While in St. George, don't forget to stop by Burger Theory. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food of good quality. The location also had plenty of fun pieces of art on the wall adding to the overall experience. The location was seat yourself and within a minute I had been greeted and a water swiftly brought to me. When my server came to take my order I placed my drink and app. The server had to take the ID to scan behind the bar and he mentioned that it was a state rule. Then when the drink arrived I placed my burger order. The food all came out hot and fresh. The waffle fries were crispy and the dipping sauce elevated the dish even more. The menu is not elaborate, but there can be some good finds at Burger Theory located on the first floor of the Holiday Inn. read more

The burgers are nothing special. One server is very friendly and helpful while the other one had a grumpy attitude the entire time. The restaurant is inside of a Holiday Inn. The booth chairs are so low compared to the table. Maybe some extremely tall people will find the seating situation suitable. All 6 of us grown adults felt like midgets sitting in the booth. We switched to a regular table right away. There's nothing special that would ever draw us back there again. read more

Well, the name does back up their burger. They are still trying to figure out how to make a burger. It was dry as a desert wasteland, but the medium doesn't mean a lack of moisture. It means I don't trust ground beef, and I want to be sure it's not pink. 3 different burgers, all the same fate. Between mine, my sons, and wifey, we all just looked like we were swindled by a burger bandit. I just don't get it. It's a burger. You are not creating this in a lab. You're making it on a grill. The service was spotty. He was attentive when we arrived, and that was all. Just "poof," he gone. Not worth the time or hassle, I'm sure there are plenty of better places. Not to self. Burger was just OK and the onion rings were forgettable...definitely not worth the $17 I was charged. Service was horrible. Food took twice as long as it should have to come out and there were only two other tables occupied when i was there. And the server never came and checked on me at all during the meal and never filled my water. Will not return. read more

I decided to try burger theory after receiving a buy one get one coupon. I ordered the Lonestar burger and chicken tenders. Burger was mediocre with a store bought semi stale bun and bacon made yesterday (chewy). Chicken tenders were an appetizer in itself which would normally cost someone $14. Mine were free with the burger but wouldn't even want them for free. 5 small tenders soggy, greasy and one completely inedible as it was under cooked and stringy. Service was good no issues there. Restaurant was nicely decorated and not ugly. They need to lower their prices ($16 for a single patty burger with fries and $14 for a handful of tiny chicken tenders) or really up their game on food quality. Definitely not worth stopping here unless you are staying at the hotel and need a quick bite with low low expectations. read more

First off, this is the sports bar in the Holiday Inn. That works great for those of us staying here. There is a bar featuring 10 local microbrews plus a bartender that will mix whatever else you want. The menu is basic bar food with a focus on burgers but also other items. My first night there I went with the fish tacos. I was hesitant but they were actually pretty good. My second night I went with the wings. Respectable! Considering that food options in that general area seemed skimpy this worked out as a good solution. My biggest complaint would be the service. It seemed like they were doing other things besides waiting on people. I my second night I ordered a side salad. After nearly 10 minutes the waiter arrived with chips and salsa??? I was told that was because the kitchen is generally behind on Fridays so they gave me a free snack. Maybe 5 other tables were being used. I recommend expecting a longer than expected wait for your food. Also, maybe sitting at the bar would speed things up. Those customers seemed to get more attention. Came on Labor Day and there was only a few other parties there so plenty of distancing. Didn't notice any COVID issues. It's the typical non fast food burger chain like Red Robin. Either you can select from some premade choices or build your own. Prices are a little high, but not too bad. The meal will leave you full. Overall we enjoyed our burgers but there wasn't any wow factor to them; nothing to make us rush back. read more

Since my last review of BT 4 years ago, nothin' had changed...until last night. The burgers, fries, rings and adult beverages survived through a lot over time, but last night was &%$#! The buns were dry, the meat was dry, the veggies were limp, the rings weren't done, the service was slow and the price-over just the last few months-rose from $9 to $15 for the Classic or single with just the basics. I understand an occasional bump, but $6 is ridiculous. Two singles with the basics, one with fries, one with rings, and a 16oz. draft cost $39.33. When you've been a regular and know what you want, checkin' the menu seemed unnecessary. I'll remember that next time we go out, it just won't be at BT again. read more

Burger was a little smaller than expected for the price range, get a double if you're really hongry. I tried the Uptown Portobello, it was more basic than the description made it sound but it was pretty good. Decent battered fries too with a homemade fry sauce. Like the Holiday Inn itself, it was good enough overall but not quite what I expected given the price. Is it better than going down the street to Culvers and spending about half as much for a good burger? We tried their room service in the morning, food comes right on time and hot and fresh. They only have two option for their breakfast room service menu, which is a little bit disappointed, I hope they can put more choice on the menu, But overall, delicious and convenient. I was skeptical at first because it I located in hotel. However the restaurant is a departure from the norm when it comes to hotel restaurants. They have a full bar and table seating. I sat at the bar and staff were friendly and attentive. I was happy they had a hefenweizen beer on tap. Seemed like they were lying to us about food preparation and served other guests before us after already being there for 40+ mins. Absolutely terrible experience. We came in, sat down, and were practically ignored the entire time. When the bartender finally came to greet us, he was obviously frustrated that he had to serve us. He was incredibly inconsiderate and downright rude. I have reason to believe that we were neglected because of our ethnicity. My family were the only minorities in the restaurant, and while others were being served, we were overlooked. I think they need to go back to the drawing board. The burger I had was less than stellar. When I order a rare burger I expect a very pink middle, what I got was either old gray meat or something that was zapped in the microwave. Either way it did not taste as good as some of the other people who have reviewed this place. I did opt for the onion rings and was pleasantly surprised, even thought I do not typically care for thick cut onion rings these were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside - just they way I like them. For dessert I had the Key Lime mason jar, yep desserts come in a mason jar that are about 3" tall. For me this was just OK. The staff was really friendly and the place looked clean. There are restrooms near by for easy access. As others have mentioned this inside the Holiday Inn, just walk past the Holiday Inn Check-In Counter and the entrance to Burger Theory is on your right. read more

Our server was legitimately the most intolerable individual I have ever encountered in my life. I asked him a simple question about the status of my ranch, and he retaliated with the snarkiest and most unprofessional response I have ever heard in a restaurant. He proceeded to not only never deliver the ranch but enlist racist remarks to a coworker just in earshot of our table. Pass on this one. The place seems like it has potential but falls flat. We arrived and put our name on the waitlist at 6:20 p.m., and we were seated at about 7:05 p.m. Expect to wait for your table. We ordered as soon as we could and our food came out 30 minutes later. I ordered the farm burger and my wife ordered the veggie burger. I tried her veggie burger and it lacked any flavor. I was surprised because we tend to like most veggie burgers. On my burger, I requested to have it cooked medium, I asked the waiter if that would be a good decision and he said that he never orders under medium as he doesn't like anything too rare. My burger came out and looked well cooked, but by the time I got a couple bites into it I could tell that it was pretty pink inside. I asked for someone to call my server over and had him look at my burger and he said it was cooked the way it should be. I decided to take another couple bites, but by the time I was close to the middle it was raw. I then had our waiter come over again and told him it was way undercooked, showed him the burger again and he said "oh that's too bad, are you guys ready for your check?"
