What an amazing campground!…read more We spent a week here in October 2025 and fell in love with the campground!! Wonderful friendly staff!! Can't say enough about Ashley who checked in on our fur babies while we out exploring the area! She is professional but yet treated our 2 standard poodles like they were hers. We were out longer than expected, sent her a text saying we would be later than expected. Ashley went and checked on our girls providing true peace of mind!! I wish more campgrounds offered pet setting services. This is a wonderful place for photographers and astronomers of all levels. So much to see and do!

The bathrooms are truly top-of-the-line--spotless, modern, and better maintained than many hotels. The entire property is incredibly clean and well cared for, which made the stay that much more comfortable. The RV sites are spacious, well laid out, and offer a beautiful view that really elevates the whole experience. One detail I especially appreciated was the kitchen sink area for washing dishes--such a simple feature, but so convenient and thoughtfully provided. What really sets this place apart, though, is the host. They were genuinely kind, welcoming, and full of great recommendations for things to do in the area. That personal touch made all the difference. And the value? Unmatched. With prices starting around $30, it's hard to believe you're getting this level of quality. Honestly, this campground surpasses any RV site I've stayed at. I would recommend this place to anyone, anytime. Already looking forward to coming back!

The whole space is very nicely landscaped and individual sites are spread out.

We stayed at site R15, and I personally think it is THE best site on the grounds. The only reason I took a star off is they give you one token per person per day, which is for a hot, 6-minute shower. I've never camped anywhere where they give you barely enough time to shower. At least make it a solid 10-minute shower. That was bananas. I was scared to be sudsy and my shower cut off or something. Other than that, LOVED this place! They have a small pool that we did not ever go in, but the Virgin River was fun! Bring a tube to blow up or go buy one at the hardware shop. If we ever go to Zion again, we will definitely stay here and try to get site R15.

My family and I have been staying here for the last four years…read more We got married in Utah two years ago. The front desk staff was great but the other staff such as housekeepers and groundskeepers weren't very friendly here, seems like it really hurts to even say goodbye morning. We stayed in a cabin this time around and had an ant problem. Mind you we didn't have any food with us. They took care of the issue right away but we still had an ongoing issue My parents stayed at the campground and they enjoyed it. Personally, the price is very high. The river is nice to have nearby. The views and location overall is really nice. I do think more trees would be beneficial especially during the summer months. There is one pool which gets pretty crowded. Hopefully with the high prices they will consider adding a second pool or splash pad for kids. Lastly, and this isn't really the businesses issue although I think the unfriendliness of staff is a result of the climate in today's world. A family staying in the cabin next to us clearly did not like Hispanics. Male white in his 50s approximately 130 pounds wearing a MAGA hat A female Hispanic or Asian 40 years old approx 150 pounds A 14 year old Asian mix boy And possibly a younger boy The male said a racist comment to me as his son laugh and then stared at me as I walked to my car because I was Hispanic. Yet his wife looked hispanic and son Asian. I responded with that was incredibly rude and to have a nice day. The poor man is a confused coward. But I couldn't help but notice every single worker I saw was indeed white, so again the man is confused because I'm not white so I don't work at this facility. It's sad that that family will breed hate into this world and the man probably can't sleep at night because brown people exist haha. That's not what we need in today's world . But for me and my house we will continue to be brown and praise Jesus! I think my family and I will try to stay somewhere else next year.

Adding to this nostalgic atmosphere is Kathy, the host, who provides meaning and memories for everything in the home. While stepping back in time is enjoyable, and discovering something new in each room is entertaining, the experience of staying at the inn is very much modern and comfortable. If you are ever in Kanab, a stay at the Inn is a must. Kathy's attention to her guests enhances the pleasure of staying at the inn. Her attention to detail is boundless. The coziness of the bed and bedding, along with her thoughtful care of her guests, does not go unnoticed. And, of course, one cannot compliment her breakfasts enough. Delicious fruit, beautifully displayed, fresh juice of your choice, and mouthwatering entrées are all part of the experience. If you don't already have plans, Kathy will help you with her ideas, resourcefulness, maps, and brochures. Her husband, Tory, available when he can be, is also a gracious host and tends the bountiful garden that supplies much of Kathy's cooking. The two are so much fun to get to know and share conversations with, and it's clear that they are just as delighted by their guests, whether they've come from across the globe or just a state away. I didn't expect to make such lasting memories, but I can confidently say that you cannot go wrong choosing the Purple Sage Inn.

