The food is good but the service failed big time. Time to set some rules. It all starts with management. Start with a 2 min rule. Great your customers within 2 min of being sat. Not 9. 2 min food must go out when in the window. 2 min to follow up with customer after food delivered. 2 min to clear plates when done eating. Our food must have taken over 25 min after ordering. Asked to get it togo. Server put no utensils in togo bag. She was so bad. As a former restaurant gm i always tip at least 15 percent even when bad service is given. This was the only time i have ever stiffed a server in my life. We ate as we golfed and the food was pretty good. Had to share my experience with some of the staff. Such a stunning view and beautiful place! Absolutely loved the pineapple mimosa. The ambience was beautiful, the server was great. However, we had a couple of orders of chicken fried steak and eggs. Ordered over a medium eggs and the eggs came out over hard. The sausage gravy was literally cold and the hashbrowns had no crisp. They were pretty limp and somewhat cold as well. We advised the server and she did bring out some gravy that was piping hot. We will definitely give it a second try down the road. The place is great. We haven't been there for a while. We just live down the street the Service was really good but the food needs some serious improvement. We walked into The Grille with a party of 20. The host was able to accommodate our party in 20 mins. Plenty of parking available. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The views are amazing and better during the sunset. I ordered the devils throat burger with truffle fries, and a glass of the Cabernet - Josh. We also ordered the guac with chips, sliders (pull pork) and other plates. The sliders were really good. We had a bit of a delay during payment, but nothing that would turn me away from returning. Waited over 90 minutes for our food. Reservation was at 4:15, food didn't hit table until 6pm. Not to mention the food that we ordered was almost all wrong. They told us they ran out of mozzarella cheese on Valentine's Day (2 days ago). We ordered one of our pizzas without cheese (allergy), despite them being "out of cheese for pizzas", the pizza did in fact, come with cheese on it. Burgers were dry. Salads didn't come with chicken breasts that we ordered. I would show a little bit of grace if it were a packed night. It wasn't at all. We were one of 4 tables total. When we asked the host about our food, he said "I don't know, I'm just the host and the kitchen staff isn't great". Manager came and apologized and owned up to it and comped our bill. This place has the potential to be fantastic but staff areas are lacking. Beer is usually barely below room temp, and is food mediocre. Staff can be attentive at times but make you feel like you should be grateful they are attending to you. The location and view is amazing, and looking out over the course is beautiful. We've been semi regular customers here for the past few years. This New Year's Eve we rented a condo, and reserved a table for 8 at the restaurant. Normally we wouldn't rent a condo, but it's our son's 18th birthday celebration, and he has a friend in town. We wanted this to be special. We were seated very quickly. The restaurant was still mostly empty. Music hadn't started. While we were ordering drinks and appetizers, the musician turned some music on. His amplifiers weren't up to the task, and the music was distorted, and really just disruptive and horrible. A few minutes later he got his guitar and started playing and maybe singing? It was so distorted, that it was basically unintelligible gibberish. We asked our waitress to have him turn it down. We think she did so. By this time, the restaurant is full, and the entire place is yelling, in order to hear what the people at their table is saying. We asked for the manager. We explained that we thought the music was obnoxious. Of course she asked us to repeat ourselves, before agreeing and saying that she had told someone else that people were going to be upset. She then walked over to the guy, and said something to him. It was between songs, so we assumed he turned the volume down when he turned around and did something to his amplifiers. Unfortunately, he either turned it up, or did nothing. The restaurant apparently had zero say about how loud he wanted the music. I walked out. They didn't charge me for my $19 hamburger, but it wasn't about $20. It was my son's 18th birthday celebration. He won't have another, and we won't be back. We ate at the Grille twice - once for dinner, once for lunch. The staff was SO nice and helpful both times. The food was great for dinner. But my salad for lunch had mold on the berries. Clean .Service was fast and friendly. Beautiful views. Just had the wings and Devil Throat burger. Wings were tasty, a bit too much breading , but good. The burger was probably the worst "Grille" burger" I've ever had. I love burgers and try many different ones in many different places. This one appeared to try to be a smash burger. It was smashed all right. No char almost looked boiled, and no flavor. They tried to make up for it by putting about 4 sliced jalapeños on it. That's didn't work. Disappointing. What is happening here? A year ago this place was fantastic and could not wait to come back. There were so many people there. It was packed last year. Long waitlist to get in. It was great one year later. Oh how it has changed. On a Saturday night at 8 PM there were barely 4 tables being used. That's a bad sign at any restaurant on a Saturday night. Sure enough, the lack of people was the correct indicator. All the food came out either overcooked cold and just plain not tasty. This place is definitely taking a turn for the worse. Our families experience started out rough, and we weren't ever gonna come back. Once the kitchen manager realized what was going on, she instantly started making it right. She attended to our table, and made sure we had everything we needed. We ended up getting our meal for free, and everything turned out great. Just tasted like dry nasty chips . Mini slider cheese burgers- BLAND with stale buns and no sauce in burger.
