The restaurant is pleasant in appearance. The bar is quite elegant and inviting. It's someplace you'd love to sit and relax after a busy day in Zion. Service was friendly, but a bit slow, owing mainly to the newness of the operation. I'm guessing they'll work it out soon. The food was exceptionally delicious. We enjoyed the salmon, the earth burger, the mac and chesse, and especially the fried chicken, a house speciality. Also a fine selection of beverages with interesting cocktail options. Also the quantities are generous. The quality and tastiness of the food almost earns 5 stars. Prices are on the higher side for Springdale, but reasonable given the excellence of the food and the ambiance. I guessing that, in time, I will update this review to 5 stars. What a beautiful hotel. You can tell they've put so much into making this place perfect. It's got such a cozy vibe. Service was phenomenal even when we walked in with less than an hour to close. There's a 21 and over side with full bar with a connected opening of the restaurant. I loved the open concept to see the kitchen. Menu was small but held great options. The Four Seasons Hotel doesn't even charge that much for that drink. That was ridiculous and the drink was not even good. I ordered a mule and ice was filled to the brim. Service was more involved with the group catering in the other room. The couple next to us were concerned about the lack of service as well. Food was subpar. Avocado toast was a slice of avocado in the middle, then sparingly smeared spread or the other slice of avocado dragged into submission (not really sure which route was taken but it made the bread dry). Kale was a nice addition, however, it was not massaged or beaten, so they missed the point so lets just call it miners lettuce. The sides were potatoes or fresh fruit. My wife was not impressed with the fruit and I ordered the potatoes, probably the biggest mistake. For 18+ dollars a meal, I would hope that they were not previously frozen and heated in a microwave, but that's how it tasted. The chicken breast in my sandwich was really well battered but did look to be a little gray in certain parts, so I'm not sure it's entirely white meat (FYI). Everything we had was good and the views from the patio were stunning. The downside to this place would be the service; it took about 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us once we were seated at our table, and each item ordered came out super slowly. We live locally and decided to try it last night with friends. It's a little hard to find, (signs are ordered), but it's located cross the Worthington Gallery in the Red Cliffs Lodge. The decor is beautiful and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. They also have a beautiful bar and lounge. Started off with their Tikiti cocktail, deliciously different. The menu is a little like finding your way through the wilderness, but every one of our dishes was outstanding. The chef was a pitmaster for the world famous Franklin BBQ in Austin, so I had to try the brisket and I was not disappointed. Same story for my friends that had the hot chicken and the puttanesca pasta. It was finished off with some salted Carmel ice cream that was the perfect ending.
