    Kids Value Meal
    Hailey B.

Went on the 4th of July and was so amazed how great the service was, while they were completely swamped with packed tables our server never missed a beat and gave fantastic service. The portions were generous, the food was tasty, and the service was great!

    Simple kiddie breakfast!

Parking was full when we got to the restaurant. All the surrounding establishments had some empty parking spaces but had signs everywhere not allowing diners to park. Fortunately, we found a parking spot when a diner just pulled out. This restaurant was listed as one of the best breakfast and brunch places in town. We got in and peaked inside as there was no hostess upfront. A server named Gina noticed us and immediately got us seated by the window. She handed us the menu and exchanged some pleasantries. She was nice and very friendly. The menu was extensive and we can see at other tables that their servings are huge. Diners were all happily indulging on their big meals. My husband noticed that they have Liver steak on the menu. He asked Gina how it was prepared and cooked and if it was seasoned. She did not know much about this dish but can tell us that it is very good. My husband was hesitant cause he loves the way I cook my seasoned liver steak with lots of onions. Gina gave us more time to check out the menu. When she got back to bring our coffee and orange juice, she informed us that it's not seasoned but grilled. That helped my hubby decide to try the dish. As for me, my tummy was kind of not ready to eat a heavy meal. So I asked Gina if I can order a small kid's meal. With a serious face, she said "yes, I will allow you to order it provided you don't throw any tantrums!" That gave us a good laugh! She was funny! The atmosphere is pleasant and you can tell that the diners are happily indulging on their big servings. Their prices are very affordable and reasonable right at price point! Thus, their turn around is quick and customers are constantly coming. Our order was delivered by another server named Genovese. We requested some lemon slices for the liver steak. She went to the kitchen and we waited quite a while and she just walked past our table. She went to the front got new customers get seated, took an order from another table and totally forgot our request. My husband cannot wait so he started eating without the lemon. The next time she walked by, I reminded her to please give us some lemon slices. She just said huh, left without a word of apology and brought the lemons without saying anything. We thought that was rude! The liver steak was delightfully perfectly grilled with lots of grilled onion rings with sides of Cole slaw and rice pilaf. I took a a couple of bites and they were deliciously tender. My order of kiddie meal included hash brown with 2 scrambled eggs and sausage was just okay. The presentation was sloppy and too greasy. I ate all the eggs and a little bit of the greasy hash browns. I did not like the sausage. The server, Gina was the best. She refilled my coffee cup without asking. She came back to ask how we liked the food. Overall, the eating experience was wonderful except for having to wait for the lemons. It would have been a perfect 5 star but one server dropped the ball. So 4 stars for this restaurant. Thanks to Gina, you made our day! Good job. You should get a big raise!

Pastrami and Swiss burger with coleslaw, Texas BBQ burger

Can't argue with the value, as the prices are very reasonable. I liked the big heaping of coleslaw that they serve with the burgers. I got a pastrami and swiss burger, which was okay. It says it comes with a pickle, which turned out to be one slim slice. Texas BBQ burger was all right as well. Food came out quickly, employee was nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - laid back, unassuming, interesting people-watching.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Decor was fun.

5 stars for us! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food was tasty, service was great, and we loved the decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the meatloaf, because the menu said it was made fresh daily. I thought it was outstanding, and we all enjoyed the gravy. Kids meals were great, and the portions were enough to feed rambunctious kiddos. Service was attentive, despite being pretty busy and us having a party of 10. I thought the California burger that my wife got was really good, and the Fry sauce that they give you is a fun Treat. As my kids say, "it was fire". I think that's good.

The breakfast sausage tastes homemade. The hashbrowns are always golden and crispy. The breakfast here is always a 10/10 and we always leave satisfied.

    The inside is surprisingly nice

This is my third and very last time visiting this establishment. I don't understand the mentality of an organization who feels it's unnecessary to train its wait staff. While the food is good, not great, the service is simply unacceptable. Currently they have a burger special going on from 2-5. $8.99 gets you any burger on the menu, fries and a drink, today I walked in and ordered the burger at 1:51pm. Now... if the server gave a crap about the customers, she should have said, the burger special doesn't start for another 9 minutes, would you like to wait. She didn't. Because her focus isn't on making long term customers. Her focus is simply getting through her shift. But, here's where it all fell apart. As I went to pay for my bill I asked about the burger special. The same server who gave me horrible service the first time I was there decided to jump into the conversation and essentially told the cashier to charge me full and send me on my way. If your staff is so bitter and vindictive that they feel the need to do that... so, this is my very last time in your establishment. Congratulations! Your $1.50 extra charge over 9 minutes and a young woman's hurt feelings can go serve someone else! This should be an embarrassment for an owner that actually wants to build a long term business. But, considering that your staff is nothing short of a lawless gang who doesn't know what they are doing... Good luck with that!

