This place delivered a fun late lunch experience with great service, lively ambiance, and solid food overall. I ordered the regular burger and fries. The fries were cooked to perfection--crispy, golden, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The burger itself was well-seasoned and cooked to the right temperature, showing the kitchen knows how to handle quality. My only drawback was the bun-to-burger ratio. With the larger bun and toppings, the rich beefy flavor got a little lost. A slightly bigger patty or smaller bun would have really made it shine. My wife went with the grilled chicken salad with goat cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the salad was fresh, and the dressing being pre-mixed gave every bite consistent flavor. The goat cheese portion was definitely generous--great for goat cheese lovers, though it looked like a bit much from my perspective. Luckily, she loved it. Overall, a vibrant solid spot with delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. However after my friend was done eating, no one picked up their dirty dishes even after they came to table. They asked if we wanted dessert before I was done eating. The vibes are abound at George's Corner. From the friendly staff, especially Hannah, who was our server; she was amazing. The food overall was great, tasty, but we did have a few mishaps with the burgers and how they were cooked. We stopped at George's Corner after trying to dine at another local place that was all booked up. Though George's wasn't our first choice, it ended up working out and we really enjoyed our food and drinks. The restaurant itself is nice and has a fun ambiance. We each ordered a drink. I had a margarita which wasn't very strong but was enjoyable. For my meal, I had the grilled chicken Caesar sandwich. The sandwich itself was really good and I liked the fries and dip that came with it as well. Our server was pleasant and attentive too. The food looked good I will give them that put both me and my Grandma's pancakes were burnt badly on the bottom side making them difficult to eat without having to drown them in syrup I even tried to cut off the burnt parts. The service was great though our server was very attentive and brought us our drinks and food in no time. He made my Raspberry Italian Soda very well it was delicous. Our server, Gabe, was amazing! He was so fun to chat with and recommendations were spot on. We shared the house nachos. Huge portion. We got it with pulled pork and didn't know it was already mixed with barbecue sauce. Didn't quite like that. Ordered some cocktails and beer. Got the Juicy IPA which was very good. Ordered the Moscow mule and strawberry margarita. Both were light on the alcohol. The margarita was too sweet as well. Got the potted banana crème pie for dessert. That was amazing! Banana crème, chocolate, caramel and coconut topped with whipped cream! Only complaint was the fact that the two person tables are right by the restrooms and positioned so close to each other, we might as well should have been one party. Ate lunch at this place after going to the expo for the St George marathon. Overall it was a very solid lunch joint for a party of 6. The menu is good sized and diverse and there's something for everybody's palate here. We had a vegetarian with us and he was able to find a few items he was interested in. Its friendly spot, hostesses and servers were very cordial and helpful. I ordered the lamb burger cooked medium. It was a good sized patty cooked with a little bit of pink in the middle ( can't over cook lamb otherwise it's just not good) just the way I like it. Got fries for my side, pretty standard side. Able to watch the history of St. George and of the restaurant from a television within the restaurant so that was nice. Very clean and well put together. The misters and air conditioning was a welcome relief on a hot day. The short rib bow tie pasta was absolutely delicious, and there's a great variety of drinks from the bar. We went because the reviews were good, and we were not disappointed. Staff was friendly, and prompt. We went on a busy Friday night. Kids ate every single bit of food on their plates, and all the adults are very happy. Highly recommend the Philly cheese because it had big chunks of steak with no gristle. This is a really cute restaurant and our server was nice. We ordered the queso dip and it was good, but it had A LOT of jalapeños. It wasn't hot, just a little too many in my opinion. Approached the front desk where the hostess sighed deeply and looked utterly put upon when we asked if we could sit at the bar and have a cocktail while waiting for an open table. (I'm sorry, we're not Utah natives so did not know this might be a problem.) Once seated our table of four ordered cocktails and chorizo nachos to start. The drinks arrived warm, watered down, tasteless and in child sized glasses. Nachos arrived cold and oddly seasoned with cinnamon and all spice (we asked because it was just too weird). Next came the Tostada Salad which was ordered with "pulled pork", wrongly assuming Mexican flavors would be involved. Nope. The tiny salad arrived with a cold glop of BBQ pork slopped above a small smear of completely tasteless black bean paste (and I use the word paste generously here) atop a mound of plain greens. In fact, 90% of the dish was just dry lettuce. Two tiny cucumber and jicama spears were stuck jauntily around the edges, along with two paper thin slices of brown/blackening avocado and a Lilliputian size dish of pinkish/bland dressing on the side. You know it's a tragically bad dish when the diminutive jicama sticks are the highlight of the night. Everything about the meal was so poorly executed that we felt ... confused? Like maybe we were the butt of a bad joke or had lost an unknown bet, or perhaps a hidden camera was recording a psychological experiment in how people react when served really bad food? We know great (flavorful, purposeful, made with care) food exists in St George, but on this night at least, it wasn't to be found here. read more

Food is subjective because not everyone has the same palette, likes and dislikes. After trying this place ourselves we can confidently agree with the high stars and glowing reviews. I had the burger and you can taste the quality of ingredients! They grind their beef in-house. Which is very important when ordering your burger medium or less than medium. Fries were good as well My lady had the cheesesteak and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. So much so that she didn't even offer me a bite Our server was super friendly, helpful and not at all overbearing. Exceptional! The restaurant itself is nicely lit to give a cozy and welcoming feel. Nice lunch spot! I tried the tri-tip sandwich and it was good. The bread was maybe a little hard, but not enough to ward me off from getting it again. The decor and vibe is interesting - I am not sure what was going on in the restaurant as there was so many things that felt thrown together. I did like the bits of history scattered about. I also tried the banana split. While not traditional (uses three scoops of vanilla instead of vanilla, strawberry, chocolate), it was very tasty. The bill was a bit steep - but I enjoyed eating here. Great location and a fun vibe. The service was friendly and attentive by our server Darnell, and the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. We tried a mix of things and overall enjoyed the meal. The lamb burger was the best dish - juicy, flavorful, and good toppings. We also had the Caesar salad, the greens salad, and the calamari. The Caesar was solid, but the pear on the greens salad wasn't quite ripe, which threw it off a bit. As for the calamari, we usually love "dusted" style, but this one had a heavier cornmeal coating that made it a little too crispy for our taste. For dessert, we shared the bread pudding and the rhubarb "pie." I'm a huge rhubarb fan, so I was excited to see it on the menu, but it was more of a crisp served in a ramekin than a true pie.
