Chicken vegetables very tasty. I would definitely come back here again.
