08/15/26: I brought my guy into this restaurant to celebrate his birthday...nice place but overall, we were let down by the service. I told the person I made the reservation that I was going to be there for a birthday dinner, with the intent of having a great time. First of all, the server Domonic, was stiff....he didn't check on me or my partner other than to ask us to cut into our steaks when we got them. My guy's steak was not as he wanted....he wanted it cooked medium, he got almost rare....it had to get sent back...then a drink I ordered, a painkiller, tasted watery...and the Diet Coke my guy wanted had a strange taste. When I asked for another drink, the answer was quick and terse..."we don't give free refills" Wow!.......it's as if he wanted us to leave immediately and had the to go containers at the ready....(was it because my partner and I are an interracial couple?) (he had a bad day? ) (who knows) The interaction with the server felt off from the beginning. The place is nice, but I felt let down. Unbeknownst to the restaurant, they had a celebrity in their midst.....Olympic athlete, gold medal winner....not naming him unless asked.... I am in the area and found this Rib & Chop House oasis. Not only are the staff and waiters great, but the food was exceptionally delicious. Our fantastic waitress Mylene told us about the daily specials and she did a wonderful job with the flavor descriptions and entree highlights. Mylene brought me a refill of my tea before I could ask :-). Mylene was great! I will return to this place for the grilled fish and flavor infused chicken. Love this place. Stop here every time I'm in town. This particular visit I had the t-bone pork chop with carrot soufflé while my wife had the 15 oz NY strip with potatoes au gratin Service is always good, food always delicious Pork chop was cooked perfectly medium and was so tender and delicious My wife wasn't going to get the strip cause she didn't think she'd eat it all but I told her to get it figured I'd be able to have a little. Wrong, she chowed the whole thing. You had choice of soup or salad so I got the salad while the wife got the bison chili Something got messed up and all the food came out together. How do you mess up a simple cocktail? For the last night in St. George, we decided to go to one of my parents' favorite places. The food is great. Based on that alone, I would give this place a 5, but unfortunately, everything else was below par. The service was slow, as was every other restaurant in St. George. I ordered a Manhattan, and lo and behold, I received some type of smoked old fashioned. When I asked for a new one, Dom, our waiter, said, "Sure, but you'll probably just get the same thing." That surprised me, and I was like, "Go talk to the bartender and see if they can make it." But Dom was pretty certain that, I'd get the same thing. So I ordered something else, and it came out fine. Dom, while new, was not a very good waiter and could use some more training in customer service and in cocktails. His attitude completely ruined the night. read more

Burger undercooked. Fries cold and over-seasoned. Gumbo over-salted. Prices up. Service down. 15-20 minute wait when there were at least eight open tables in dining room readily visible. Don't ask for bread, they now charge for two burnt pieces of supposedly garlic bread, rather than the rolls that you had to has for but at least they were free. I've ate here twice before this and had very good experiences. Not this time, we got seated quickly and ordered drinks, ice tea for me and a cocktail for her. Our waitress seemed impaired to be honest. She brought my iced tea and totally blew off her cocktail. We ordered food and when the food came we had to ask about her cocktail, and got a very a confused look. She went to the bar and came back a bit later with her cocktail AFTER we had already finished eating. Natalie, our server, helped make our dining experience top tier with her friendliness and attention to detail. If we ever pass through here again, we will ask to be seated at her table. Au gratin potatoes also Very good choice with dinner. green beans a little to crisp for our taste. Good atmosphere seating well spread out from other tables. I came here for a business meeting, and it was a great experience. We had a smaller, curated menu to accommodate a larger group, which worked perfectly. The salmon was cooked beautifully very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The salad was incredibly fresh, and everything felt well thought out. The staff was especially accommodating and attentive, which made hosting a group easy and enjoyable. I'm done with Rib & Chops! We just wanted to know if their beef was local, our waitress didn't know so she had to ask. What unraveled was the most unprofessional experience I've encountered as a guest at a restaurant. The waitress stood in the doorway while another employee (male) said: " and if they want to know where the fish comes from, tell them the ocean!" She bent over in laughter, I was shocked and hurt. Excellent service and food was served hot and steak temperature was perfect. The salad was served on very little boat shaped plates. But we managed. I got shrimp and chicken tenders. I was a little disappointed it only came with 2 chicken tenders, but they were nice and juicy. The fried shrimp that it came with were delicious also. I loved how it wasn't overly breaded. My sister got the blackened fish tacos and she liked them. She said she would give it a 3.5/5. Good, but not super flavorful. Wow! What a disaster. First, they sat us in a section that the server had left. Luckily, another server saw it and came to our rescue after 15 minutes. (It was 8:30 pm on a Tueday). We ordered their house margarita which were mostly ice, bitter and undrinkable. My wife and I had their ribs that are supposed to be their specialty. Hers were good, but mine were burnt, dry, devoid of meat, and literally half the size of my wife,s order in length and width. (The manager said that was the way the meat came and wasnt their fault.). The other couple got a French dip and chicken tenders. The tenders were burnt and sent back immediately. The au jus was heavily salted but the sandwich was good. Our server was great and we tipped her appropriately. But there are major back of the house issues, and a clueless manager. I hope someone gets the message and straightens things out. read more

