From the moment we stepped in this store we felt like we were being treated like children. The manager hovered over us while we're shopping and then was snippy when we asked a question. Due to Covid, my license is expired and not able to be renewed in my home state. She said that she couldn't sell us anything even though I said I had another form of ID in my car but she was insistent that she would not sell to us. I feel that her entire demeanor was so unprofessional and rude, it was just unnecessary. read more

Wow! Glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. The store is small and little selection but hey no problem it's a small liquor store. The MANAGER is so mean!!! Every time I go in she is so rude and acts like she hates me and i have never done anything but smile at her! But what really gets me is the way she treats her employees. I completely agree with those reviewers that have said Krista is rude. I experienced her rudeness & bullying personally. I will not patronize that particular store again. Maybe Krista thinks she can get by with treating customers the way she does as the customers have no options. The other liquor store is much friendlier. read more

Contrary to 2014 review below it is no longer the only liquor store in St. George. There is one on 161 N 900 E and another just off Interstate 15 Hurricane exit. Great cause it's closest to my home and has red wines I like. I appreciate the staff that says "no mask over nose and mouth, no service". May seem grumpy to some but to me it feels safe during COVID. read more

Wow, happy holidays sunset liquor store. What happened to your positive and happy customer service. It was a "zero" today while visiting this location and a staff member yelled at me when she was cleaning up a mess from someone's broken bottle. Not sure why this is somehow hard to find, as it's one of the largest things in the Phoenix Plaza. Despite that, selection is a bit iffy, but probably reasonable for the area. Aisle spacing is also so-so, but there's not a lot of competition in the city and there's little incentive to go too crazy with things, I suppose. Krista needs to be fired! Every time I'm in this store she is yelling at someone. She obviously is a miserable person and wants everyone else to be while they are shopping for alcohol. Believe me I would shop elsewhere but in Utah we have very few options. She refused to sell to me or my sister because my license was expired even though my sister had her license and was purchasing the wine. Keep in mind; I am a 54 year old grandmother of 6. She, the cashier and the security officer all refused to sell to us even though my sister (who had her id with her) said that she would leave the store and come back in without me to purchase it. They said they couldn't sell to her because I had been with her. This is absurd. I called DABC the next day to file a formal complaint. I was told by a compliance officer at the DABC that if you want to file a complaint, you need to email the governor's office because nothing will happen if you complain to DABC directly. This is encouraging isn't it??? These people think they are untouchable because we have no other options. I am filing a complaint with the governor and hope that anyone who reads this will too!
