Bonrue bakery is an adorable bakery located about 30 minutes from Zion National Park. I came into Bonrue because I wanted to try something different for coffee than my normal spot. When I arrived, parking was limited in the Bonrue lot, but there was plenty of parking on the street. When I arrived in they had cases and cases of options, something for everyone. They offered sandwiches, sweet pastries, and savory pastries. They have employees ready to help each group 1:1 which makes the like go fairly quick. I decided to order an almond croissant and a salted honey latte. The almond croissant was not too strong in the almond flavor, but offered the perfect balance of almond, sweet, and crunchy. The salted honey latte was really good, slightly too salty in my opinion. However, I was not disappointed. The inside offers several seating options great for a small group of individuals. However there was not any seating offered outside, but there's a nearby park. read more

Very pleasant atmosphere and endless menu options. Everything looked fresh and inviting. I had the ham croissant, which was good, and a honey latte. Even with three shots of espresso, the coffee wasn't as strong as I expected. One thing I still don't understand is why businesses are still charging extra for oat milk. Also, they could reduce waste and be more environmentally friendly considering the beautiful area they're at. They served a single croissant in a huge box, which felt completely unnecessary. I spotted this cute French bakery while sitting in the park and decided to stop in. What a treat! The moment you walk in, your eyes will be bigger than your stomach when you see all of the delicious looking pastries on display. Everything looked fresh and tempting, making it hard to choose just one thing. I ordered the Black Forest ham sandwich on a freshly baked baguette, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and tasted like something you'd find in a bakery in Paris. The ingredients were fresh, and the sandwich was simple yet full of flavor. I also tried the brownie, which was rich and delicious without being overly sweet a perfect balance. What a beautiful pastry shop. The inside was modern and clean and very inviting. Stopped by for a visit after leaving Zion and left satisfied with everything we ordered. The must haves: Chocolate chip cookie and the Chocolate Kouign Amann. I'm a huge chocolate fan and these two have been perfected by Bonrue. The employees were super patient and understanding with all the questions I had. I didn't find the key lime tart to be too exciting. It wasn't as sour/tart as I assumed it would be. The cold foam lemonade was really nice and refreshing too. House made lemonade with a creamy finish. Overall, I would put this place on my must visit on my Zion trips!! read more

My friend asked to stop here on our way through to Cedar City. I only ate a piece of pizza which was cold but the flavor and texture of the crust was great. At our destination I tried a piece she had bought of strawberry rhubarb pie and it was so good. On the way home she asked to stop again and I got more strawberry rhubarb pie, carrot cake and apple pie. I brought it to my friend's house for a thanksgiving in August meal. They went totally crazy for the carrot cake. Apple pie was not great (but I had asked the girl behind the counter and she had said it wasn't a popular food there. So that's on me.) I will definitely be stopping here again when I'm in the area to get more of the 2 items I liked and to try other items people liked. Oh! Bonrue is true!!! They live by their motto of "Passion through Pastry!" We discovered this amazing bakery while driving to Zion and I am so glad!! I couldn't resist and ordered a variety of pastries! The pastries were all so delicious and my family all enjoyed them!!! My faves were the strawberry rhubarb pie (couldn't get enough of it), lemon bar, blackberry tart, and brownie. But really, I don't think you can go wrong with any pastry from here! I love how they sell locally roasted coffee beans (got a bag for the husband) and the bakery was started by three amazing chefs/restauranteurs from Vegas!! Woot, woot~~ The customer service was genuine and much appreciated! The young lady who helped me had just started working there and she was the sweetest gal ever!! Super cute location. I usually visit the other one in St.George, however we were on our way back from Zion and was super convenient. I arrived around 315 ish and forgot they closed at 4. They still have a decent selection of items and ones that I wanted. The staff was super nice and very clean inside. I ordered a few things to take back to Vegas. If you love sweets this place is for you. We found it trying to look for someplace to grab a meal. Road trip back to LA and this place was along the way. Right when you walk jn, you are greeted with a display case of beautiful pastries and artisan sandwiches. A clean modern layout with the food being the show stopper. There's also coffee drinks as well. With all great reviews, it's no wonder they are amazing. Just standing there and looking at everything was so sinful. You literally want everything. And of course my sweet tooth went for a few pieces. The banana bread slice, chocolate chip cookie, a custard cream filled donut, blueberry loaf slice, carrot cake slice and a blueberry croissant. Sugar rush much. Everything in that counter looked amazing but I had to limit myself. Of course I couldn't wait to try some of the items. The slices of cakes were AMAZING.... I stopped at Bonrue several times during my week housesitting down the street in Hurricane. I loved their sandwiches and sweet treats. In addition to having a vast array of items to choose from, they also have a nice drink menu. There is a cute seating area to enjoy your food in the restaurant as well. Amazing customer service by the team here. We were greeted right when we entered the store and it was very clean. We were helped from the beginning to the end. Here in hurricane for a week to explore Zion and it's almost dangerous that Bonrue is so close to our Airbnb. Their pastries are DELICIOUS! So far we've had the vanilla cronut twice, the chocolate sprinkle donut twice, the guava donut, the lemon meringue donut, the s'mores cookie, and the gluten free lemon bar and they are all some of the best we've ever had. 10/10 on taste for sure. We've also had the cold brew and cold brew with sweet cream and yum to both. Our family of 6 has been welcomed with big smiles and hello agains every time we've walked in and we've felt very welcomed back. This is a really cute local spot that feels like a hidden gem of a local bakery and coffee shop. They had pizza, sandwiches, salads and other freshly baked foods available as well so not just sweets that we'll have to try next time we're in. read more

