There are a TON of options for beverages and food! It definitely seems like a popular spot of the locals too! The staff was patient as we looked at the immense menu and were kind when we asked questions. We also got the chocolate croissant (not pictured) and it was divine! Definitely a worth while stop!

Parking is a little confusing - it's actually behind the place because the front is all gas station pumps. The staff here were friendly and helpful and made me a "version" of one of their lattes (the Milky Way mocha) using regular drip coffee because they were out of espresso. Tbh I'm not quite sure what happened but by the time I tasted the drink in my car, it really just tasted like drip coffee with plain simple syrup. I didn't pick up on any other flavor at all, no chocolate or caramel or any of the other things listed in the ingredients. It also didn't look creamy at all, it looked like drip coffee. I was in a hurry so I didn't turn around but I had to look at the receipt to make sure I'd ordered the right thing when I got back to Zion and I had indeed been charged for a Milky Way mocha. *shrugs* I liked the vibe in this place and again the staff were so nice! But the drink was very disappointing. I might go back for pastries or something, but not for a drink.

So we pulled a U-turn to come back & check it out. I'm so glad we did. What a gem! Pun intended! This cute lil store has everything - crystals, earrings, bracelets, rings, figurines, sculptures, glassware, trinkets, donuts, fun-flavored lattes, goats, a resident kitty named Callie who will make you fall in love with her... The women running the shop were so kind. They fueled us up with coffee (delicious iced lattes - who knew?!) & answered all of our questions about gems, jewelry, ring sizes, Callie the cat, etc. & were so gracious. The prices were so reasonable, too. I purchased two gorgeous sterling silver rings with malachite stones in them for a whopping total of $50. My only regret is not having enough space to buy more trinkets. We were on motorcycles with very limited bag space. Would I come back? ABSOLUTELY. I'd build a road trip around visiting the Rock Stop again. What a fun place. I wish them the best of luck & prosperity!

The history of the place is written on little laminated cards on the table and it's fun to read about the family that started it all, and the amazing home made pies that Fern created and shared with the community. I had a slice of the coconut cream pie and can confirm - ITS INCREDIBLE PIE! I did also get a cup of their soup of the day (was tomato bisque that day) which was smooth and lovely, and got an order of their homemade bread to go with it. I cannot stress enough that it was some of the BEST home made bread I have ever had, and it paired so well with the creamy soup. It was an unconventional lunch but I left so happy! And my server was very sweet and attentive. Overall - if you need food or just want to try a spectacular slice of pie, you have to stop here. The place is absolutely iconic, an American treasure for sure~~

This is my new standard for pie excellence. We got the Thunderberry and apple pie with buttered rum sauce served warm in the diner and a la mode. Excellent choice. Both were warm and delicious and we just couldn't stop eating both of them. We loved the pie so much that we got a slice of coconut cream to go and ate it for breakfast the next day. I have been dreaming about this pie ever since and have even had the thought of taking a flight back to Utah just to get a slice. On top of all that, our waitress Jersey was a delight. She made meaningful conversation with us and was spot on with her service. The burgers were good too, but man, if we didn't order burgers, we probably could have eaten two more slices of pie and I would have liked that just fine!

It was the kind of meal you forget about before you even leave the parking lot. Unfortunately, the food wasn't even the worst part of the experience. What really ruined everything was the behavior coming from the kitchen. The chef was openly yelling at the waitress in a way that made the entire dining area uncomfortable. It wasn't just a quick moment of stress either, it kept happening. At one point, he started yelling at customers too. Not even rude customers, just people politely asking if their food could be warmed up. It escalated to the point where it genuinely seemed like he wanted to fight them. That's not an exaggeration. Sitting there, trying to enjoy a meal while someone in the kitchen is acting like that, completely killed any chance of a decent experience. It's hard to enjoy even average food when the atmosphere feels hostile and tense. The waitress handled it as best she could, but no one should have to work in that kind of environment, and no customer should have to witness it. We won't be back. Not because of the food, but because of the way people were treated. That alone was enough to make sure of it.