So I was staying in St. George for work, my hotel was right next-door to ribs and chop. So I thought I'd give it a try. I saw that they have elk, I've never had it and have always wanted to try it so I gave it a try. When I arrived, I was greeted quickly by the hostess and the manager. I was seated in the bar, which I was OK with waitress came by. I ordered my elk and came with two sides. I took a Caesar salad and a carrot soufflé. The first Caesar salad that came to me was pathetic. The dish in which it came in was warm and the salad itself was wilting and was brown. The managing he by saw that I hadn't eaten. It asked me what the problem was. I explained to him he wasn't happy. He told me he would bring me a new one. He brought me a new one. The plate was ice cold the lettuce was fresh and cold. This one was edible. I received my entrée and I have to say the elk was very good however, I noticed that on the backside of the sliced elk, it looked like they had put it into a sauté plan to warm up the steak as the steak wasn't very warm the cream spinach was excellent. However, the carrot soufflé was anything but a carrot soufflé. It was so sweet from the added brown sugar that when the waitress asked me if I wanted a dessert, I told her I already had it with the carrot soufflé, the ambience of the place is very nice. You feel like you're in a lodge in the mountains. Overall, I didn't think the food was all that good for the price that they are charging. People at work were surprised at what I had told them as they told me that the food there has always been very good, who knows maybe I was at an off night read more

I kind of wanna give them a lower star rating, because they screwed up my wine order so badly, but their cuts of meat and the freshness of their food really does make up for the absolutely terrible table service they offer. I've come here twice, and the first time we ate inside, we were not impressed by the service, nor the ambience of the interior of this chop house. It reminiscent of a post-industrial hotel lobby. But as we left that evening, we noticed that the patio was kind of rad. Plus, you can bring your dog. We knew we would be back. Any place that allows you to have your pet on the patio while you eat an amazing steak is my kind of place. The ambience on the patio is so good. We brought our dog the second time, and Lucky just had the BEST day. And they were totally understanding that he was being a little bit of a weirdo as he lurched through the restaurant door on his way to the patio, so they earned extra stars for that. I felt bad for my very nice server, but he just doesn't seem like he really understands the importance that a well-timed glass of quality wine served with someone's food - actually juuuuust before the food arrives - makes a meal that much better. One drinks wine with their food, not after. After waiting over an hour on the beautiful patio for our dinner order, we only got a glass of wine because we reminded him as he served our food. It took an additional 15 to 20 minutes after my entree had been served, and it looked like it had been sadly plopped into an unpolished water cup, and was just kind of gross to drink. I guess this is the kind of place that figures wine exists to get drunk on, and not to enhance food. I still like the food here because the cuts of meat are amazing, and the sides are fresh prepared. Wife and I both ordered filets, both were about 1/2 inch think and cooked well done, which neither of us ordered them that way. It really looked liked they cut a nice thick steak in half. The Rib and Chop House is without a doubt the best restaurant you're going to find. We were early but our wait-person, "Monica" said, "You look familiar...this isn't your first time here, is it?" No, it wasn't our first time but this would be our now, best time! Monica was lovely, attentive and made us feel special! My wife ordered the salmon; I went with the pork chop. Neither was the loser - both were superb! The nice thing about the Rib & Chop House is that it isn't pretentious. We were dressed casually and were still seated at a wonderful table. Drinks came fast and when Monica brought the plates, you could hear the chop sizzling! It's not just a good place to eat - it's a great place to eat. Get off I-15 and spend an hour with them. When am I going to learn my lesson. I need to start looking at reviews before I eat at restaurants. I ordered a filet mignon medium and it came almost well. The beautiful waitress who was wonderful had it re-ordered and it came back medium rare on a sizzling plate so instead of returning it, because my husband was almost done with his meal, I just finished cooking the filet mignon on the plate in the greasy butter. I really wanted the pork chop, especially since the place is called chops and they were already out of them at 7 PM. The service was great, but I would not recommend this restaurant and feel bad for the servers who have to serve this chef's food. read more

It's a clean, pleasant restaurant. Had the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer. It was very good. Then we shared a rib eye which was the right idea. The steak was more than enough.