Since we were here last time they have changed their name from Farmstead to Bonrue. It doesn't matter the name on the building their food is always fantastic! The restaurant is very clean and has both indoor and outdoor seating. All the staff is knowledgeable about the products and they are very friendly and helpful to the customers. Just wow! My girlfriend and I came here for Thanksgiving weekend to visit Zion National Park, and stumbled across this gem. Located in a small town but the flavors and texture were big and mighty. I was greeted by a nice baker and she helped me decide between the milk chocolate and blueberry croissant. We ordered the Blueberry croissant and a guava cheese danish. Superb!!! I'm obsessed with this place. Haven't been to Utah in over a year so the name change was new to me, and this location in Hurricane was new as well. I'm so glad there are more locations now though, as this one is closer to where we stay when we come to visit. I am a HUGE fan of the Quiche - I literally rave about it in CA where I live, and tell anyone and everyone who may be driving through St George (now I'll include Hurricane and Springdale) about it. I'm not Quiche expert, I just love theirs. But also the pastries and other food are all so good. I always have received great service as well - always greeted and helped with a smile and great conversation while being helped. At the St. George location, last year when visiting, the employee helping us told us they used to live in CA near where we live so we chatted about CA. This time, I raved to the employee about how excited I was about this new location and the Quiche! Haha Chatted some and found out she was the General Manager of the location (I believe that's her role - Daren - she was amazing and so sweet!). I liked the ambiance and environment on the St. George location and I feel the same way too now of the Hurricane location as well. Not from around the area, just visiting the national parks and so glad that we were able to discover Bonrue Bakery! It was so good, that we made arrangements the next day to make sure that the bakery was en route of where we were headed to next. First things first, we loved the Caprese sandwich ($9.50) so much, that we ate it for breakfast and got one to go to enjoy later in the day for our hike. The bread was fresh and soft and unlike any bread we've tried in the past! They had an arrangements of baked goods, pies, cheesecake, donuts and other breakfast menu items like the quiche! One thing I loved was the chocolate Kouign-Amann -- truly the best we've ever had! Still dreaming of how good it tastes because there's nothing that compares! I was really excited to see this location in Hurricane and couldn't wait to try it. I was really hoping for a calm place to relax, eat, sip, maybe even read my book. Unfortunately, this is not the place for that. I wasn't greeted by either of the employees working. If you're indecisive as to what to get like I was and hoping for some guidance from the employees, that won't happen either. It would be great to have knowledgeable staff so they can recommend items. I felt rushed to make a decision because they were just staring at me and a line was forming behind me. Every table was incredibly dirty with crumbs everywhere. The first table I chose was broken on the bottom and my items almost fell on the floor. The metals chairs are horribly LOUD when moved on the floor. Every time someone moves the slightest, the chairs screech for the entire place to hear. It's so distracting and couldn't wait to finish my sandwich and leave. This is the best bakery in Hurricane! We came here two days in a row because it was one of the best shops in town that open at 6am and still have a wide selection of items available that early in the morning. Both days we arrived when they opened and got breakfast and also lunch to pack as lunch on the trail for the day. The service was incredibly fast and the same lady who helped us out was very kind. She even wrapped out sandwiches that we wanted to save for the trail. The tabernacle croissant was my favorite item I tried during my trip. The vanilla bean custard inside was incredible and magical. I never loved a pastry item so much in my life. I wish I got it again the second day. The almond croissant, vanilla kroughnut, and vegetable quiche was also amazing. The cinnamon roll was good but I thought the glaze frosting on top was too sweet for me. The egg salad sandwich was delicious although the croissant sandwich part had a bit too much everything bagel seasoning which made some bites very salty but I still very much liked it. For lunch to-go, I got the chicken salad sandwich which was just heaven after being halfway into a hike. Best croissant sandwich ever.
