I LOVE the Texas Roadhouse and try to go whenever I'm in a new city that has one! I stopped in here during a family trip and had a great experience. Parking was a breeze, bathrooms were clean and there was no wait at all. We sat at the bar and were served by the nada down best Texas Roadhouse bartender I've ever had! Ethan greeted us immediately, bread showed up as soon as we did and he really went the extra mile with his suggestions, and had a 10/10 personality! I love the country vibe here and the line dancing is always fun. The food was phenomenal and is always consistent. I got the ribs with salad and the best chili! Texas Roadhouse has been one of my fam's Yelp bookmarked places to try for quite some time now and we literally drive by it every year when we travel to Utah for snowboarding, so THIS YEAR was the year to make it happen. My sweet daughter got my hubs a gift card for his past bday, so it was another added reason for our pit stop. Despite staying 45ish mins away in Cedar City, our fam made the mini trek to St. George after a long day of fun in the snow. This popular Texas-themed steakhouse chain location is conveniently located right off the 15 freeway. Parking was plenty. Yelp PRO TIP: Do join the website's waitlist, as dinner time can get pretty crowded & they don't do rezos. We joined prior to leaving our hotel in Cedar City. The wait said 35-45 mins, which was perfect because we got there in about that time. Upon check-in, we only had to wait about another 10 mins, before being seated. The restaurant decor is something you would have to see for yourself. Lol It's designed to mimic rowdy roadhouses of the past, with vibes of part dive bar, part restaurant, but all rustic charm. Jake, our server was very friendly and attentive. He did forget our bread refill request a few times, but the place was pretty packed, so I'm sure he had a lot of tables to wait on. He did take good care of us, nonetheless. The hype about the warm, fresh-baked, sweet, and fluffy rolls served w/ their signature honey cinnamon butter was for reals cuz we couldn't stop eating it! The whole fam devoured them & we kept asking for more!!! A total better version of Lucille's bread & butter, for sure. We got the Cactus Blossom starter, which was super good. Think onion rings but with a blossom aesthetic instead. It wasn't oily at all & super crispy. The Cajun dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Next up, since the portions are pretty epic & plentiful, my daughter and I shared a 16 oz hand cut sirloin (medium rare of course..cuz obvi that's the only way to eat steak), topped w/ sautéed mushrooms & onions and loaded sweet potato & buttered corn sides. My hubs & son each got a sirloin & grilled shrimp combo (both med rare) topped w/ sautéed mushrooms and buttered corn & mashed potatoes sides (for my big eater son) & Texas red chili & salad (for the hubs). Everyone loved their food. The steak was cooked perfectly, IMO. The shrimp was a good size & flavorful. The corn was buttery & sweet. And my loaded sweet potato reminded me of Thanksgiving. I just had to remove the massive pile of marshmallows bc it got too sweet for me, but the sweet potato was perfect w/ the butter and cinnamony/caramel flavor. To wash everything down, I ordered the strawberry cucumber fizz mocktail which was super refreshing and yummy. All in all, a GREAT experience and a fam fav. So glad this place opened on Sunday. First impression were the yummy fresh baked rolls. Then the rack of ribs that was so tender and season perfectly. The 12 oz ribeye topped with onions and mushrooms was done perfectly that we didn't need to add any sauce or anything else. Cheese fries with the white sauce were so good too. Been here many times and I'm sad to say this one was of the not so great experiences. They really try to pack everyone in this restaurant like a can of sardines. Yes the restaurant was crowded but how they positioned everyone was way over capacity. Chairs literally touching each other, tables squished together, and it was very hot inside due to so many people in 1 area. The food id have to say was a 7/10 * the bread is amazing as always and the Cesar salad. The main entrees were bland & over cooked, our waiter got our sides mixed up and some were even missing til I brought it up to his attention. DO NOT eat at Texas Roadhouse in St. George, Utah. I am honestly shocked at how poorly this restaurant handled our experience. This wasn't just slow service--it was a complete breakdown from start to finish, followed by an incredibly dismissive response from management. We waited 40 minutes before any food arrived. When my salad finally came, it had no dressing. The server said "oops" and disappeared. I then had to ask multiple staff members over the next 10 minutes just to get something as basic as dressing. I ordered the Dallas filet mignon, medium rare. It arrived medium. I politely sent it back. The replacement didn't come for another 15-20 minutes--by that point, the rest of our 8-person birthday party had completely finished their meals while I sat there with nothing. To make matters worse, the second steak was also cooked incorrectly. At that point, the entire table was