A little stop on our way through Cedar City Utah. Let me tell you we can't find this good in Los Angeles. I had the lobster ravioli with the added tail. Amazing. The lobster wasn't big but it was enough and tender! And juicy! Our guest had the seafood ravioli. Also amazing. Especially the sauce. Hubs had the rack of lamb. Just excellent. We googled the best places for dinner and Chef Alfredo's was on one of the top list. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a small Italian restaurant with a formal setting with white tablecloths and a nice fresh flowers in a bud vase on the table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted and seated right away. We wanted to be on the window side but all were taken except the bigger tables at the end on each side. There were quite a lot of varieties on the menu. Since we were not too hungry, we decided to skip appetizers and salads or soups. My husband ordered Vongole pasta with white wine sauce and at my husband's prodding, I went for lamb chops as he knows I love it. The lady server brought us some toasted focaccia slices while we waited for our orders to arrive. It did not take long. The pasta was perfectly cooked al dente and the white wine sauce with clams were fresh with added chopped canned clams. Since this is one of our favorite pasta dishes, our standard is quite high. It was missing some flavor and more wine should have been added. As for the lamb chops, I ordered medium but no blood "pink" which was done right. I did not want to say medium rare as there's always a mishap when I do that. Despite of medium rare, the chops were tough and disappointingly bland. Without the brown gravy, it would have been a total tasteless piece of ordinary meat. It came with 4 ribs and sides of mashed potatoes and 2 fat sticks of asparagus. I ordered lava chocolate cake with ice cream on top for dessert and it was gratifying but would have lovelier if the lava was warmer enough. It arrived too quickly so it must be pre-made. Their lamb chops definitely needs some improvements on taste. I did not have the heart to complain and send my chops back to the kitchen. The server was efficient and sweet. I only ate 2 pieces of the chops and left 2 pcs. For foodies, it's not a place that you go back to. My rating would be 5 for the service, 4 for the pasta, 3 for the lamb chops and 4 for dessert. So, 4 stars overall and it is quite generous. read more

Craving steak and pasta after a long day of snowboarding--and let's just say, they did not disappoint. The service was excellent, we were seated immediately and brought out bread to start. We had a fun conversation with him, and he recommended some of his favorites, which made the experience even better. We went with a ribeye steak, cooked and flavored to perfection. It was very light, with the perfect tinge of lemon. The lava cake & ice cream is always my go to! And the homemade tiramisu was probably my most favorite. This place is always nice for a date night. Tonight I got the salmon special. I wasn't that thrilled and wouldn't order again. It was sitting on top of starchy tasting rice with a sauce which wasn't good to me. We had a couple hiccups with service as well but all good. We will go back and I would recommend but just get something other than rice... orzo would have been much better. read more

We went to Chef Alfredo's tonight and had an excellent experience. It all started when Julia our server came up and introduced herself. She was recently in a review below and so when she came up, I instantly knew who she was. She was really friendly, really courteous and really knew about the food on the menu. She was a complete pleasure. We had the stuffed mushrooms, the bruschetta, the Caprese salad, the chicken Parmesan, and another chicken dish that I cannot remember the name of. All the food was delicious. The bruschetta was especially good. I would highly recommend anyone stop by who is looking for some great Italian food in Cedar City. Highly recommended! read more

We come to Cedar City to do the Shakespeare Festival for our anniversary every year and decided to give Chef Alfredo's a try. The decor was surprisingly nice for the location and it was very busy. The menu was quite large and had several delicious-looking dishes. We tried to tri-colored fried ravioli which was great. I had the chicken Parmesan which was average but good. The fresh bread and butter was delicious as well. And their desserts were just what I'd expect from a high quality Italian restaurant. The thing that detracted from the date the most was a comedy of errors when it came to service. The staff were clearly not trained in fine dining at all. To deliver the meals, they used this old rickety cart which made a huge racket and was completely unnecessary. They kept getting our table and the table next to us confused and brought our dishes, set them down on the other table, and then had to pick them back up and serve them to us. At one point a server dropped an entire plate and it went everywhere. Safe to say, their service was not smooth. Overall, for Cedar City, it was fine. Dining options are limited and compared to other restaurants nearby, this is still your best bet for a nice date out. But if they want to compete with bigger cities like Salt Lake City or Vegas, they're going to need to tighten up their service a bit. read more

