a row of beer glasses on a bar
    Huy T.

Every local I ran into and asked for bar recommendations for some reason tried to steer me away from this bar. It's called The One and Only because it was once the one and only bar in town and for a good while too. Sure, people have got shot here, and it might not be in the best part in town, and maybe there might be some sketchy figures here; but it isn't bad at all. I hunkered down got a table and went through several pitchers of PBR (why not?, it's cheap af and gets you there lol). Shot a few pool games, met a few nice people and was able to end the night on a high note. There are also screens with bunch of games running if you want to just chill out and watch. Pro-tip, the hottest girls come here because its the only one with a DJ/dance floor for rachet weekend nights. I have no qualms about givin this a 4, I had a good time.

Okay, this is a Country dive bar with a bunch of pool tables. There is pub snacks, karaoke, free pool Sun & Mondays and a lot of beers at great prices. No liquors. Great bar service. Very casual and fun. There is a dance floor. I'm sure when its the weekend and the dj's there, woohoo. Lots of parking. Beer served late.

Not bad for a beer bar. They have a decent sized dance floor, pool tables, karaoke and DJ nights.

Can you come here if you are under 21, but not planning on purchasing alcohol?

No. It's a bar. You have to be 21 to get in the door.

When do they play country music? We will be there in February and want a country bar to go dancing in. What nights is country music? I've only seen ads saying they have hip hop nights and free pool other nights

5-Star Review: Spiritual Speakeasy - A Hidden Gem Cocktail Parlor in Downtown St. George…read moreIf you're in St. George and craving a night out that feels worlds away from the typical Utah bar scene, Spiritual Speakeasy (2 W St. George Blvd #5, right at Ancestor Square) is an absolute must. It's not just another spot--it's a true speakeasy-style cocktail lounge with that perfect moody, intimate Prohibition-era vibe. Think dim lighting, plush vintage settees and ornate seating that feels like stepping into a gothic 1800s parlor, gilded mirrors, stone crosses, and an electric yet cozy energy that's ideal for date night, a special occasion, or just unwinding with friends. Spiritual Speakeasy Bar (2026) - All You MUST Know Before You Go (with Reviews) The cocktails here are next-level--award-winning (they've taken Best Bar in Southern Utah multiple times, and it shows). I went with the Smoked Old Fashioned (beautifully balanced, smoky perfection with premium spirits) and the Spicy Dead Lady (a creative, flavorful kick that's become a favorite). They also do standouts like Espresso Martini, Pornstar Martini, Skull Chapel, and Holy Grail, all crafted with top-shelf ingredients including Utah's own High West whiskeys. The bartenders are true mixologists--super knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to chat about the spirits or customize something just for you. Spiritual Speakeasy - St. George, UT | joe coffee It's open daily from 5 PM to 1 AM (or 2 AM some nights), with live DJs on weekends adding to the lively but not overwhelming atmosphere. It's intimate (can feel a bit cozy/crowded when busy), and the music can get loud, but that's part of the electric speakeasy charm. Service is attentive, though it can slow down on peak nights--totally worth it. In a town not exactly known for wild nightlife, this place punches way above its weight. Sophisticated, fun, and unexpectedly upscale. We've already made it our go-to whenever we're in St. George. If you love craft cocktails and a unique vibe, hunt it down--you won't regret it. Highly recommended! (Pro tip: Look for the hidden entrance vibe--they make it feel like a real discovery.)

We were able to be seated without an issue, they just opened around the time we came in. The ambiance was cool & different & the secret door was a cool touch. Drinks were great. Loved the variety they offered. I took a star off because the guy who checked our IDs in the front didn't tell us it was open seating, so we just stood there waiting to be helped not knowing what to do if we can sit anywhere , or needed to wait. The bartender didn't stop to welcome us , or let us know it was open seating. We aren't locals, nor have we been before, so standing there without any direction was kind of not welcoming. Overall, it was a cool vibe, drinks were good, however not sure if I would return when I do come into town.

The service? Spot on. If you're after an intimate, low-key spot with a warm atmosphere and a subtle speakeasy feel, this place delivers. The owners were there in person, took time to connect, and added a level of authenticity that's hard to fake. It's a bit tucked away and not where you'd expect--but that's part of the charm. A good speakeasy should feel like a find. We tried the meatballs with bacon jam, Maryland crab cakes, and the miso salmon--each one well-executed without trying too hard. Dessert was an orange cake that finished things off perfectly. Portions were just right. The cocktails stand out--not just for presentation, but for the clear intention behind them. There's a creative, almost literary theme running through the menu, and it shows real effort and originality. After talking with the bartender, it's obvious they take pride in constantly refining and creating. If you're looking for a relaxed, intimate date night spot that feels a little off the radar but fully worth it--this is one to check out.

The hostess seated us promptly (with luggage in tow). The restaurant is pretty spacious, so that worked out just fine. We enjoyed our food (a cobb salad for me and a burger for her). Janessa was our server and she was lovely and attentive. We then made a reservation for a larger group for that Saturday evening and Kyle and Mia helped us out... The reservation needed adjustment last minute due to a change in schedule that day and after multiple phone calls, they were able to accommodate that change. Note: it seems there is not a direct phone number to the restauarant so I had to work with someone in the hotel lobby for this. Interestingly enough, we ended up having dinner here on Friday as well with a large group. Huge thanks to Kyle and staff for working with us that evening... We worked out a large group order to-go but sat down for our drinks. Need to know: Due to Utah Liquor laws, adults who are drinking alcoholic beverages must be seated... that was a new fun fact I learned when making the reservation. On Saturday night, the restaurant had a bit of a condensed menu and they were out of salmon, which was a bit disappointing, but after having 3 meals here, we do recommend the wings, nachos, and burgers. The area in the back of the restaurant with games including ping pong is great for the kids and there is also a grassy area out back too. I know that this restaurant is fairly new and working out the kinks... I look forward to returning in the future as I know it will continue to get better.

I specifically mentioned that we were hoping to watch Supercross, and I was assured that wouldn't be a problem. However, when we arrived at our reserved time, we were told they would "look into" changing the channel because they weren't sure they could access Peacock. We decided to stay, ordered drinks and appetizers, and checked in multiple times with our waiter. Each time, we were told they were still working on it. After waiting for over an hour, we were finally told they couldn't put it on after all. The most frustrating part is that we would have completely understood if they had told us upfront. We could have made other plans and gone somewhere that could accommodate our request. Instead, we spent a significant part of the evening waiting and hoping, which took away from what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. Afterward, I noticed similar feedback from other guests about difficulties getting channels changed, even when it seemed possible. That was disappointing to see and makes it feel like this may be a recurring issue. The service itself was polite, but better communication and follow-through would have made a big difference in our experience.