uncomfortable and frustrated. I asked to have the meal removed from the bill--not out of anger, but because the situation had clearly gone off the rails. What happened next was the most upsetting part. When the bill came, they had only partially removed the charge. When I questioned it, the manager actually told me it was because I "ate the potato and salad." That response was not only inappropriate--it showed a complete lack of accountability or basic customer care. This was never about a few dollars. It was about how poorly this situation was handled and how little they seemed to care. I left feeling frustrated, dismissed, and disrespected. There are far too many good restaurants in St. George to spend your time and money at one that treats customers this way. Never again. read more

4.25 stars based on service, food, cost and all around good time. We came here tonight while we were in town and had a very solid dinner. It started with downloading the Texas Roadhouse App and adding our party to the wait list (Pro Tip!) this saved us an hour at the restaurant waiting. Secondly our server DJ was an absolute delight. 10/10! He took care of us all night and went above and beyond the entire night. The rolls cinnamon butter were a hit with the kids, served piping hot. I Had the big boy portion prime rib medium rare and it was absolute perfection! With a side salad with blue cheese and their incredible all beef chili with was an absolute winner! Wide had a sirloin which was dry and tough, don't be lulled by the lower price on this steak. Hard pass. 2 kids had burgers and they cheered the shiz out of them, they could have been juicier but they both liked them. La style the pulled pork sandwhich was HUGE! This was a solid rendition of Carolina's best. Large beer, 5 adult dinners, 2 baskets of rolls...$100. The lowest cost dinner of this stature I can remember. We stopped at tacos El Gordo in Vegas on the way up and spent $90. We will 100% be back and asking for DJ. read more

The nice thing about chain restaurants is that you know what to expect, which is nice for folks who prefer the familiar to the adventurous. Not everyone enjoys the thrill of discovering new places and trying different things. That, and having a Christmas gift card in hand, was the reason for my visit. With Texas Roadhouse, you know you can expect a wait. Check in at the host stand, they'll text you when a table is ready. There's a bit of seating just inside the door, or some more outside the restaurant. If you arrive during the less-than-busy time, you'll only wait a few minutes. You used to be able to grab a handful of peanuts and eat them while you wait, tossing the unwanted shells haphazardly onto the floor. I'd imagine that enough people experience peanut allergies that they made the switch to bagged peanuts at the tables only. Understandable-let's make it more accessible to all. Our service was friendly, although we had to request refills and even though our server offered us more rolls-and we accepted-she never brought them to the table. No worries, who needs all those extra carbs anyway? Bottom line-when I'm given a gift card or when someone in my party prefers a tried-and-true restaurant to something more unknown, I'll probably be back. Yee-haw! read more

Came with my family on a not so busy Monday night. We were seated immediately with the famous bread and butter appetizer. Our server Jesse was a clearly no-nonsense type of guy. He spoke very sternly and it made us a little uncomfortable like he was unhappy we were there. Aside from that, the food is a pretty decent value. Getting two proteins and two sides for under $25 is amazing, and the drinks were delightful and cheap. We got the porch rocker and the Jamaican cowboy and they were great. We both got a 6oz sirloin combo cooked medium but we both received very different sized meat and cooked at very different temps. Mine came to a med rare at best and my husbands was almost well done. Mine was still pretty good and the grilled shrimp is good too with 6 total in the combo. Overall for the price I do recommend coming here. Nothing too fancy just a good dinner with the family. read more

Just wanted to come and say tonight was an easy 11/10!! First, our server (Kusha I believe) was soooo on top of it even tho it was absolutely slammed. Constantly had drinks refilled and even noticed me checking my steak color and was right there to make sure it was perfect (which it was, I was checking it cause I was so happy with how it turned out!) Which leads me to my next person, the chef. Maynor was on deck idk who he is but it's the best damn steak I've had 10/10 And customer service was supreme. Seriously every single waiter/waitress stopped to say hi to my toddler (again, it was Saturday night and slammed) but they still chose to stop and be so sweet! Had an amazing conversation with another worker Shane who was so personable and kind! Just one of those nights a momma needed a break from cooking and got that and more! First time to a Texas Roadhouse and saw the HUGE crowd gathering outside before it opened so decided to join the line and see what the hype is about. Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - ordered a Combo Appetizer and Full Slab Ribs. The complimentary sweet honey butter breads were astonishingly good! Since it's sweet already, there's no need for the cinnamon butter provided. Our server decided what items to get for us in the combo appetizer and we got the boneless buffalo wings, fried pickles, and tater skins. The wings were surprisingly tender and well spiced. The SO loved the fried pickles and the tater skins were on the saltier side but exactly what one could expect from baked potato skins. The ribs were amazing as well since they were fall off-the-bone tender with just the right touch of BBQ sauce. The cup of chili and sweet potato sides were wonderful as well. Service: 5/5 - Maddin was extremely friendly and made perfect recommendations for us. She followed up multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed including all the bread we wanted! The service was extremely quick but we didn't feel rushed. I think from the moment of seating to paying for our check was less than 40 minutes total. Ambiance: 5/5 - large restaurant with plenty of seating but the place was packed within the first 30 minutes of opening. The overall atmosphere is warm and rustic even with the number of servers running food and taking orders all around. Value for price: 5/5 - delicious food, generous portions, super quick service, and friendly atmosphere. First time in ths location. Spacious parking. Ambiance was good. Nice location and easy to find. Got there on a weekday, but seems a busy place, long line to dine in and to reserve for a big group. We were on a family trip, we had had a big party. We called and we cannot be accomodated in one table. But since , we really want to dine and try this location, we agreed to be split up, though near each other. Thanks to Olive or Olivia's warm help on the front, we were able to dine in one table. Shout out to Susana ( if am not mistaken) , and Naya our patient server, coz we kept asking for their fresh bread. It was delish and really fresh! Staff were efficient and attentive to our needs. We appreciate it! We had a good dinner and enjoyed the food. It was sumptous! The combo appetizer was ok though. Fried pickles kinda salty, but ok. Their Bone In riB eye is worth the try & price. After an hour, my son-in-law went to ask how much longer and was told that the hostess couldn't find the name. The hostess told another hostess that she recognized my daughter but couldn't find her number/name on the list. Instead of saying, "we're so sorry, we'll get you seated as soon as possible", we were told, "is it okay if you wait another hour?" What?????? Usually dining alone, I arrive before their weekday opening time and once inside, after giving my name, the wait isn't that long. They attempt to keep the place clean, but it may be difficult with fattened up cattle constantly moving through . Every time I've been here, I seem to always order the big 'Bone-In Ribeye' steak. It's always cooked to my request of Rare. Maybe next time, I will lead my server to the window with all the displayed steaks and point out the one I want! The portions are huge and I always bring home part of it for another meal. I also always bring my own heavy duty plastic containers in a thermal bag, for this reason! That was disappointing. Ordered two 8 oz sirloin steaks. One medium rare, one medium. Both with baked potatoes. One salad and one meal with vegetables. Salad was good. Then the rest of the meal was served. Both baked potatoes were over done and burnt so we asked the server to replace them. Meanwhile we cut into our stakes to discover over-cooked, dry steaks. So the server brought us new potatoes and took our steaks to get a new ones. So, we ate a la carte... the potato, the vegetables while waiting for our entree. They finally showed up and were cooked correctly (close enough) and continued our meal. We came for a nice steak dinner and did not get it this time. I don't want to eat one item at a time or wait and have everything cold and then eat the meat. When finished, we asked for a box for the leftovers. (It just was not appetizing to eat this way so we didn't finish the meal.) They brought out all the food, but the server had somehow put my order in as a 6oz steak, not 16oz. They took it back and promised to rush out my 16oz. Nearly a half hour later, my steak arrived--long after everyone was done eating... the server had also forgotten to put in my side too. No apology, no explanation. Just "here's your steak, enjoy!" Awkward eating alone when everyone else in the group was done. Server didn't seem to care. So much for "rushing" my steak and the "it's on the grill right now". Pretty sure a med-rare steak shouldn't take nearly 30 mins. It also was overcooked when it did arrive! Not this locations finest moment. read more

Had the 16oz Prime Rib and split with husband. I've always loved Texas Roadhouse but will never order Prime Rib again. When it was served at least 4-5oz was fat, then a considerably amount of fat and grizzle around the edges of the remaining piece of Prime Rib. I did speak to the server and told him the chef should be embarrassed to send out a steak like this. He shook his head and apologized as he took the plate of fat away from the table. With Texas Roadhouse's reputation I can't believe they are proud of serving a dinner like that. Anyway, it's filet the next time we go but that will be a while. read more

