    Fried rice appetizer
    S M.

This is a new great addition near Zion! Food was super tasty! It's definitely great for a "nice" dinner versus a casual after hike place. We had the fried rice as our appetizer which was FAB. I wish I had this recipe to recreate it. The lomo salteado was sooo tasty and meat was delicious. The Chow Mein was also really good, a little too salty for our preference but not bad at all. Our server, Nate, was great. He was on top of everything and super nice. Would absolutely come back here! Just wish they also had an outdoor space.

Came here for our 15 year wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. First time here and first time trying a Sazerac. Fabulous. I love that they use local liquors. It had the High West Double Rye and Utah's Underground liqueur. So many things on the menu sounded delicious that it was a tough choice. I was waffling between the salmon and Peruvian seafood rice but opted for the latter based on that being the waiter's fav and was so glad I did. Massive portion chock full of the most tender octopus I've ever had, prawns, mussels, and clams. It was so rich-tasting despite being gluten and dairy free. The only downside was the couple bites of extra crunchy grit that must've come from the mussels or clams. Luckily the majority of the dish was free of that. I appreciated how the menu was clearly labeled showing which menu items were gf, df, vegetarian , and/or vegan and the view out the huge bay windows was magnificent. Andy went with the short rib which was super tender and delicious as well. We'd definitely return.

Did not refill our waters once and did not clear the dirty dishes in a timely manner.

Beautiful views. The food was very good. We ordered the short rib entrée and the salmon entrée, and both were excellent. However, the service was terrible. We watched our waiter check in on other tables frequently (that were larger/drinking/were spending more) while we were ignored after he dropped the food off. He did not even refill our water, and it took a long time to take away the dirty dishes right before he brought our check. See photo.

A Flavor Journey to Peru If you're looking for a restaurant that gets it right, this Peruvian gem delivers in every way. I started with the Tiradito appetizer, and it blew my wife and I away. The Shrimp and fish was silky and fresh, sliced just right, and bathed in a that struck the perfect balance--bright and tangy, with a depth of flavor that lingered beautifully after every bite. You can taste the intention in this dish. It's not just good--it's crafted. The chef clearly pours heart and soul into every plate, and that kind of passion is rare. This isn't just food, it's storytelling through flavor.

First time trying this restaurant in Zion and by far the best food we have had. Clean and delicious.

Best restaurant in Springdale! The food, ambiance, and service were 100/100. The view even better. Please try the Mara-tini, Octopus, and Peruvian Seafood Rice. You will be delighted. Nate was amazing!

Hidden Gem!!! This restaurant offers the best food in town by far. Everything is made with love from the drinks to the amazing menu. Even the Ketchup is made in house. Chef Sergio has put a lot of effort in creating a menu that compares to no other, and the entire staff is polished, polite, and knowledgeable. The ambiance is posh, and the view of the canyons is amazing from those ceiling to floor windows. This is a must go!

