After rolling into Zion, setting up camp, and a long swim, we were ready for some grub. A quick scan of local menus led us to Jacks. We saw bar food and beer, plus the clincher--a kids' menu with chicken tenders. Everybody happy. We were surprised by the ambiance, mainly that Jack's is pretty cozy but feels uncrowded. Sports memorabilia representing teams from across the country festoons the walls with TVs galore. There's a robot patrolling to bus tables... Our server, Amber, greeted us quickly and took good care of us throughout, taking split checks and indecisive kiddos in stride. Drinks came out first. I enjoyed my draft porter and my friend indulged in a can of Melvin 2x4. Pepsi products for the kiddos. Ironically, dads ordered the same meal, and the boys each had chicken fingers. The brisket sandwich featured surprisingly tasty beef, moist and cut perfectly for going on a bun. It's pretty filling. I took about half with me. Beans offered nothing spectacular--somewhat runny, but compelling enough to finish. Fries were fries. Chicken tenders looked standard. The boys rated them second out of three on our trip. 3.5 star food. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Round it up to four Springdale stars.

This place has bar food. Half the menu is burgers so that is a clue that it's their specialty. They have other things on the menu but I hesitate ordering something that is not their specialty if I have never been there before. I was tempted to order rice bowls but that would be a mistake. Service by Diane was very friendly and efficient. We came with our kids and ordered the chicken tender meal for them. My husband and I ordered burgers and they were delicious. The day before my husband order the J combo which came with pulled pork and brisket BBQ and I was not a fan. I really enjoyed the baked beans so I ordered that again. I would have preferred noodles or pizza for the kids but most places are closed during the off season.

We ate lunch at Jack's after hiking Observation point in Zion. Parking was super easy even during the holiday weekend. Our waitress was very nice and stopped by many times to check on us. We sat outside since you can see Zion for the restaurant. Bathrooms were clean and our food came out fast and hot!

Can't say how this rates against other restaurants in Springdale because I haven't tried many, but the food here is so bland. I appreciate the service though and it doesn't feel super touristy inside. Prices are still on touristy side, but hey, that's to be expected if you're touring ‍

Springdale is the town that Zion is in and frankly, I wouldn't recommend any restaurants there. The restaurants are definitely a tourist trap. The food is mediocre to average. But the prices are extremely high. If you find yourself having to be in the area, we thought Jack's sports Grill was decent. The food was OK. The service was good.

Great food - poor service. I don't blame the server; I blame the restaurant. You can expect good service when the server has tables on both extreme ended of the restaurant. If they were assigned sections, they would do a much better job. I had the Hickory Burger, and it was cooked to order. I did sub the BBQ sauce for Chipotle pepper mayo. My burger was tasty. My wife got the Pulled Pork Sandwich. She enjoyed her meal, and I enjoyed her small side of baked beans. Nice atmosphere!

Hit the spot after a day of hiking. Went with a mule and a bratwurst and it satisfied every inch of hunger I had

Golden Halo Blonde Ale

Such a cute stop on our road trip. Beer was frosty and CJ was a gem! The Golden Halo Blonde Ale was so good!

Came here for dinner after hiking . Service was friendly and food was really good . We ordered a cheeseburger and a bbq plate . The pork was really tasty the brisket was just ok but the bbq beans were very tasty wish it was a bigger portion . Also had a cocktail something tropical it was very sweet but lacked alcohol .

Good food and service here. We had the turkey bacon sandwich and taco salad. Both were tasty.

Its acidic notes in its dressing balanced out the fish & rice. I don't really like avocado or cucumbers so I ordered it without that salsa. Don't think I missed out on anything. Only other thing I altered was to scrape off some the sesame crusting on the salmon because it did get saltier the further I ate. My Top-Shelf Long Island Ice Tea was really sour. I haven't had one in years so I'm not sure if that's typical or they were too light on the cola in it. My photo shows how pale it is which doesn't look anything like an "ice tea". Although my husband liked his Blue Aloha Mana Margarita (he had this the last time we were there) his Prime Rib Dipper was way too salty. And that was without dipping it in the au jus. He kept it to himself for most of the meal so it wouldn't spoil our anniversary but when the waitress came by with the standard "how's everything?" he finally shared it all. He's been kicking himself since then saying he should have just stopped and not tried to work through it. It will be awhile before he suggests we go to Applebees again. Since he had had enough by then and just wanted to leave, he missed out on their Triple Chocolate Meltdown which he had been eyeing since we sat down.

It ended up being a good thing for us, though, as we were able to get a good seat at the bar to enjoy a couple drinks and food while taking in the entertainment. The only issue with that was they weren't able to turn off the music for downstairs so that was annoying to hear while trying to listen to the band. For drinks, I opted for the range water which I'd never tried before anywhere but it was great. Perfectly mixed blend of lime, topo chico, and tequila. I liked that it's not too sweet or sour; refreshing. Andy wanted the Maple Smoked Old Fashioned listed on their provided seasonal menu but the bartender said he didn't have the maple and could do the regular smoked old fashioned. We said ok and waited...and waited.... Unfortunately he couldn't get his smoker to work. So Andy ended up getting a 1/3 full rocks glass of Old Fashioned. Delicious but I was surprised there was no discount on the check since he didn't get what was ordered. For food I got the Big Shots Burger, no bun or onion, and andy got the bacon cheddar tots. I forgot to say what I wanted for my side and the bartender didn't ask even though the menu said there were 3 options, one being a side salad which I normally would have gotten over potatoes, so my plate had the standard fries. at least andy enjoyed them. My smash burger patties were surprisingly delicious. Perfectly seasoned and juicy. Andy loved his tots as well. The tots definitely looked homemade as they were ginormous! I stole some of the fry sauce they came with for my burger. It added a nice kick and is the only fry sauce I've had that was actually good. The prices were decent and food & beverages yummy so I'd definitely come back.

Our host & server were very kind and accommodating. Kids menus and crayons are available. They offer breakfast and lunch options; food is very much the basic sports bar items such as burgers, wings and fries. But everything tasted good and came out quick. Plenty of tvs overhead, so we had fun watching Sunday football while we waited for our tee time. Half our party was late due to weather for our golf game, and the restaurant was kind enough to let us just hang out until they arrived. Overall, a good experience!

Immediately was greeted with a dog bowl with water and dog treats before our drink order lol! Love having a dog menu available! Food: this might have been the best cheese curds I've ever had! Soooo good! Really good fries! My husband loved his breakfast burger and was really big. I liked my pizza grilled cheese but the bread was a little too sweet for me for that kind of combo. There were 2 issues that I had with DC. One was the surrounding area. It's right next to the main road and is really, really loud on the patio. Not much they can do about that one though. The second was the excessive use of AI on the menu... didn't love that... The service, the staff, the food, and the attention to detail for a dog owner were all top notch though!
