One of their own creations is the Kolob which is an oatmeal cookie crust, cream cheese, and fruit layer. In addition, muddy bees offers gluten free options from bread to cookies. While they are not a gluten free kitchen/establishment, they do offer options to accommodate those with intolerances. The inside has several tables and chairs for guests who wish to enjoy their pastries, breads, and coffee inside. In addition, they have local artisan made options for purchase. Fantastic experience!! I needed a German Chocolate Cake for a friend and was able to order it through them. Everything is done through email which I think is very convenient. Their prices are very reasonable for custom orders. When I told them that I needed to travel with it from Hurricane, UT to Duck Creek, UT, they emailed me to let me know they could freeze it for me! That way I would just need to put it in a cooler and I would be good to go! They were right! I will update with pictures when I get them from my friend. Came here for Zion, but was super excited to try their raspberry cinnamon roll! I got there right at opening and the shop is super cute, staff very helpful in recommending other food items. They also had a good selection of gluten free options. The cinnamon roll was excellent, and massive! The roll itself was very soft and the frosting complimented the raspberry well. I got my boyfriend a banana muffin, and even though he procrastinated eating it until a few days later, he said it was the best banana muffin he's ever had. I usually make my own from scratch and didn't think anything could beat homemade, but these are just as good--without all the effort. As soon as I walked in I knew I was in trouble: they have the cutest little boutique items and local goods scattered throughout the store. Dangerous! I wish I could've bought one of everything at the bakery! They are known for their giant cinnamon or raspberry rolls as well as their "Kolob" bars. M group rents a house and I have supplied bakery items every year from here. Muddy Bees Bakery had excellent customer service and the process was easy & clear for a custom cake. I spoke with the cake decorator, Isabel through email before my trip. I sent some inspiration and they made a beautiful cake for a 30th birthday. It was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the cake, filling, and frosting. I love that they have local honey. I come to muddy bees quite regularly and felt it was time to write a review. I am from out of town so I'll usually call ahead to place my order. I would encourage calling ahead especially if you are looking for something in particular. This week was peach days and they had a variety of peach desserts to choose from. I picked up the peach cinnamon roll, the peach pull apart bread, and the peach cheesecake. Honestly everything here is always amazing. The last time I was in town they had their strawberry cheesecake and that's my favorite. It's not a typical heavy cheesecake, more like a custody type of a cheesecake. Trust me just get it. Their bread is always really good, their cookies are delicious, and the cheesecake is divine. This is a must stop any time I'm in town. Definitely give this place a try. I know you can also order sandwiches and lunches to go. I have not done this but, that would be great idea especially if you're going to go out hiking or doing some kind of adventure. This bakery was truly one of the best finds while staying a night here in Hurricane, Utah! We were looking for breakfast before we hit Zion National Park and didn't want to do traditional drive-thru. They went into details about the business making their own breads fresh and having the most amazing tasting cinnamon roll. Well I was sold! We went in, ordered a couple of sandwiches, and of course the Cinnamon roll. THE CINNAMON ROLL WAS HUGE!!! This place is like a museum, bakery and coffee shop in one! In an unassuming plaza in Springdale, Utah, there's Muddy Bees Bakery. You can see the staff baking the assortments and the bees at work making the honey. The drinks are great and there are lots of souvenirs such as honey, necklaces, candles you can take home. Prices are very affordable. We got a Muddy Pie which was AMAZING. It was also a generous size that I was able to share with another person and have leftovers too! Utah is known as the Beehive State, so in touristy Springdale why are there no shops selling local honey? Seriously, a bunch of magnets and socks but not much local goods. Fortunately, we asked the staff at our motel about finding local honey and she pointed us towards Muddy Bees and emphasized to get the 'Pizza Twists.' Muddy Bees is in the corner of a strip mall and there was plenty of parking to be had. When we walked in in the late afternoon there was one other person there so we got to ask a lot of questions. The beehive was right in store to check out-and the honeys are to the right as you enter. Go for the local stuff, it's a little pricier but for the sheer amount you get it's a no-brainer. Baked good wise-Yelp has a free cookie check in, so be sure to use that. They run out pretty quick but my favorite, chocolate chip was still available and got a cinnamon roll too because the giant things looked too good to pass up. We asked about the pizza twist and she said 'we don't have something like that but people like the cheese twist bread and we can give you marinara.' Sure, sounded about right. We started eating in the car and it seemed like everything was gone pretty quick. The cheese twist with marinara-was warm and the sauce cut through the richness of the bread. The cinnamon roll, huge as it was did not skimp out on the taste-although eating it in the car was a chore, it was worth the effort. Definitely worth stopping into when you're in the area. read more