The waitress explained that their menu switches over to lunch at 11:30. That's certainly one of the latest I've ever seen! At any rate, we were happy to wait the extra 10-15 minute wait for the kitchen switchover. At this point the place wasn't too crowded at all all, and just as promised, we were able to place our order at 11:40. Garlic Burger ($18) - This is a huge plate of food with a mound of fries and one gigantic burger. The burger starts with a soft bun, lightly toasted on both sides, which is then piled up with onion and plenty of piquant pickles, making the burger extra tangy. There's a weak creamy mayo/mustard mixture that soaks the veggies, followed by a giant half pound burger patty on top. It's slightly pink in the center, but is somehow dry. It doesn't have much of a grilled/char flavor, nor much of a beefy flavor either. The patty is large but disappointing in flavor and execution. There's a pitiful spoonful of garlic on top of the patty. It such a small amount it's almost indistinguishable in flavor and texture - in fact, I didn't even know there was any garlic until I deconstructed the burger. That's a very poor showing for a burger with "garlic" in the name. On top of the garlic is a thick slice of melted cheese, more mayo/mustard, a small bed of shredded lettuce (complete with shreds falling out all over even before being brought to our table), and a couple of tomato slices. There's plenty of mayo/mustard sauce for the sandwich, enough to overcome how dry the meat is. The sandwich comes with a choice of regular or sweet potato fries, of which we went with the former. They are standard food service battered fries, not fried long enough to give any coloring to the exterior, making them extra pale and soft. We asked for a side of fry sauce which we found to be thin, watery, and drippy. (2/5) Pork Tamales ($22) - This dish comes with a side salad, which came immediately to the table. It's a pretty large portion for a side salad and includes plenty of romaine, full cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, charred corn, olives, and a pile of shredded carrot in an extremely tangy and slightly sweet dressing. The dressing is both way too acidic and way too watery for my tastes. It's so overdressed that a large puddle of dressing remained after finishing the salad. The tamales aren't very good either. They are doused in a green chile sauce that's only added after being blasted in whatever cooking appliance they use. The masa feels woefully under-steamed. It's quite coarse in texture and is hard, dry, and crumbly. It's so hard it's almost crunchy. The tamales seem to be pan fried on both sides, or perhaps broiled in a salamander for far too long. The green chile inside isn't even that flavorful, making the tamales a bland disappointment. There's a bed of shredded pork underneath the two tamales. The pork is not as far gone as the tamales. It's a little stringy and dry, but still retains at least a minimum amount of moisture. The pork has a pleasing pink/red tinge, but isn't smoky whatsoever. The overall profile doesn't display much in terms of spices, and the flavor of the pork itself isn't my favorite. I have a feeling that this is microwaved food service pork rather than being made in house. On top of everything is a chile verde sauce. It's again not that flavorful, with more acidity than anything else. There's absolutely zero heat - it's one of the most mild green chile sauces I've had. I feel like the dish could be improved a little if they simmered the pork in the green chile to help layer the flavors more. Unfortunately they are clearly cooked and assembled in a modular manner to save on ingredient cost. On the side is brown rice, actually cooked with green chile, and tender black beans that are appropriately salted. (2/5) Tip: If most people are sitting on the patio, I recommend not asking for an indoor seat. We were basically ignored by the waitress after we got our food since we were the only customers sitting inside. Also, get here earlier for fastest seating. By the time we left half past noon, the place was bustling with the entire patio being full of patrons. Oscar's Cafe serves huge portions with mediocre to bad quality. It's definitely a quantity over quality type of place and seems to be catered towards people who are scared of flavor and spices. I certainly would not return. Bathrooms - Single unisex room in the restaurant itself, but there are more in the mercantile area.

I ordered the BBQ salad with aforementioned shredded pork. What a masterpiece of a salad. Plenty of juicy shredded pork, lots of real bacon pieces, mixed greens, cheddar cheese, cabbage, tomatoes and onions in perfect harmony! Pour that BBQ sauce and ranch all over, and you have yourself just the ticket after hiking 7 miles! My hubby snagged the pork verde crepes which he loved too. Check out the pics! MeMe went out of her way to find me a size small t-shirt that is beautifully screenprinted with a design that celebrates both Zion Canyon and MeMe's! Check them out! Unfortunately, it was a tad too big for me but they probably have your size. The meal was very reasonable for Zion/Springdale. We ate at the Red Rock Grill at the Lodge the night before. This meal was superior and half the price. The menu here is creative and unique. I loved this lil café with a lot of clocks, a bit of funk, and a thoroughly engaging owner in MeMe herself!! Go here for a yummy dining adventure when you are sick of the same ole overpriced steak and fish.

If you look at its operating hours then you are like, "what the heck?!" Who opens just Tuesday to Sunday, 5 to 9PM? That's a grand total of 24 hours a week! Well once you have their foods then you change your minds. The foods were super delicious. The elk sliders, the clam chowders, the filet mignon, and the prime steaks were all on point. Please double check that the steaks are not over cooked. The filet mignon was the only piece overcooked for us but the kitchen made up for it. It was also such a big piece of filet mignon that you normally cannot find everywhere. So we were definitely happy campers. As for the ambience the place is upscale and reflects the high end steakhouse feel. So pricing reflected as such which is perfectly fine by me. My husband is a meatloaf lover, so he got the bacon wrap meatloaf. He said it was just OK, the appearance was amazing in a little tower, but it really needed a sauce on it. It was kind of dry. he ordered some gravy to go on top and our waiter brought him out some and that made all the difference. Could also just be how we're used to eating meatloaf and my husband thinks every meat has to have a sauce. Lol He also got the French onion soup and thought it was absolutely amazing and scarfed down every bite of it. That was recommended to us by the waiter as one of his favorites. I got the filet mignon and chose to top it with truffle butter, I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly, nice and lean, and the truffle butter was done just right not over the top, paired perfectly with the steak. I would highly recommend that. We got the calamari which was nicely battered (lightly) It was cooked correctly, and they even added fried okra in with the pepper mix. That was something unique to me, but it actually paired perfectly and I really enjoyed it. The aïoli that came with it was delightful as well. So overall, we would definitely recommend this. It is nice on the inside, but I wouldn't say upscale suit and tie kind of place, I did feel a little out of place walking in there and hiking boots and sweat though.
