We popped by twice during out trip in Kanab and have tried the Kanookie, the ice cream, and a sweet roll. We personally liked the ice cream the best but the Kanookie is probably the most interesting of the three. There is plenty of street parking, lots of seating inside and a few tables outside, and generally not a long wait (if any). Was planning my visit to the parks in Utah and came across Brown Box on TikTok and their "Kazookie"! We got the caprese which was nicely balanced and the gourmet with a mix of cheeses and caramelized onions. The rosemary was strong and was the predominant flavor of the sandwich so some of the flavors were a little lost but it was still altogether delicious, crispy and cheesy! The tomato soup was hearty and was a several steps above the classic canned tomato soup while also tasting nostalgic. The kanookie was also a fun surprise. The small was big enough for two of us and we loved customizing it with scotchie and chocolate chip cookie dough marbled with homemade hot fudge and local ice cream. The people serving at the counter were so pleasant! They were a delight to chat with and were incredibly hospitable. I also loved the homey feel and the touches within the shop with local artist goods and the story of how the restaurant came to be. This spot is definitely worth a stop!
