Run-of-the mill state owned liquor store here. It's got a decent selection of booze, laid out clearly so you can find just what you're looking for. The prices are on par with other state owned liquor stores in Utah-you don't really have a choice..no discount liquor stores allowed. What a strange thing...a state liquor store... I live in California so you can buy your booze at BevMo, or Total Wine and more or COSTCO. This was such a funny place, apparently the only liquor store in St George. There was zero promotional items in the store and nothing was pre-chilled. But prices were reasonable. Fun fact: the employees are state employees and the guy ringing us up said the state benefits are great. read more

Always a good selection and everyone there are super friendly. Nice they now have plenty of checkers, ran it pretty lean for a few years.

Haven't found it - why don't you list the address here. Thanks, Anny I found it - it took three hours. No navigation device (I used three different ones) took me to the door. Apple dropped me off blocks away. Google got confused and took me to the freeway where I could see it. My telephone had another route and only took me as far as Walmart. By design, Utah government makes this hard to find. I don't understand this since Jesus' first miracle was turning water into wine at his mother Mary's request to honor the wedding ceremony. The prices are a bit 50 cents to a dollar higher pre bottle (no case discount) than I am used to spending at Walmart in Idaho. The store is very clean, well organized and the lady and man working there as cashiers were both very friendly and very helpful. Never have I been to a state where their liquor laws are regulated differently than where I am from, California. I am not a big drinker, not even a social one, however a friend of mine that I was with in our trip to Zion National Park was craving wine. I was unaware that some states still regulated alcohol like Utah did but I wasn't bothered, only intrigued! It was a sight to see when this place had a almost filled parking lot and line out the door. Utah citizens must really fancy their libations! The store is very clean and kept very well. Aisles are spaced out nicely and the store is welcoming. It was no challenge to find what my friend wanted. There are three registers and they were all opened up to accommodated the amount of customers. Just as there was a line before the store opened, there was a line to get out of the store! It was easy to locate and it is in a great location. It wasn't too far from town or the Inn at Entrada where I stayed. read more

This well appointed liquor store has all the overpriced (because Utah) selection of the big city state liquor stores. Nice cider and beer selection with local breweries. If Utah won't treat drinkers like adults with agency, at least they sell state Liquor in pretty, State supplied buildings. read more

For this city, the local selection of beer is appreciated. Strong perfume/cologne odor upon entering the store. Seems like the main floor is filled with a warehouse of wines. They have a decent selection of booze... It's all overpriced...But that's Utah for you! The parking lot is a joke on the weekend. I guess if you are in southern Utah and need booze this is the place to go! Ha If you want a better selection, you could always head to Mesquite... I'm fairly certain I've never had a positive experience at a government run institution. I'm from out of town and this was a weird experience for me. Having the government in charge of my alcohol to this degree isn't really America. With that said... Nice helpful staff! I forgot I wasn't in California anymore and used foul language with the cashier and she didn't castigate me. 10/10 I'll get my liquor here again. Not that I have a lot of options anyways. read more

Who writes a review for a liquor store? Apparently me. Like most liquor stores in the state of Utah, it has what you need. However, be forewarned at the absolutely ludicrous closing time. We came in here on a FRIDAY before Easter, at 6:54 p.m. We were informed that the liquor store closes at 7. Not only does it close at 7 but the registers actually LOCK, so even if the attendants wanted to help you, they cannot. I once lived in Salt Lake City, so I've gotten accustomed to living amongst the liquor store laws, but this was absolutely inconceivable. At least the stores up north have the decency to be open till 10:00 p.m. I can work with that. Thankfully, we were able to get everything we needed in record time but had we missed the mark we would have been shit out of luck till the following day. Plan accordingly. We made the mistake of not stopping in Mesquite, Nevada on the way up to St. George Utah. I had to find a state liquor store to get normal beer not the 3.2 variety at the grocery stores. We got directions to the state liquor store located off to Sunset to find it closed due to maintenance. What a joke, we followed another disgruntled patron, to find the only place in St. George to sell regular beer. The stores choice of beer was super small and expensive. The least expensive beer was 1.75 each. I bought 2 six packs for over $ 20. Could buy 2 cases back home for the same price. And to insult to injury, the cashier has to scan each beer .
