Small outdoor cafe with excellent southwest turkey club sandwich and açaí bowls. Service is great too.

My friend and I were really excited for this place but it sort of let us down. It's a very cool area and I'm glad we went but there wasn't anything too special about their sandwiches. They were just sandwiches and a bit overpriced for the size. It came out to about $14 before tip and did not come with a drink or chips. The bathroom was locked and you had to get the key from the cave. Not entirely sure if this was necessary as it didn't seem to get that much traffic. The staff was nice enough but if you needed anything extra it took a while to even get their attention.

Oh dear lord I love this place! On our way to Salt Lake City we wiz past a sign that has smoothie and açaí bowls sold here! I make my husband turn around. All my favorite things smoothies and açaí bowls. Super clean manicured grounds. Cute party lights, corn hole , picnic tables and shade! I ordered the moqui açaí bowl. It was huge. Lots of fresh fruit, honey, cinnamon and peanut butter. I opted no granola since there was some confusion if it was gluten free. They substituted with shredded coconut. We stopped on the way back home and I got the same bowl. Side note there's a little museum next door but we didn't go inside. They have the key to the bathroom. Highly recommend stopping here. So cute and fun. Loved it so much. Also such a beautiful campus!

Cute food truck, amazing acai bowl! We got the Desert Oasis bowl. The size was plenty to share, the temperature was a little chilly which was perfect for a hot summer afternoon, and the fruit was delicious. We also ordered a few smoothies and the honey apple bacon panini. The glaze on the sandwich was perfect. The smoothies were good, not great. We tried all 3 and the orange pineapple was our favorite. Kinda pricey for what it is, but getting a chilled smoothie in the middle of the desert is worth it. They are a little slow getting food ready, but there's a small cave to explore behind the food truck and plenty of shaded seating to relax. We recommended it to our family and they all went the next day and agreed with the 5-star review!

Super cute spot for a quick bite and a refreshing smoothie located adjacent to the Moqui Cave. We had the turkey club and it was delicious. I also got the mixed berry smoothie which was refreshing and made with real fruit without being loaded with sugar. The setting is also very nice and cozy with plenty of shade to enjoy an outdoor snack. Check it out!!!

The three star is for the taste of the food but I give the lack of attention to the making of the food (temperature and 22 minutes wait) a two star. Let's talk about the food stuff first. Thankfully both paninis and the tomato bisque were quite tasty but the disappointing part is that we waited over 20 minutes for our lukewarm paninis and soup. The customers behind us who ordered paninis as well got their meals first (go figure!). The fact that we had to ask to get the soup heated (not even to a hot temperature but a warmer temperature) makes me wonder why as paying customers we had to wait as long as we did. The Cave Cafe is lucky that their food can get them by enough for a decent rating but if you're one who enjoys their meals tempered and grilled cheese hot and melty - you won't find it here. Side note - irritating when you pay with a credit card these days, it automatically asks you to tip BEFORE you receive your paid items and the service. Had I known what to expect, my tip would not have been quite as generous. Hope you all have better luck with timing and temperature.

Delicious and quick! Picnic tables, corn hole, string lights, and canopies....super cute ambience! Price is decent, too! Definitely a good pit stop for a light lunch or snack!

The view from one of the tables. Very cute place!

A trendy little food truck just outside of the Moqui Cave museum! This place has a nice shaded outdoor seating area and free wi-fi. I got the grilled cheese with pesto and it hit the spot!

Massive açaí bowls!! Wonderful environment! It takes awhile to get your order but the atmosphere makes the wait fun. The sandwiches looked good too!

    We love açaí bowls!