August 31 - Sept 3, 2026 - Zion National Park…read more We stayed here for 3 nights, and there's really nothing like staying inside Zion National Park. We had beautiful mountain views right from our campsite. Our site had electric hookups, but no water or sewer. There is an RV dump station on site, which also had water available for tank fills. The location is definitely the biggest advantage. Every morning, we could walk a short distance to the shuttle and head out for another great hike. We could also walk to the Visitor Center. And, both a blessing and a curse, it was an easy walk across the bridge into Springdale, where we had a couple of meals and a few drinks at Zion Brewery. Just remember to take your park pass and ID with you--you'll need them to get back into the park. When I made the reservation, I chose a shady site fairly close to the river. Then we arrived on a day when there were flash floods, and suddenly being close to the river didn't seem like such a great idea. Our site also had a tree with low-hanging branches that rubbed the top of our RV whenever the wind picked up. I definitely questioned my campsite choice a few times. This isn't a campground where you're going to feel completely "away from it all." We could see Cable Mountain Lodge across the river, and the lights from the lodge and businesses in Zion Canyon Village were noticeable at night. There was some noise, too. But honestly, the location more than made up for it. Being right in the park and having such easy access to the shuttle was worth it. And watching the sunset over the mountains from our campsite, then waking up to deer hanging out just a few feet from our RV, was pretty special. We'd definitely stay here again.

Pros I side the campground walking distance to the little town get the bus to Zion park or rent e-bikes to get around. No cars allowed to the Narrows. Get the bus to the town of Springdale eat shop rent stuff. Cons: expect delays this is in the national park always a line to get in walking riding a bike or driving your car. If going to the Narrows busses start around 7 or 8 am. Bike pickup are early whenever you want them so pick up your bike early to get back into the park before the line starts. Campsites are big not all crunched up you have plenty of space between you and your neighbor. When it's a little windy no fires and hat so ever. Flushable toilets squirrels are aggressive here taking a nap outside and a got scratched by one.

We didn't arrive until late Christmas Eve and the lobby was shut down. (fine). We didn't know how to get into our room. After some phone calls were made, we were able to get in the room. As previously mentioned, this hotel/lodge is under new management and has been renovated /updated. Not all the rooms have been redone. The golden age of small bathrooms with no counter space has long since passed. Since we travel to SLC quite frequently, one night is perfect for the Parry Lodge.

After several stays in the Kanab, Utah, area over decades to visit Best Friends Animal Sanctuary,…read morefinally decided to try the historic Parry Lodge in Kanab. Several famous movie stars stayed here back in the Westerns heydays. It has a fun retro vibe with a beautiful main building that houses the breakfast area as well as lovely sitting areas. It also has a lovely, well-maintained outdoor pool but I didn't end up taking advantage of it due to rain both evenings were we there. We stayed in the "Joey Bishop" cottage, which is actually connected to another suite next door. They gave us a free upgrade to a king suite because they accidentally canceled our reservation a few days before we were scheduled to arrive (still not sure what happened there). It definitely felt like a step back in time with historic design including a sitting porch outside and a roomy living room/bedroom as well as separate bathroom. It had a large "closet" area in the bathroom that was undoubtedly historic. There was also a fun window in the bathroom that hinged on the bottom but I don't think it opens anymore after many coats of paint. Also the living room floor sloped considerably but at least it had a smooth flooring over its entirety. Outlets were quite loose and of course did not have the modern cell phone connectors so good thing we brought our own converters from home. The included breakfast was delicious especially the sausage and the breakfast casserole. Very friendly and helpful waitstaff. Had an interesting barn in the back 40; my guess is for weddings and the like. Definitely fun to stay at, but be very, very careful walking around the property if you are elderly like us because we both tripped and almost face-planted a couple of times because of numerous up and down steps (some without railings) inside and out.
