I REALLY wanted to love or even like this place....but I can only give an honest 3 stars. We drove up from Vegas for the day for a hike and I had searched ahead of time on Yelp for the right spot to fill our bellies after a day of hiking. The reviews looked promising and mostly I had my eye on the Cinnamon Roll. We came in w an appetite expecting a friendly greeting and very homey feel re decor and vibe. We got the homey decor vibe but the poor server was by herself and very busy. So no greeting. Not her fault at all. We sat by the door w another couple waiting to be seated. After she sat them and settled up a few checks we were sat. She was very polite and attentive despite how busy she was. We placed our order and anticipated it would take a while since she was on her own. Surprisingly our food came relatively quick. I ordered the TX taco salad. I asked for the pita on the side instead of on the bottom so it wouldn't get soggy. The cook misunderstood and put EVERYTHING on the side in little cups. I was brought a sad plate of lettuce w the pita on top and little cup of bland chili, shredded cheese, onions, salsa, & sour cream all separate on the side. It wasn't the end of the world but not at all what I expected. The chili was lukewarm warm, not great but the pita was tasty. I mean, pretty hard to mess up fried anything though. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and he liked his meal. He's pretty easy to please. After being so disappointed in my food I backed out on ordering the cinnamon roll. I was afraid I'dbbe just as disappointed. This review is in no way a reflection of our server. She was all by herself and hustled the whole time. She was also incredibly sweet. Sorry WWD, we will won't be back.

Came here for breakfast on our way home from Zion. Got seated right away and had our orders taken quickly, super kind staff. A party of 11 came in after us and I think that's why we felt a little rushed out at the end. Overall great portions and hearty meals! They also have fun specialty drinks, we tried the blackberry and vanilla sprite, 10/10 would recommend!

The Wagon Wheel Diner is a small strip mall gem in ST George, Utah. Do not judge this book by its cover. At first glance the Wagon Wheel seems pretty unassuming from the outside and the inside has an old West meets diner vibe. The wait staff and host were great. The right level of polite and fun and they were great with the kids. This is a locals joint that is very visitor friendly. Classic breakfast and lunch place with breakfast served until they close. Pancakes, home fries, eggs and biscuits were all winners. This breakfast is simple food done the right way. Reminded me of when dad would make breakfast on a Saturday morning if we didn't have a game or event to be at. Simple, good portions and good food. Before we left the table my son said "I wasn't expecting a lot but it was really good, I'd like to come back". Enough said. Give Wagon Wheel a try over your chain breakfast places when you are in town.

This place is a Hidden Gem, When in St George stop in, This place has many Great Food offerings, and Savannah is such a great host and server, Very kind polite and makes her rounds checking all the customers seated and eating. Love the country vibes and Great Service.

It can be tough picking a place to eat, especially when you are not familiar with the area....let alone state. I try to pick local spots since you can indulge in franchisees anywhere. Very happy with this diner, plenty of food options and the service made you feel like a local. Went with the Hoss burger with fries and a side of ranch. The burger was a generous size, hoagie bread and didn't overload on the onions which I appreciated. The ranch was fire, on that wingstop ranch level, but only kicker were the fries. They did have the option for sweet potato tots, which I regret not picking. If I am ever back in town, definitely have to stop in again and try those tots. The service was friendly and prompt, the type that will check on you when needed, but not bombard you! Something to look forward to next time I'm in St. George.

I love finding family run businesses when traveling so we were delighted to try this diner. The 5 stars were definitely due to our interactions with Savannah - she definitely made our day. I also loved learning her grandma is the owner and cook! Awesome. They are very accommodating to special orders. I had the redneck Benedict which is sausage and egg on biscuits and gravy. My egg was poached perfectly, but the gravy needed seasoning. Normally I would have taken a star off for the gravy miss, but did I mention how delighted we were with the service? They deep fried our hash browns and gave the Hubbs a burger patty with his combo breakfast. We loved the rustic and patriotic theme of the restaurant as well. The place is worn but clean. Definitely a new "must stop". The menu is big!!!

They replaced the meal, but that should never have made it out of the kitchen. On my most recent visit, I ordered a roast beef sandwich. The meat had a strange sticky texture, that I later noticed after 55% completed and later that day I developed severe stomach pain and digestive issues. I hadn't eaten anything else that day, so I was very concerned. To make matters worse, communication with several staff members was difficult because of the language barrier. I had trouble explaining my order and asking questions, which only added to the frustration. A restaurant that's built around the image of a classic American 1950s diner should deliver good food, good service, and clear communication with its customers. Unfortunately, my experiences have fallen well short of that. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

This visit, driving back to LA from Monument Valley. Also made a pit stop for gas. The location is just off the freeway in a little strip with a hotel. Which I've stayed at and tried this place for the first time. It's alway packed here so it's a good thing for them. It was about 30 minutes wait when we walked in but got seated around 10 minutes later. Busy of course. Menu wise, there's literally everything on it. It's like reading a newspaper. There was three of us and a mixture of meals was had. I alway love the chicken fried steak here. It's a massive potion so be warned. There's a smaller order but why not go big. That's served with gravy, house potatoes or hash browns, eggs and biscuits. The biscuits alone is the size of a baseball. Then the tri tip meal with onion rings and cole slaw. And a chicken Cobb salad. Let me just say, the size of the salad was enough to feed 2 maybe 3 people. It was enormous. Food wise, everything was good. The only thing this time, the chicken fried steak was a bit overcooked and crunchy. Even with the gravy, it was still too much. But besides that, the meal was nice. Service was amazing. Our waitress was excellent. Don't remember her name but she was so sweet and friendly. Refills were always touched up without asking. Everyone working was a doll. You pay at the register up front where there's also a little gift shop with everything. Apparels, toys, souvenirs, slippers down to boxers and pajamas. So it's like a must each time we past through this area.