I came here with friends and their kids on the way to Salt Lake City for the holidays (last month). We had a long drive from L.A. and we were hungry so we stopped here to give it a try. We were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice, attentive and professional. We were a party of 11. We ordered our food and considering that we're a big party the food came out within 10 mins! I'm impressed! And as for the food, it's your average breakfast place. I don't mind eating here again. Give it a try and see for yourselves.

If you love just good home cooked breakfast, this is the place. Everything was great and the staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. I got the silver dollar pancakes and they were huge! Everything was great. Highly recommend.

I was definitely filled twice, when I got the chow-line breakfast, filled myself with a doggie bag that filled me again that night.

Ask the Community - All American Diner

Do they offer any type or dining / meal for Thanksgiving?

I'm not sure if they have a special meal for thanksgiving , but what I do know is that last year they did 10% off for thanksgiving week ! I would keep an eye out on their Facebook page though !

Do they accept take out orders?

Yes we do. You just have to call the restaurant.

Do they have gluten free options?

We really don’t have gluten free options. Our issue is that we do not have anywhere separate to make it.

While ordering at the counter, I needed to make a quick adjustment after getting confused about one of the items. During that moment, a 'white' gentleman was waiting behind me, and instead of simply acknowledging him with "I'll be with you shortly," the lady staff apologized to him for my delay in ordering (according to her). Shortly after, while I was still in the middle of ordering and asking about tea options, she abruptly moved on to take his order without any explanation or communication. The interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable as well I felt strong I am treated with racism, especially in the condition when I was pregnant who crave all good food.... As for the food, most of it was enjoyable. The scrambled eggs on the croissant and the pancakes were well done. However, the onion soup was overly salty, likely due to the cheese which was in the soup and also on the bread. Another downside, especially as first-time visitors, was the lack of guidance. We weren't informed that water was self-serve, and only realized it after noticing another guest getting it themselves. Interestingly, when leaving, we saw staff pouring water for newly seated guests, which added to the inconsistency. Overall, the food showed effort from the kitchen, but the service experience was disappointing. The 2-star rating is mainly in appreciation of the quality of the dishes. Cafe is quite small and we felt hot, as there's only a portable AC that couldn't accommodate that size of room. Not recommended place, even this is one of the rarest cafe in town. Rather to spend money to somewhere worthy and respect you as guest, no matter what roots you have.

Example: the Menu shows "seasoned" fries as a side and Pork Master as a Sandwich choice. Neither are still offered in Cedar City. The Online Ordering link offers quite a different list of item in comparison to the Menu link, and has very few item descriptions. Just name and price mostly. I had always ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork sandwich but the gal on the phone kept referencing a smaller pork sandwich which I didn't think I ordered but I ended up with an order for the Mini Pork Sandwich being placed for me. It was the size of a hamburger and was good. My husband usually ordered the Pork Master sandwich but that exists only on the incorrect Menu link. He ended up ordering the Smoked Brisket Melt which he said was okay. The differing links also confuse you as to what sides are offered with the entrees. When asked what side I wanted with the Pork Sandwich I was offered with only fries or tots. That was not what I thought I saw in their online order form which showed more options - several new ones and missing some of their previous offerings. I told the gal this and she agreed to give me the mashed potatoes - this time. So that sounds like they are not an option with the Mini Pork sandwich. We both ended up with mashed potatoes as the sides since we'd had poor experiences with how the sides end up after the ride home. The tater tots lose their crunch during the 10 minute ride home and arrive home soggier than you'd get in the restaurant. Pork Belly's in Cedar City had also discontinued the delicious seasoned french fry . Instead they offer plain fries which were disappointing on a prior order. The mashed potatoes needed a little salt (I'm am not a person who salts restaurant food). Maybe they had some garlic in them? They charge a 7% To Go fee. The original owners are long gone and under the new management, my husband is over ordering anything from this Pork Belly's now. Too many of the favorites that kept us coming back are gone and now only exist online in their historic Menu link. TIme to BBQ elsewhere.
