Just as described o.n menu and portions just right. The service wasn't the best, we had to ask for our coffee to be refilled and the server forgot my toast. We had to flag down someone for both the coffee refill and to ask for my toast. The diner was not busy and I am disappointed that the server was not attentive. You know normally guest are served and then the server checks back after a few minutes to see if you need anything else. Well not the case here.

They replaced the meal, but that should never have made it out of the kitchen. On my most recent visit, I ordered a roast beef sandwich. The meat had a strange sticky texture, that I later noticed after 55% completed and later that day I developed severe stomach pain and digestive issues. I hadn't eaten anything else that day, so I was very concerned. To make matters worse, communication with several staff members was difficult because of the language barrier. I had trouble explaining my order and asking questions, which only added to the frustration. A restaurant that's built around the image of a classic American 1950s diner should deliver good food, good service, and clear communication with its customers. Unfortunately, my experiences have fallen well short of that. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

This visit, driving back to LA from Monument Valley. Also made a pit stop for gas. The location is just off the freeway in a little strip with a hotel. Which I've stayed at and tried this place for the first time. It's alway packed here so it's a good thing for them. It was about 30 minutes wait when we walked in but got seated around 10 minutes later. Busy of course. Menu wise, there's literally everything on it. It's like reading a newspaper. There was three of us and a mixture of meals was had. I alway love the chicken fried steak here. It's a massive potion so be warned. There's a smaller order but why not go big. That's served with gravy, house potatoes or hash browns, eggs and biscuits. The biscuits alone is the size of a baseball. Then the tri tip meal with onion rings and cole slaw. And a chicken Cobb salad. Let me just say, the size of the salad was enough to feed 2 maybe 3 people. It was enormous. Food wise, everything was good. The only thing this time, the chicken fried steak was a bit overcooked and crunchy. Even with the gravy, it was still too much. But besides that, the meal was nice. Service was amazing. Our waitress was excellent. Don't remember her name but she was so sweet and friendly. Refills were always touched up without asking. Everyone working was a doll. You pay at the register up front where there's also a little gift shop with everything. Apparels, toys, souvenirs, slippers down to boxers and pajamas. So it's like a must each time we past through this area.

Overall it was good but I wish it had alittle more flavor so I just added more salt/pepper etc. The place got busy fairly quick with multiple families coming in. The service was mid just because they did not fill out waters once and checked on us once as well. (Took our order, brought our food, and gave us a the check) Overall I give them a 4/5 and would try again when in town.

Doesn't really match the vibe. The service was very good and both times, the staff was very nice. I did not care for the food, but my husband liked his. First night I ordered a glass of wine and a baked potato. It was ok. Kinda hard and not much flavor. I could tell it was microwaved. The second day I ordered the small dinner pot roast and potatoes with grave on the side. The dish came with the gravy on it, she offered to have it fixed, but the time it took the food to come out, we didn't have time. The potatoes and green beans were good but the pot roast was terrible. I forgot to take pics of the food. My husband got steak and eggs both times and he enjoyed it. We were visiting from Vegas, so can't say we will be back.
