Never have I been to a state where their liquor laws are regulated differently than where I am from, California. I am not a big drinker, not even a social one, however a friend of mine that I was with in our trip to Zion National Park was craving wine. I was unaware that some states still regulated alcohol like Utah did but I wasn't bothered, only intrigued! It was a sight to see when this place had a almost filled parking lot and line out the door. Utah citizens must really fancy their libations! The store is very clean and kept very well. Aisles are spaced out nicely and the store is welcoming. It was no challenge to find what my friend wanted. There are three registers and they were all opened up to accommodated the amount of customers. Just as there was a line before the store opened, there was a line to get out of the store! It was easy to locate and it is in a great location. It wasn't too far from town or the Inn at Entrada where I stayed.

Great selection of everything you made need! When you're in Utah and your thirsty stop in and see what they have to offer.

They have everything. Nice cashier. You have to go here if you need wine. Prices are fair.

Always a good selection and everyone there are super friendly. Nice they now have plenty of checkers, ran it pretty lean for a few years.

Bummed to find that the store has weird hours due to covid. Not sure why this is the case. The hours have not been update on yelp or google.

First time ever in Utah. The whole buying alcohol from the government is odd. It looked like a store from Cuba

Wine selection sucks. The store was dirty but who cares. It's across from Ala Moana and if you like overpriced beer and wine go here.

The staff is always friendly. The booze is overpriced but threats a state liquor store for you.

5-Star Review: Spiritual Speakeasy - A Hidden Gem Cocktail Parlor in Downtown St. George…read moreIf you're in St. George and craving a night out that feels worlds away from the typical Utah bar scene, Spiritual Speakeasy (2 W St. George Blvd #5, right at Ancestor Square) is an absolute must. It's not just another spot--it's a true speakeasy-style cocktail lounge with that perfect moody, intimate Prohibition-era vibe. Think dim lighting, plush vintage settees and ornate seating that feels like stepping into a gothic 1800s parlor, gilded mirrors, stone crosses, and an electric yet cozy energy that's ideal for date night, a special occasion, or just unwinding with friends. Spiritual Speakeasy Bar (2026) - All You MUST Know Before You Go (with Reviews) The cocktails here are next-level--award-winning (they've taken Best Bar in Southern Utah multiple times, and it shows). I went with the Smoked Old Fashioned (beautifully balanced, smoky perfection with premium spirits) and the Spicy Dead Lady (a creative, flavorful kick that's become a favorite). They also do standouts like Espresso Martini, Pornstar Martini, Skull Chapel, and Holy Grail, all crafted with top-shelf ingredients including Utah's own High West whiskeys. The bartenders are true mixologists--super knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to chat about the spirits or customize something just for you. Spiritual Speakeasy - St. George, UT | joe coffee It's open daily from 5 PM to 1 AM (or 2 AM some nights), with live DJs on weekends adding to the lively but not overwhelming atmosphere. It's intimate (can feel a bit cozy/crowded when busy), and the music can get loud, but that's part of the electric speakeasy charm. Service is attentive, though it can slow down on peak nights--totally worth it. In a town not exactly known for wild nightlife, this place punches way above its weight. Sophisticated, fun, and unexpectedly upscale. We've already made it our go-to whenever we're in St. George. If you love craft cocktails and a unique vibe, hunt it down--you won't regret it. Highly recommended! (Pro tip: Look for the hidden entrance vibe--they make it feel like a real discovery.)
