I ordered the house bacon cheeseburger. The meat was well cooked, and the sauce was great. I would have liked a bigger patty or a smaller bun. My friend had a similar experience with the french dip: tasted great, would have liked a little more meat. They have a decent variety on their menu compared to other "American eatery" style restaurants. It seems like a good place for a group with varied tastes. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, absolutely nothing negative to say there. Overall, it seems worth a visit, but I wouldn't place it among my favorites. read more

I had food picked up for me from family who had gone there. So I can speak about the food, and relay what my family had said about this restaurant. I ordered the chicken cutlets and they came with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. Yum! I wish the cutlets were maybe just a little thicker? But maybe it varies on the cuts. Overall though, I enjoyed it - especially with the sides given. My family had a variety of food there, but I heard them rave a lot about the ribs! They said the owner walked around and was checking in with the guest and they got to chatting with her for a bit and she's very friendly and welcoming. Service was pretty good. Our server was really efficient which I can appreciate. Ambience was nice, not bright not too dark. The bbq ribs were l ok. A little dry and hard but the sauce was really good. They we came close to closing so I can't blame them too much. They were out of ribeye steaks which was my first choice. My sister ordered another steak choice and she wasn't happy with her meal. She does keto but decided to have rice and she said the rice was really hard. Best salmon AND beet salad in Southern Utah! No one even comes close in my opinion. Chef gives the exact amount of sear to the fish that is prepared to a perfect medium and the beet salad is extraordinary. Multiple types of beets, pistachios, goat cheese....... It was just the seating at the beginning that is a weird process that needs to be worked out...only reason it's not 5 stars. Waited about 10 minutes to sit at open barstools. We wanted a nice dinner to celebrate while you were out of town. We originally planned on a steakhouse, but it was closed for a holiday party, so we decided to try Pig Ear instead--and I'm so glad we did. When we walked in, it was packed, which is always a great sign. The vibe was very casual, but they had some really cute Christmas decorations that made it feel extra cozy. We waited about 10-15 minutes for seats at the bar, and it was totally worth it. We ordered the pig ribs and the prime bone-in ribeye. The ribs came with a maple chili glaze, coleslaw, and mac and cheese--absolute perfection. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and came with asparagus and potatoes au gratin, all of it full of flavor. We finished with crème brûlée, which was the perfect ending to the meal. Honestly, I'm glad the other restaurant was closed because we had such a great experience here. read more

Someone had recommended Pig's Ear as a good restaurant to dine in while we were visiting the area. The staff was friendly and attentive, and we did think the food was good while we were there. Unfortunately, 2 out of 4 of us got sick after dining here (we both happened to have the beet salad, so it was most likely the culprit). Roasted beet salad: it was tasty, but again, two of us ended up sick after eating this. Rigatoni: the sauce was really tasty. The last 2 times we have visited they have been out of ribeyes. This last visit we sat by the bathrooms and service was not the best, my husbands wine glass was empty and wasn't offered an another one til our meal was almost finished. They need sound panels in the ceiling it can get very loud. read more

If I could give this place 1000,000 stars I would! We have tried to get into pigs, ear bistro before and have had a hard time because it is always packed! My advice: make a reservation! Plan to take your time and enjoy the ambiance. We were recommended to try the mac & cheese and the Key lime pie. One of my girls got the mac & cheese, and we all wished we had gotten that! It was incredible! The shaking beef was also to die for. The kids meals came with a beautiful Sunday so I ordered two desserts for myself. I had to try the crème brûlée as well as the bread pudding. Staff was super kind and my assumption is that this place is for the people who love Utah enough to not leave it and move to Silver Lake. I got a tasty burger. Make a reservation on voicemail to save time. This is one of the few foodie places to dine (and also serve cocktails). The atmosphere lacks decor is quite loud with slab floors and high ceilings but I hear sound tiles for the ceiling are coming soon. The bar was nothing special with stools to sit-up to but seemed to be in the overflow dining area. We enjoyed the whiskey sours with the fried portobello appetizer and mustard/horseradish? dipping sauce. Then we tried the wedge salad which was pretty typical with chunky bleu cheese but super crisp and cold. For dinner he loved the full rack of ribs that were very meaty and molasses sauced served with mac n cheese and coleslaw. I was steered away from ordering the ribeye and chose the NY with asparagus and substituted mac n cheese for the au gratin potatoes. The steak was very flavorful and perfectly prepared. I loved the mac with a bit of horseradish bite I think. We took extra steak, veggies and mac home for a third meal. For the finale we shared bread pudding with cream and cinnamon topping. Excellent service. Would definitely go again and try more things we just couldn't fit in. read more

Had gone here once years ago for lunch when they first opened and had been meaning to give them another try; so glad we did! They were extremely gracious about accommodating our large group of 10 for supper on short notice. I loved the romantic feel and subtle, woodsy Christmas decor. Andy couldn't resist trying the chili burger even though it didn't have a gluten-free bun and the only thing he regretted was eating the raw onion on it lol. It was cooked just right with a nice pink center and seasoned perfectly. I took a little bite of just the meat and would definitely order it just sans bun. His coleslaw was phenomenal too and he said the fries were super addicting. I opted for the superfoods bowl which was ginormous. The mint & other herb combo was a little strange but I enjoyed the generous amount of fresh fruit & seeds. I was bummed they were out of the seasonal raspberry sorbet and Andy was too stuffed to try the crème brûlée so we'll have to come back another time to try dessert. Staying nearby for my birthday trip to Zion and wanted a sit down dinner that was a little nicer than an average chain. We made a reservation for Friday at 730. When we arrived it was busy, but not overly crowded. Dance style music was playing throughout the restaurant. The decor is modern and sparse which leaves for an open concept floor plan. Our server was great, very attentive and paid us attention without being over bearing. He gave us drink and food recommendations as well. My wife had the Parmesan chicken cutlets, I had the pasta de mare. The chicken was crispy with good flavor and the sauce was creamy. The pasta was delicious, the butter white wine sauce was refreshing and herbaceous. I didn't care for the texture of the scallops, they seemed frozen then thawed, but flavor was still on point. Free dessert for the birthday and for kids! If we come back to Zion we will likely be back! read more
