Asava is the highest quality eatery in Kanab, with the healthiest offerings. I've been stopping by every visit for as long as I've been going to Kanab...maybe 9 years?! The smoothies are delicious. The kale chips are crunchy and so tasty. The juices are fantastic. The avocado toast is exceptional (they make their own gluten free bread, but you really can't tell it's GF!). Asava now has an annex, loaded with all kinds of games and neat Lego sets! You can hang out with friends, enjoy something to eat/drink, and play a board game! I was so excited to visit Asava with all the great menu options, but when I arrived I got awful treatment. It was so bad I wanted to walk away while ordering. I was belittled for not ordering fast enough (even though we were the only ones in the shop). The employee had no patience, rolling her eyes, & looked so annoyed explaining the menu, & stated for us to refer to the menu if we had questions. Customer service needs improvement. read more

Soo good. There is something for everyone! Throughout our stay we got their smoothies, juice and their toasts, all which were great. Very fresh and refreshing. I'm starting to think that Kanab, UT should be known for some great places to get food and drinks. We had just had one of the most amazing meals on our trip next door and decided we would grab a smoothie for the road. Yet again a great decision on our part. A ton of juice and smoothies options can be found on the menu, but if you aren't able to find something that is the perfect fit for you, make your own. Really easy to work with and their employee that was working was a wealth of smoothie related info and helped us make up our mind. Everyone that came in she made them feel welcomed and at home. Really cool environment and I wish we had one of these back home, really awesome spot to grab a smoothie. They had some shelves that included some products you could but to add to your at home concoctions. From Detox and Cleansing to Energy to Bone and Joint .... etc. There were a ton of options to grab so you can start including them in your day to day routine. Can't believe I found a juice place that rivals my favorite spot back home! The "I Am Grateful" juice I just had was AMAZING. Tastes super fresh and the flavors were balanced perfectly. Trying to drink it quickly so I can go back! This spot is small and in the back of a shopping center, so make sure you look closely for it. What a great little find in Kanab. We were craving something fresh after a few days of hiking and this was more than perfect. It was so good that we had to come twice! Ambience/Environment: this place reflects the homey feel that Kanab has throughout the town. The interior is decorated with plants and just gives off great and fresh vibes that you'd hope would be reflective in homegrown smoothie shop. 5/5 Taste: I've been to a handful of commercial and small business owned smoothie places and this place comes up near the top. They have fresh and unique ingredients that really add to the flavor of their drinks in unique ways. First day we had a summers end and an endless summer. Second day we had a belly of the dragon and I created my own (not so much because I didn't like anything, but I couldn't decide since they all sounded great). I would've tried them all if I was in town long enough. 5/5 Quality: as mentioned above. The ingredients are super fresh and subtle ingredients give wonderful flavor that I wouldn't have expected. They even cycle smoothies when certain fruits aren't available. 5/5 Service: Pam and TC were wonderful and extremely friendly. They're both really easy to talk to and have wonderful information when we asked about certain drinks. 5/5 Value: The price is more or less what you expect of a smoothie shop given the fresh ingredients and unique add-ons. 4/5 Overall: Asava deserves a stop on the way through Kanab whether you're staying in town or driving through. Can't say enough great things about this place! All organic, vegan, gluten free, super nice staff, free wifi for paying customers & they're open 7 days a week so you don't have to worry about consistency in hours. I am obsessed with their toast and cold pressed juices. They also make really yummy nut mylks. If you check their Instagram or Facebook, they usually show what juices/mylks are in stock. I've tried all their smoothies and they've really nailed the recipes. They're absolutely delicious! It's a definite must stop place for a yummy, healthy treat! What a great find! The menu of delicious healthy options is extensive; asking for recommendations will reveal a few more - not on the menu. My two favorites so far are "Fishing in the Dark" and "I am Grounded". We felt like a smoothie after doing some hikes along our southwest road trip from Zion to Horseshoe bend. Awesome tasting smoothies! We got the Endless Summer and Açaí Berry, but a lot of them looked great. Our first time around we got the desert sky (the light blue smoothie), the coral pink (the red pink one) and a create your own w cherries which was p unique for a smoothie shop. Then I was so enamored w the desert sky that we came back for more of it. A delectable combination of banana, mango, coconut milk, maple syrup, hemp seed, coconut oil, and some algae (spirulina lol) called blue magic. Holy skies! This place is amazing!!! We came from California to hike the Buckskin gulch and came to this place based on a random Yelp search. We took their recommendation and ordered Endless Summer and Dessert Sky (?). The flavors for both drinks are unique, creative and amazingly good. Asava actually put thoughts into creating their own recipes that are not just generic smoothie flavors. I hate to leave a bad review during COVID for a local small business, but it is my civic duty to warn everyone that they do NOT follow COVID protocols. I called for pickup and was shocked to find that not only do they not require their customers to wear masks, but the staff does not wear masks either!!! Do NOT risk your health and life over an açaí bowl. It can wait. My bowl and juice went straight into the trash after pickup as I am not going to consume food prepared by a business that does not follow health protocol.
