    Sunrise over the butte(?)

The name says it all. Great location to jump-off. Host Amy was super friendly and easily reachable. Common area was well stocked and comfortable. Showers, bathroom, kitchen, wifi and grill were great. Views were exceptional and tent clean and comfortable. Solar powered batteries powered up all our devices. Great experience and venue for first-timers/family of 4.

What an amazing campground!…read more We spent a week here in October 2025 and fell in love with the campground!! Wonderful friendly staff!! Can't say enough about Ashley who checked in on our fur babies while we out exploring the area! She is professional but yet treated our 2 standard poodles like they were hers. We were out longer than expected, sent her a text saying we would be later than expected. Ashley went and checked on our girls providing true peace of mind!! I wish more campgrounds offered pet setting services. This is a wonderful place for photographers and astronomers of all levels. So much to see and do!

The amenities alone stand out--clean, well-lit facilities, warm showers, and even heated floors (yes, heated floors!). Everything is thoughtfully provided on an honor system, which adds to the welcoming, trusting atmosphere. When we arrived, we realized we had accidentally booked our stay one day too early. Instead of turning us away, they graciously offered us a boondocking spot and invited us to a once-a-week complimentary dinner for all guests. It turned into a wonderful evening around the fire pit, connecting with fellow travelers. Meeting the owners was an added highlight--they were as warm and inviting as the meal they shared. We feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this special place in the middle of such a beautiful desert.

The pull through were really sizable not a problem to get in and out of with plenty of room. Picnic table was metal and plastic topped and was sitting on cement which was great. It has a fence all the way around the property and it was located a little bit on the edge of town, which is nice. We like those kind of RV spots. The water was really good. It did have a lot of pressure (which the RV company makes mention of so that you're prepared and if you do not have a water pressure gauge, they have them but you would need to be to their office before four when they close) so we just used our water pressure attachment to the spicot and everything was fine. It's a very doable problem. I would rather have too much pressure than not enough. we were just passing through and we spent one night but it was very pleasant. It was quiet, but it was quite windy. That's for sure but I think there's a lot of wind that comes through that area anyway we would definitely stay here again.

We were also very pleased that without a reservation when we showed up after 9pm and no one was at the office, we just parked, went to sleep and easily paid the next morning. The staff here were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were happy to have our pick of parking spot to maximize privacy, scenic view and proximity to bathhouse. All the guests of the resort were all quite low key, quiet and kept to themselves with a friendly wave though. I'd be very happy to stay here again if we were ever in the area. Highly recommend.

Vegetarian reviewer: We stopped at this cool and beautiful cafe on our way to Zion National park…read more We absolutely loved the vibe and were excited about the vegan burritos. Cool stuff all around the cafe, you could actually spend a good amount of time and relax here. The burritos were disappointing and I am pretty sure it was some packaged store bought salsa (costs extra). It was smaller in size, apt for the price. We also got a big stoned jewelry (the chain broke coz of a slight pull in my 2nd wear, sigh). Well, it was locally made and the owner thanked me for the support. I'll continue enjoying the pendant in another chain. My friend loved his tshirt and he probably feels it was a good buy. All in all, I think the burritos could clearly have tasted better, it was too bland .. wish we'd tried a drink instead of buying two of those burritos. Kanab is such a beautiful small town, so close to the gorgeous creations of nature. We will be back for sure!

What a thrill. Just got back from the 8 day motorized raft trip! Been waiting my whole adult life…read morefor this trip and it did not disappoint! Our guide Adam was the best. He knew the river and canyon backwards and forwards. He was a great storyteller and a wonderful guide and boatman. I always felt safe and he got us the best camping spots and the knew the best side canyons to explore. Swamper Orion was awesome. He was a great cook and a hard worker. We were never hungry! Both these guys were the best.

What can you say? This was glamping beyond my wildest expectations! The food was fresh every day,…read moretwo hot meals and a cold lunch each day, cold juice and soda beverages at any time. The guides, Glade and Hannah, were terrific, like personal chefs there to assure you had a great time and were safe. They aimed at the best part of every rapid- a real E-ticket ride. Some advice: 1. bring more alcohol-it was hot in August, probably 100, we are not big drinkers but 3-4 cold beers a day would sure have been nice, we ran out on day 6 2. wear light colored clothes if the weather is going to be warm 3. bring a walking stick, very helpful on the hikes scrambling over boulders and rocks 4. bring more alcohol 5. a waterproof day pack to have some gear readily accessible on the raft would have been nice 6. Have a set of river shoes, and a set of hiking shoes for shore excursions. My river shoes were great on wet rocks in the river, but tenuous at best when hiking 7. bring more alcohol 8. I balked at the sarong idea and regretted it, sarong would have been great to keep cool on the raft and to provide additional sun protection 9. Gel or spray on deodorant would have been nice, I brought body wash but it did not really cut it. 10. Consider going in May-mid July time frame when river is running clear. Once monsoon season starts in Arizona the river runs silty. Still a great trip. GCE is one of the few companies that provides cots and sleeping pads and sleeping bags as part of the experience, other companies might charge extra.