Finally got to try out Texas Roadhouse!! We were so excited! We just came on Fathers Day.. so.. it was Packed!! We started at a 30-40 min wait, no prob, we had some boba in the shopping center next door while waiting.. it was an hour wait.. but the apps were worth it all. Loved the BREAD they start you right off with and that sweet butter honestly, so good. We ordered the Cactus Blossom (Blooming Onion) it was amazing! So flavorful! Delicious! Wasn't a fan of the dip cause it was horseradishy but yummy with Ranch! I would say those were the star of it all. I also did like the Garden Salad, had boiled egg, shredded cheddar, tomatoes, croutons and their Ranch is good! Our main plates were alright, I felt kind of lacked in flavor and quality.. but they were ok. I had the Country Fried Chicken with Country Gravy.. was one of bland and a little different.. also the mashed potatoes were good just not as expected. We also had a sirloin, medium well but came med rare which was fine, it was good and tender, but the mac was like kraft mac with added white cheddar.. also had the portobello mushroom chicken, which was good. Kids plates were good and very well priced, they didn't even finish their food cause the serving was nice and packed which is a good thing! I would say, when we go back, we'd just go for the apps and atmosphere! The atmosphere was good, prices were good and our server Mayra was really great. So was the young male host, he had a lot on his plate - it was very busy!! Not a great experience. Our sever Hector seemed to have trouble understanding. We asked him 3-4 times for rolls before he said "oh ok I'll get you some". He took our drink order and then seemed to disappear. He finally returned and took our food order. He read everything back but we had multiple missing items. One salad was missing. We had to ask for it. The steak with shrimp didn't come with shrimp. The side of potatoes with bacon and cheese we specifically said no sour cream but they came with sour cream. 3/4 of our steaks were over cooked. The New York 8 oz looked like a 6 oz sirloin. They just kept saying oh that person already picked up the order but um hello I think I know my name! Then the guy working called the person and had them bring the food back!!!!!! When she came back with the food and handed it to them I said um you're having mine remade right and with so much attitude he said this is your food right here. The other lady had already ate half of it and she had stated that to him on the phone! That is beyond disgusting and unsanitary!! Then he sat and went through everything she brought back and was like well the steak wasn't touched do you want that. Like noooooooo wth!!!!!!!! So since they never started my order I had to wait for them to make it after I had been sitting for 20 minutes waiting already ( I figured surely they would've restarted my meal). I sat there for almost an hour before I got my food. someone needs to train him that that is a health code violation to serve food that has already been taken out of the restaurant and to somebody's home to somebody else.. Then after all that the only thing I was given was a $10 coupon. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting that they are reserving food to people. I'm grateful for all the customers that were around and validating how nasty this encounter was because that kid did not care!!! The ONLY good thing was the kind girl that stepped in to fix it. I live an hour away from this location. I had dined here twice before and service and food were great which is why I returned. But, when I went there today for the 3rd time, it was very disappointing to say the least. Got there around 4:05pm, they were busy but not extremely busy. Ordered chicken critters dinner which I had before twice and I ordered again because it was so tasty and well made. We were seated next to a couple with an infant who was also our waitress's customers. She took our order not soon after we were seated. It took 40mins for us to get our food in the end, they weren't anything exotic or difficult food to prepare. Our waitress spent a lot of time paying attention to the husband of the couple and the baby. At one point while the wife took the baby to the bathroom, the waitress sat across from the husband which seemed more like flirting. When the baby came back and was seated in his stroller, waitress even played with the baby, touching the barefoot toes, saying how cute the baby was and making coo sounds to the baby. This happened during the 40mins of our waiting time. She didn't even pay any attention to our seat, not even say as simple as she will check up on our orders. She completely ignored us. The food was finally brought to us by the busboy. My order was missing one of the sides which I later on realized because I was too upset with the experience. Chicken critters we had before were exceptionally good in size and quality of cooking but today, they looked like little chicken fingers made for kids and not as good.
