We didn't arrive until late Christmas Eve and the lobby was shut down. (fine). We didn't know how to get into our room. After some phone calls were made, we were able to get in the room. As previously mentioned, this hotel/lodge is under new management and has been renovated /updated. Not all the rooms have been redone. The golden age of small bathrooms with no counter space has long since passed. Since we travel to SLC quite frequently, one night is perfect for the Parry Lodge.

Several famous movie stars stayed here back in the Westerns heydays. It has a fun retro vibe with a beautiful main building that houses the breakfast area as well as lovely sitting areas. It also has a lovely, well-maintained outdoor pool but I didn't end up taking advantage of it due to rain both evenings were we there. We stayed in the "Joey Bishop" cottage, which is actually connected to another suite next door. They gave us a free upgrade to a king suite because they accidentally canceled our reservation a few days before we were scheduled to arrive (still not sure what happened there). It definitely felt like a step back in time with historic design including a sitting porch outside and a roomy living room/bedroom as well as separate bathroom. It had a large "closet" area in the bathroom that was undoubtedly historic. There was also a fun window in the bathroom that hinged on the bottom but I don't think it opens anymore after many coats of paint. Also the living room floor sloped considerably but at least it had a smooth flooring over its entirety. Outlets were quite loose and of course did not have the modern cell phone connectors so good thing we brought our own converters from home. The included breakfast was delicious especially the sausage and the breakfast casserole. Very friendly and helpful waitstaff. Had an interesting barn in the back 40; my guess is for weddings and the like. Definitely fun to stay at, but be very, very careful walking around the property if you are elderly like us because we both tripped and almost face-planted a couple of times because of numerous up and down steps (some without railings) inside and out.

They have free (currently unlocked) wi-fi as well as paid internet if you use their computers. We got their ice blended mocha - it was too icy which watered down the supposed dark chocolate mocha. Oh wellz. Staff was really friendly and we found the space to be really comfortable and relaxing. There's free parking in their shared lot.

Stephanie was very accommodating and gave good recommendations for the area. The location is close enough to explore various national parks, but Kanab also has a ton of outdoor activities to offer! The kitchen space was bigger than expected making communal cooking a breeze. The tents come with an indoor fireplace which kept the space warm throughout the night. In the communal area, there are binoculars, board games and a telescope you can use during your stay. Highly recommend this place for a group/family trip or a romantic get away. Overall an amazing glamping experience, will definitely be back!

As soon as I got up to go to the bathroom, though she did try to clear my drinks immediately and was watching me like a hawk as if I were some sort of leper. It was interesting to see her entire personality change when a group of four retirees dressed differently driving in Lexus's rolled up. They were given a story of the history of the distillery of all the different spirits that they sold. They were offered taste of the rum and descriptions of the cocktails. I am not sure if it was because she thought they had more money than me or because the two owners happen to be in the establishment. I'm pretty sure it was the former and not the latter. She lost out on a big sale because they have incredible gin and vodka. I would've bought two bottles of each. However, I simply sat in silence, drank my cocktail flight, and then paid in cash, left her no tip and walked out the door. It's an incredible place, but unfortunately, a really terrible bartender can ruin it all by the way that she treats patrons, even if she makes a good cocktail. Sidenote- The girl at the brewery got a 40% tip. Camille do your job and be a better person. Stop judging people by how they look. My advice is if you want to be treated well here make sure you look like you have money or else you'll be kicked to the curb and treated like garbage. This is situated in a very outdoorsy area where people go to do outdoorsy things. I didn't know we were in Scottsdale, Arizona. The funny part is no one can dispute this because both owners were literally in there, and she never talked to me once. She has no defense and they should really coach her in basic hospitality. The stop is also convenient for the Emerald Pools trailhead, which is directly across the road. We grabbed some food and drinks and relaxed outside on the large lawn with an amazing view of the canyon walls. There are several choices depending on what you're looking for such as Red Rock Grill for a sit down meal, Castle Dome Café for coffee, quick meals and snacks, and a seasonal Beer Garden for cold drinks. The café also has a small market with grab and go food, picnic items and trail snacks! The lodge also has a gift shop, water filling stations, and restrooms both inside the building and next to the shuttle stop. After spending hours walking around the park, having everything in one convenient area is a huge plus! There are also lodge rooms and cabins for overnight guests, although we only stopped for food and drinks. Zion Lodge is a comfortable and convenient stopping point in the middle of the park. The food was solid, the atmosphere was relaxed, and sitting outside surrounded by Zion's scenery made the visit memorable! We saw a few Turkeys! Definitely worth getting off the shuttle for a break, even if you aren't staying at the lodge

We had booked a stay at Flanigan's in May 2026 with the intention to hike Angel's Landing and the…read moreNarrows. Leading up to our stay, Flanigan's sent me a ton of e-mails trying to upsell us on spa treatments, restaurant reservations, etc. On the flip side, I asked them multiple times if we would be able to leave our car parked at the hotel while we did one overnight on the Narrows and never got a response. This is an ongoing theme with these guys - their number one concern is cash and what they can get out of their guests, not the guests themselves. Two days before my stay, I got a "pre-registration" e-mail. This one included requests for things like credit card for the deposit, check in time, etc. This form I actually filled out and returned to Flanigan's. The next day (the day before I was meant to stay at Flanigan's) I got a phone call from them which I ignored. I subsequently got an e-mail from them saying that "per my request, my reservation was cancelled". Needless to say, I had NOT asked to cancel my reservation. I immediately responded and was told that the credit card I had given was declined and it is Flanigan's policy to cancel reservations in that case. Here's the kicker, though, they had charged the credit card I had used when I booked the reservation, NOT the one that I had given them in their stupid "pre-registration" e-mail. They hadn't even looked at that. They tried the credit card from the time of booking, gave me one phone call while I was at work, and then just cancelled the reservation. The day before we were supposed to go. The genius behind this effort was Garn Henderson. Garn would not accept anything but me calling them to update the card. They wouldn't even bother to charge the card that I had given them on the pre-registration form. When Garn proved completely useless, I was forwarded to resort manager Cade Campbell who proved to be the single worst resort professional I have ever met. Cade refused to apologize and, again, charge the card that I had given them and told me that Flanigan's has to resort to this policy because they're holding so many "high value rooms". A minute-long search on Trivago showed that this was a straight-up lie and that Flanigan's had all kinds of rooms available. They're just too lazy, rude, and unhelpful to bother to do the right thing. It got so bad that I told Cade to just go ahead and keep our reservation cancelled. The story has a happy ending as we found a great room at the Springhill Suites which was $200 cheaper and had staff that was wonderful and helpful. After we got to Springdale, we actually saw Flanigan's and it was clear that this place just bills itself as a "resort" so that it can charge a markedly higher price. It's indistinguishable from the Springhill Suites or the Best Western Plus. Just stay at one of those places and avoid this dump.

The toiletries come from the affiliated spa, Deep Canyon Spa. Complimentary water was also available in your room which room service refilled daily for you. There were also complimentary teas and coffee in your room as well. The grounds are lush with tons of photo opportunities. The labyrinth is a must with spectacular views of Zion. We went to the spa daily and also tried out their affiliated restaurant Spotted Dog. Both places are must do's too! But my favorite thing about this place is it appears there's a veteran neighbor: a deer that was there in the garden hanging out in the shade every day!! It was so cute!
