I really don't want to share this place in case it gets so busy we cant get a reservation. Buttttt, I also want the owners to do well, so....
I really loved my stay here- I booked it for the tail end of our vacation but wished I had allotted more time here. Next time! Oh yes, there will be a next time.
This RV Park is brand new. Super easy reservation system- you can see what sites are available for the dates you want and even lock in the site you want (extra fees apply). The website was easy to navigate and the check in process even easier. Contactless but owners were ready in person or via text too, in case you needed any help. It is new, so we were a tad bit confused when rolling through but Britt came out to help us, and we were on our way to our site. We pull in and notice the huge spaces that have been thoughtfully designed to minimize looking into your neighbor's window- unless you're into that- we're not, haha! Social distancing to the max. Plus, the layout kind of provided a private enclave to host your outside bbqs or propane fire pits (no wood fires allowed). Each site comes with FHU, the best wifi connection (for all you taking online classes or WFH), log seats, a small table (that can be easily cleaned and sanitized) and amazing sunset, sunrise, canyon and star views. We saw large class A motor homes, travel trailers, 5th wheels, and pop up campers here- all of them gets plenty of space. Yes, even those gigantic motorhomes will have lots of space. 40 acres is a lot of land. I can see them expanding in the future.
This place is good for those in their golden years seeking peace and tranquility, or those with kids, or couples like us with our dogs- good for all groups. Even tent camping! Tent camping is spacious and private and their common restrooms are beautiful. We didn't use them because we have a bathroom inside our travel trailer. Our dogs loved this place. They have a pretty well sized dog run with doggie bags but they have a 10 acre fenced dog park located about .20 miles from the main camp area. It's also super close to the Pink Coral Sand dunes which is dog friendly as well, offering sand boarding, atv and dirt biking. They also have an outdoor dog wash/dish wash area (I'm assuming for the tent campers). Kanab has a lot of cool outdoor activities. If you run out of anything, the town has groceries and stores (we liked Honey's Marketplace- only a 5 minute drive away). I believe the park itself has a small mercantile store in the works, but until then, the grocery isn't too far away.
We were camping for a month, and this place was the best place to do our laundry. They have actual HE washers you find in your home and it is charged by the honor system- a box to drop off cash or pay through Venmo. I opted for the Venmo. $2. That means using HE detergent, not regular detergent. If you pick heavy duty, be prepared to wait almost 2 hours for one cycle. And please- leave the washer door open after use. It needs to air out. I noticed the previous person who used it didn't leave it open- all that excess moisture just trapped inside? Not ideal. We also set a timer so we can grab our laundry as soon as it is done so others don't have to wait to use the washer after us. Feel free to adopt these manners as your own to become the best RVer, ever, ha!
The park is fairly new so the owners are still adding things to it, and I predict they'll only enhance the loveliness of this park. It is going under one of my top favorite 3 campsites I've stayed at in the 4 years of RVing with my hubs and our dogs.
Did I mention the blanket of stars you will see here at night? I sat out both nights, sitting in my chair just looking up into a sky full of beaming, luminous spheroids of plasma aka stars. read more
