Lee's Discount Liquor is a candy store for adults. I've tried many products from Lee's just for the experience of tasting something new. ( absinthe is not a favorite of mine). Yes, I live in Utah. Stopped at Lee's on our way to Utah and the first impression was "this place is huge!". Once inside we could see why Lee's gets all the hype in Nevada. The selection was extensive. They had practically any type of alcohol you could look for and a ton of it! We explored for maybe 15 min and still hadn't see half of the store. We picked up a few items (whiskey, rum, beer and sparkling wine) and headed to checkout which was fast and cashier was very nice. One thing to I check out is the "candy counter" of mini bottles. What a fun way to display! Good selection, nice people and decent prices make this a win for me. read more

Easy in and out access from the main highway. Clean store, well stocked, wide variety of alcohol, fair prices. Can't say one way or another as to the staff being helpful other than when I go through checkout the checker is friendly and if I purchase a large quantity of wine they ask if I would like a box. read more

Hi. Yesterday (Sunday, 9/10/23) my wife and I made a purchase at your Mesquite store that was around 86 dollars or so. I paid with a 100 dollar bill. The cashier started telling us that the last time someone paid with a 100 dollar bill they left him a 50 dollar tip. Then he went on to explain to us that your store does not allow tip jars but that he would be able to take a tip if we handed him the money directly. Then he went on to tell us how most people tip smaller amounts. He went on and on about tips for the few minutes we were there. I have to tell you that we were appalled at his blatant solicitation for a tip. It was very uncomfortable and we will probably not come back to your store again. And no, we did not leave him a tip. read more

The only thing better than a Lee's Discount Liquor is a NEWLY REMODELED AND EXPANDED Lee's. This place is now huge. Walking in and looking around you think "Costco" and immediately get excited about how much (alleged) bootlegging you are going to do back to your state where booze is much, much more expensive. Price and selection are the claim to fame and Lee's hits the mark on both. The layout of the store is a little different and I found it odd that the beer coolers were at a different side of the store from the other beers. Once I found the bulk stacks I noticed a great selection of specialty / collectors type beers to be had. Ironically we were actually looking for Lee's Tavern which it seems is now closed or has moved, but clearly the Liquor business is booming since I uttered a phrase something like "Holy mother of [insert favorite deity here] we have to see this, I mean we're invested already since we're here anyway". Very friendly and helpful staff. The store was very busy when I went in. It's a fairly small space with lots of product. I had a difficult time finding a particular wine but a checker left her post to show me where it was on the shelf. She even checked the back stock without me asking to see if they had more. The shelf shows a price then register is way off BUT, The bottom shows a savings (Tricky math) if you can figure out what is what and for a second time got charged for an item multiple times. Went in tonight to get a Father's Day drink for my father in law with my wife the dude at the register was not friendly the dude standing by the register I smiled at to be friendly because he was staring as I passed by I got a wow like rudeness have some customer service and greet your customers at least if your gonna stand and stare! Wow!!! I have never seen this much selection of beer, hard liquor, wine, sake and soju. Very clean and well organized sections. Most importantly, price is soooo good and everyone of workers were so nice. I had to spend literally one hour to shop all different alcohol drinks I've never seen from any other shops. Lee's has a great reputation in Las Vegas. Serving N. Nevada and S. Utah, the Lee's in Mesquite is chaotic, poorly managed and generally has poor customer service. They have an extensive selection of hard liquor at good prices. Certain items such as preferred wines and after dinner drinks are routinely out of stock. I was once told they get restocked only at the beginning of the month and do not attempt to keep items in stock. Twice I have special ordered items that never show up. If you are shopping, you will never find a staff member to help. Cashier lines are long and slow. Asking questions about products rarely gets a useful answer. Too bad, because purchasing alcoholic beverages in Utah is painful and expensive. If only Lee's had a competitor in Mesquite, they might shape up. read more

Went there on April 14th this year with several family members. We had two different cashiers between us and both of them were clearly not happy to be working on a Sunday. Very irritable older female employees who were nasty at best. There was some sort of "issue" with the credit card reader that had them all in a bad mood. The store has a decent selection of alcohol. Just a fair selection of beer. They need to install a restroom and employees who actually want to work. read more

Was on my way out of the state heading up to a homestead in Utah. I thought of now better place to stop and stock on supplies before crossing the state line than Lee's in Mesquite. I was actually excited to add another location to my yelp list. I followed the GPS to this location a hop, skip, and a jump from the I-15. I arrived at Uncle Lee's just short of closing time. I was curtly reminded of closing time as I sauntered through the door by one of the employees. Under the gun of time, I quickly perused the surroundings. This location had an open and airy feel. I would have explored more but I could hear the two employee dudes telling those who came in behind me about the store closing soon. I grabbed some beer and headed to counter where the two employee. They were amped out about closing at 9:00 and talked of shutting it down while eyeing those still in the store. I wondered about what Uncle Lee would have thought. Would he have wanted those seeking merriment or counseling in a bottle to be turned away? Money is money..... I asked for a half pint of Jameson and I was informed they did not carry it. WTF?! I was doing all right with time pressure and then that happened. No half pints....no pints? I have been to approximately 10 locations and was shocked at this revelation. I have now documented and the next time I head out of town going north....I will stop WAY before Mesquite for my spirited accouterments. read more

We stop here when we pass through Mesquite on our way to our summer camping trips in Utah, Colorado, and points beyond. This is basically like the BevMo stores and/or other liquor-marts that we have here in California. But, being from CA, Lee's is awesome because it allows us to stock up on craft beers that are unavailable, or hard to find, in CA (Wasatch Brewing, Great Basin Brewing, Moab Brewing Co., Ska Brewing, Santa Fe Brewing, etc, etc). So, yeah, no complaints. This place it cool, and we'll definitely stop by again next time we pass through this part of Nevada. read more
