One of the worst Panda Express locations I've ever been to. Ordered Beijing Beef bowl and they told me 4-5 minutes to make more. 20 minutes later it's finally done while the rest of our food sat there getting cold. The lady had an attitude like she was inconvenienced by me asking what was taking so long while our other food was sitting there getting cold. Also ordered Teriyaki Chicken bowls and were told sauce was served on the side now and surprise surprise no sauce. Honestly guys I don't think you can find a better Panda Express or even a better Chinese restaurant anywhere. They weren't super busy and where ready to help me with freshly cooked chow mein orange chicken fried rice beef and broccoli and many more. None of their usual menu items were out and the staff was very accepting and efficient!! I will be back tomorrow or even tonight as you can't find or cook better food. This place had nice clean tables with cushioned booths which is a huge plus!! It wasn't deafeningly loud like many other restaurants and I felt right at home here!! The orange chicken tasted old, per usual, which I why I don't go to any Panda Express locations (unless I have to aka there are no other food choices -- which is sad). This review is for the Panda Express at the corner of N. Bluff St. and Sunset Blvd. Generally speaking, I've had better luck with other stores. I've ordered takeout 6-7 times here. It's close to my house so I want to like it. But I don't. For one thing, there seems to be a "confused" vibe among the staff most days. Comparatively speaking, it does not seem like they focus on keeping dishes rotated and fresh. I look over the food quickly before I order something, and it is obvious too many dishes are in the serving trays too long. Unlike other stores, they never seem to have my favorite (string bean chicken) ready to go. When I've ordered it, it has taken 10 minutes for the cook to even start my order. They seem more interested in keeping up with orange chicken. I've taken cartons home and tossed them in the garbage they tasted so bad. We rarely go back now. Comparing the service and food quality to other well-managed locations, I believe this store needs a management overhaul. read more

The staff are friendly, the food is consistent and they don't alter recipes like other food chains in the area to suit the area's preference for bland food. So, hallelujah to that. This location is fairly small, to what I'm accustomed to. However, the food is flavorful and served at a nice warm temperature. Chow mein - oh how I love you. It's a little greasy, but that's ok. White rice - it's white rice, but I like that it's not dry. Steamed veggies - great alterative if you don't like carbs. Orange chicken - mmm..mmm. Nothing more comforting than that combo sweet and tart taste. Beijing beef - it's basically the beef version of orange chicken. Teriyaki chicken - with a side of teriyaki sauce is delicious. They use boneless thigh meat which keeps the chicken moist despite being under the heat lamps. Mushroom chicken - love the combo of chicken and mushroom.