We had gone to Chef Alfredo's in st.George and it was just so so. I had said I would try it again with something else so when we saw this place again we gave it a try. I had the chicken Milanese and the wife had the chicken Marsala. As with the last time the service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. We came at 6:00 and it was not super busy but by the time we left there was a line. I would call and make reservations if you are a late diner. This time the food was amazing. I had mine with the risotto and it was prepared perfectly. Tons of flavor. The wife's was also great. We will come by again next time now that we know what is good. read more

Lovely and Jessica were absolutely lovely haha! Lovely was great in sharing all the specials on the menu with us which we ended up getting one which was the steak and the Parmesan crusted scallops with risotto. I will say it was great the only thing I didn't like was the crust on the scallops but I just took it off and ate the scallop. The other course we got was the carbonara with blackened chicken. I don't really care for the chicken with it, but it was good. We want to come back when we are in town to get the carbonara. Service was spot on! So thank you! Jessica left us with a silly little joke which I thought was really cute and showed her personality. The restaurant is pretty open nothing to fancy but very nice. read more

Walked in on Christmas Eve 2025 with no reservations and they accommodated us, despite what seemed like a full house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location of the restaurant was in an unassuming plaza with tastefully decorated interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What impressed me the most was the great customer service and great food, which pretty much made our evening and helped us conclude our first family ski trip in excellence. We didn't know what to expect, but the food here wowed us, rivaling the quality of any of the fancier and pricier restaurants we frequent in LA. The "Terre Mare" holiday special (surf and turf) that my husband got was seasoned and cooked just right, even without selecting a pricier cut like filet mignon. Both of my daughters loved their pastas, again flavorful and generously portioned. I ate all of my mixed seafood linguini in white wine sauce, enjoying the generous portions of squid, mussel, and clams. We even ordered dessert- holiday special chocolate cake with roasted marshmallow and limoncello cake - and finished both. Not one dish felt extraneous; all of us left feeling full, both in our stomachs and in our holiday spirits. Very grateful to have found this gem of a place. A group of recovering English teachers were in Cedar City for the Shakespeare Fest and celebrating a special (75th!!) birthday. We chose Chef Alfredo's for our celebration dinner, and it was absolutely perfect! We sat on the patio, surrounded by pots of herbs and flowers; we had a delightful server who loves his job and loves serving his guests; the hostess was friendly and asked who the birthday guest was; and above all, the food was wonderful. We all got something different and shared tastes, and every dish was beautifully prepared and presented AND tasted divine. The first comment all of us made was how reasonably priced the dishes were. First time for me. Early dinner. Maybe 5 tables filled...one waitor. He...Antoinio?...was very prompted and attentive. He brought water and bread immediately. I ordered Black & Bleu Filet Mignon with a fettuccinec side. The bread was several toasted pieces of bread. Crunchy. Air fryer-like. Ok, with olive oil-balsamic, but I like soft, fresh bread better. The entree was deliciouly rich and perfect. Steak cooked perfectly med rare, veggies cooked perfectly fresh and crunchy. It's easy to overcook zucchini, but these were seared and done. Just right. Mama mia! On our second-to-last night in Cedar City we found ourselves in the mood for Italian food. Chef Alfredos did not disappoint--this is a superb spot! My wife ordered the homemade butternut squash ravioli. She allowed me to taste some of it, and it was probably one of the best raviolis I've ever had. A feast for the taste buds! I had the Tortellini al Pomodoro, which is a dish that a lot of chefs get wrong. Not here: the tomato, basil, and olive oil were perfectly proportioned, and the tortellinis were absolutely perfect. The service was impeccable, and our water glasses were never less than half full. This is an easy five stars, no questions asked. read more
