Utah gave me insane views, but somehow this little coffee stop became the main character of the trip. Found Taro Coffee Bar randomly and ordered the dirty taro latte with an extra shot of espresso... and I'm still thinking about it. The taro was smooth and slightly sweet, the espresso actually tasted strong, and together it was the perfect "I've been driving through the desert all day and need to feel alive again" combo. Not dramatic at all but I'd genuinely drive back to Kanab just for this drink. Hidden gem energy for sure. read more

It's a 2 star instead of a 1 star because the service is friendly and the costs are reasonable ... but the coffee itself is overly dark, with a burned taste. If you are used to crappy coffee like Starbucks, maybe you would like this place. If you know the difference, you WILL be disappointed. read more

The iced taro latte is really great. I've also had some of the baked goods like banana bread and some kind of mini cinnamon treats that were really great. I just wish that they would add savory food to the menu like the place that used to be here (which had a great breakfast burrito). We went to Kanab to visit from Los Angeles. The group we went with was looking for some real good coffee and saw that taro had great reviews so we decided to try it out. I ordered a hot lavender and cardamom latte and I loved it! I actually tasted the coffee and the syrups complimented it so well. SO GOOD! Located inside the outpost is the taro coffee bar. The baristas are really nice and friendly. There is plenty of seating and you can shop around the outpost as well. We ordered 2 americanos that I would say are fairly priced. It was about $7 together. The place wasn't that busy when we went and the baristas got the drinks out quickly. Such a cute mobile coffee shop. I've tried the energy drinks where you can choose the flavors you want or create a certain color you want. I've had the dirty taro espresso both hot and cold and they were both really good. When it's cold, you taste more of the taro which is nice. We are frequent visitors to Kanab; the last time we were here, I was eyeing Taro Coffee Bar. Unfortunately, we were in town on the days they were closed :( This time around, being in town Thurs-Sun, they're open! I was sooo excited to stop by today. Taro Coffee Bar lived up to my expectations & then some! Their dirty iced taro latte + almond milk is AMAZINGGG. Literally to die for. My only gripe is that I can't bring this place back w/ me to Vegas. Lol. Delicious coffee and wonderful people who make it! You can't ask for anything better than that. I personally love the iced vanilla latte with almond milk. My husband got the iced "dirty" taro latte with almond milk. (The taro latte is espresso free normally but to add espresso makes it dirty.) I had never tried taro before and it's such a fun and unique flavor but not overbearing. We will definitely be making Taro Coffee Bar a must stop place for coffee this year as we pass through Kanab on our many adventures and you should too! read more

If you are looking for breakfast to go along with your coffee you may need to look elsewhere, they do serve banana bread and cookies but not actual breakfast. Their truck was awesome and inviting! Next time I'm in town I will definitely be coming back to grab a cup to start the day, super cute and awesome coffee! The couple here are SO kind and welcoming every time I come by and remember me when I come in which is so nice. Awesome little scoffer spot that had a great cappuccino. Ordered their vanilla cappuccino and it was made super fast and nice and warm for the cold weather. They had a cute little seating area right by the truck, and the owners were super kind and easy going. The Capp was very good but the cold brew was just okay, would definitely come back again the next time I visit. Only downside was that they don't serve food, they do offer cookies and banana bread, which were declined but no actual food.