They can make a vegetarian bean and cheese taco fry bread. It's one of my favorite foods. It comes with sour cream and salsa. There's plenty of parking and seating. The price is good and this will fill you up after a big hike. The staff here is nice! One time there was a mistake and I had to wait longer and they offered to give me a dessert fry bread but I knew I'd be too full to eat it so I declined. I appreciate that kind of kindness! Fry bread! Hot and fresh too!…read more Navajo tacos AKA Indian fry bread is such a delicious treat especially when you're in the middle of nowhere and food options are extremely limited. On a recent trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon we stumbled upon a place called Jacob Lake Inn. This food stand is located right in front of the inn. Navajo tacos can be made savory or sweet depending on what you top them with and both versions are pretty amazing. The savory ones can be topped with your favorite meat like bison & chicken and fresh lettuce, tomato, green onions, sour cream, cheese, etc. The sweet ones can be topped with honey butter, cinnamon sugar, chocolate, etc. So what exactly is fry bread? Its a flat dough bread, fried or deep-fried. It has a crispy shell but is fluffy and airy inside. And the fun part is you can top it with a lot of delicious goodies. Truly the best thing we ate all week while in the area. Outdoor seating is available right next to the food stand as well.

The guy at the register was helpful in a genuine way- poor dude is sporting a shoulder injury, but didn't slow him down. I got the Cuban steak plate with the grilled onions, which was amazing! Only complaint is the beans were more liquid than beans, but there are never enough beans for me and they were flavorful. I poured the sauce on my rice and ate every bite. The tres leches is beyond amazing though! It's soaked, but not soggy with cinnamon on top. I got it to go and gave my boyfriend exactly one bite then claimed it all for myself. They also have a pay it forward wall where you can give an amount of money for people experiencing a hard time. While I was there someone came in asking to wash dishes for some food and the register guy made sure he saw the cards and got fed. That is something special for this business to not only not look over those in need, but go out of their way to take care of them. It really says a lot about the kindness of owners and employees.

I didn't expect to see Cuban food in the middle of Utah, yet here we are. Grab a menu from the counter and have a seat or just order. Between the four of us we had: 1. Cuban Pork plate - tender pieces of roasted pork with rice and black beans. 2. The Smothered Burrito - a stuffed burrito covered with cheats sauce. My buddy had this and ate it heartily. The only comment I received from him was that it was very good. 3. Steak sandwiches- Slices of tender sirloin steak, wrapped in deliciousness. 4. I had the double western cheese burger. Two patties, cheese, bacon and an onion ring. It was very good but a little over cooked for me. All in all we enjoyed the location, the service was very helpful and attentive. Only in Kanab is a friendly little food truck in the SAMCO/Silver Eagle gas station parking lot…read more When we arrived around 6PM for a Sunday dinner, the little parking area right next to the truck was full of customers waiting to pick up their burgers, but there wasn't a line to order. Per the cashier, Zuzu, there would be an 18 minute wait for our food. She was on the dot correct, and 18 minutes later, we were biting in: Kanab Burger + Fries ($19) - Let's start with the patty. It's really good quality, about half an inch thick after cooking, still with a good portion of pink at medium-well doneness, resulting in a burger with plenty of moisture remaining inside. The patty, slightly smaller than the size of the bun, is charred well, but still tender and extremely beefy inside. The burger is slathered with a ton of chimichurri aioli, creamy, bright and herbaceous along with two slices of melted Muenster. It's so creamy that some starts dripping out as soon as the burger is lifted up. To add even more fat (which I honestly don't think is required), there are plenty of small avocado slices, followed by a single thin slice of tomato, which I found to be too small for the burger. There's then plenty of arugula, peppery and bitter to finish. It leads to a pretty well balanced burger, all on the bun emblazoned with the Only in Kanab logo. The bun compresses well to really cradle the ingredients. We ordered this with fries, which are pretty average in size and shape. Some are a bit over fried, but most are okay and still fluffy inside. They dust it with a liberal amount of seasoning salt, so it's quite salty. Shadow of the Dragon Burger ($14) - The burger patty is the same as above, but the other ingredients are mostly different. There's a garlicky and tangy sambal giving just a hint of heat. There's crunchy fried red bell pepper bits embedded in the hot sauce and then another creamy, slightly sweet sauce spread on the buns. It's overall not very spicy at all, and very messy to eat since things spill out easily. I think both burgers are a bit too abundant with the ingredients, but I don't think either were overloaded either. Overall these were very good burgers and a surprising find for such a small town where I didn't expect to find great food at all.
